Good morning, I am looking for to get my first cuckoo clock. I love the idea of the light sensor to automatic switch off the cuckoo sound at night but is also love the cuckoo sound made by the mechanical whistle. I undersnad there are a automatic night mechanical cuckoo clock. Are those good?

Mechanic Clocks have a very Long lifetime yes. And the automatic shut Off, silences the clock for 12 hours. Ususally the bigger 8 day cuckoo Clocks all have this Feature.

Hello, not at all. You can wind it as often as you like ;). Minimum is ones a week, or it stops running ;)

My Schneider black forest clock doesn't have the vds sticker in it but has made in Germany stamped into the gear case. Everything checks out but no sticker inside, is it possible it's still authentic?
