In this episode I visit the region of Andalucia (Andalusia), in Southern Spain. I visit the towns of Seville and Jerez. Seville and Jerez are rich in history, with an interesting 500 years of Muslim rule! I learn all about this fascinating history and its lasting influence on the architecture by visiting the Real Alcazar (Royal Palace), go on a delicious tapas tour with a local from Seville, listen to the famous flamenco music, attend the famous Horse Fair in Jerez, try Jerez's famous sherries, and chat to the friendly locals! Olé!

This is by far the best video of Seville and Jerez I’ve ever seen, given that it reflects the soul of the land by showing locals, markets and everyday life.
I spent many of my childhood summers in Sevilla with my maternal grandparents and extended family. I have so many amazing memories. Sevilla always felt like home to me and I hope one day to return and never leave!

Sevilla looks amazing ! I am living in Spain since 6 years Barcelona first and then Madrid but I would like to visit Sevilla and Granada. Spain is an amazing country.
I was in Sevilla last June. We travelled by Bus from Algarve to the city. By the time we rented a car, and head to our hotel, it was still early so we decided to go this famous square which i forgot the name. We were walking back late at night we turned right into this random street and there was hundreds of people celebrating some Andalusian party which has won the election. We had no idea what was going on but we joined the party and danced with the locals. They gave us Andalusia flags, my son asked me are they giving us Nigeria flags? lol.

This the answer that you expect to resolve your doubts. At 19 of June of 2022 it's development the regional elections on Andalusia. I was so important because from the beginning of the regional self-government (1980)it's was ruled only the left party PSOE (Partido Socialista Obrero Español ; Spanish Laboral Socialist Party) along 42 years. On the IX legistalure, (2018) a triple coalition between the conservative party Partido Popular (Popular party) with the supply of right central party ciudadanos and extremely right Vox achieve compose a government,ending the four decades of the regional leftist government. On the dates of your visit the conservative Party decided to call early elections with very favorable results; they had achieved an absolute majority and did not need their coalition partners. Therefore, it was confirmed that the socialist party was no longer synonymous with Andalusia.
Pir true, in 1931 an Andalusian notary was reflecting on the peculiar characteristics of Andalusia as a regional identity, Blas Infante, influenced by a certain Islamic orientalism. He wrote a book called "the Andalusian ideal" where he synthesized his reflections and composed a hymn and a flag, the latter inspired by the flag of the Umayyads, who found refuge after the massacre of their family by the Abbasids. The survivor established an independent kingdom and theirs sucessors develop a great muslin kingdom centered on Cordoba and Andalusia.

Sevilla is the heart of the modern world (having lived there for only a month almost 20m years ago) yet all of its past still resonates today..... Sevilla is forever in my heart and soul...it instantly feels like home! Jerez is a close 2nd possibly beaten by arcos de la frontera for beauty alone from my hotel balcony 2 years ago

The flamenco dress with polka dots looks good on you, you could pass for Spanish, nobody would notice the difference, also your accent when you say words in Spanish is quite good, similar to the accent of the Balkans or Slavic peoples.
I love the way you describe the places you visit and the way you give us historical information, it's so interesting and captivating. I've visited Valencia last year and now after this video I hope I will also get the chance to visit Seville and Jerez. I'm charmed, from the food, the drinks, the people and the way they spend quality time with each other. Spain is so lively and fascinating!

I traveled here last April 2022 and I Love Spain and especially Sevilla, I think,of living here but leaving Texas is a tough one no doubt, The culture and vibe I just can’t get enough of it, Language is no issue so that’s a plus.

I was in Sevilla during la Semana Santa and with all the processions, Sevilla got a different beauty seeing those Nazarenos walking down the street.

Spain have lots of beautiful cities. I had a few hours to kill once so went into Malaga town center to do some shopping, gorgeous tree lined streets. Another superb biopic Malini. Note to self, must do some city break mini holidays in Spanish cities

Great video Malini - very authentic. I felt like I was there and well versed in some of the customs / traditions. It must be SO hot in the summer, I don’t know how they can stand being in those layers of clothes at the peak hours of the day - ouch!

I do prefer the feria del Cabello de Jerez over the feria de Sevilla because I love caballos and the atmosphere is much more open. In Sevilla, all private on invitation. Soy de Malaga.
