Thank you! I was so scared to try adjusting the hands on the clock. Who knew that all you had to do was take out the batteries and set it to 12?! Such an easy fix and it works perfectly now.
Thank you so much for your informitive video!! I have a cucoo clock that my husband got me for Christmas and it fell off the wall. After that, it would cucoo 15 past the hour and I had no idea how to fix it. Because of your video, I was able to correct it and now it works beautifully!
Hello, While resetting the time, by mistake the hour hand moved a little and now the clock is not cuckooing, though it’s showing the correct time. How can i fix it. Batteries are new. Sound is on. Please help. Thank you.
my batteries are brand and I put Energizer batteries in my Cuckoo Clock and My cuckoo bird will come out only when I push the button on the back of the clock and I even checked the clock to see if it was level on the wall this is so frustrating can you please help me?
Hello, I have quartz cuckoo clock. The hour hand is not moving when I am rotating minute hand via hand. Although, when operated via battery, the hour hands moves on completion of 60 minute by minute hand. Any suggestions how to troubleshoot this?
These older movements are no longer available so you need to replace the entire movement including the bird motor. The case may need modifying as the newer movements, cuckoo doors etc are a different shape and size
How can you bypass/disable the light sensor? Unless I point a flashlight beam directly at the sensor, it will not cuckoo or play music. I want to know what wires I have to connect to bypass?
Hi there, I have place a light source at the sensor but it is still not playing music even with the switch on and volume on. What could be the other possible problem? Thanks
I have a cuckoo clock, and the hands fell off. I put the hands back on, but my clock is calling at weird times. I am going to try your technique of taking the hands off and trying to get it to call at the proper time and the correct number of cuckoos.
I have a battery operated Cuckoo clock i purchased at the Black Forest in Germany and it stopped "cuckooing" on the hour and was totally wrong number of sounds when it did sound after setting it after daylight savings time. My second hand was loose after taking it down to set the time and when i got it to "catch" it was not where it was supposed to be. I learned you can move the hour hand and also take the minute hand off and put it at the right time and that fixed my clock. I am so relieved that my clock strikes exactly when it should and the correct number of strikes! Thank you for this informative video!
Could be many different reasons. First thing is always replace the batteries with brand new ones to eliminate the power source being the issue. Then check the connection of the wires to the waterwheel motor. Also check for any interference. Possibly something touching the waterwheel? Maybe the motor itself needs replacing.
Hi there … i have this original cuckoo clock since last 15 years and there wasn’t any problem. However, since last one month it has suddenly started moving fast by 5 minutes and gradually increasing the time difference. I have changed the batteries too. How do i fix it ?
Same problem for me too. I bought the clock in the cuckoo clock house in Germany. I tried the steps but it does not work please help On this @ClockShopMontville
Thank you for taking the time to create such an informative video. I have a more simple clock, which contains a similar integrated light sensor with the on off and volume control. We love the chime and would like to disable the light sensor so it will chime 24H ... do you have any advice on how to do this? Many thanks
Hi Valentino, you could place the light sensor near a light source such as a night light or lamp, effectively 'tricking' the light sensor into thinking it is always day time
Our cockoo clock (battery operated) keeps perfect time, the cockoo bird comes out doors and cockoo's on each hour as it should, but the little children which revolve around while music plays have stopped revolving throughout music playing, seeming to hang up on something and disc also stops turning. Slight nudge gets it moving again, but then it continues to hang. It now doesn't revolve while music plays. What is the solution to repair?
You might need to change the batteries, or bring the clock in for a service. Sometimes the oil or grease they use can dry up and that little movement seizes in some way.
My cuckoo clock worked perfectly since I bought it. But a month after buying it, it stopped singing. I changed the batteries but it doesn't sing. The clock, the pendulum and the cuckoo work, but it doesn't ring. What can I do?
Is this a clock from us? If so, what is your order number or what is the model so I can help you with this enquiry. If it isn't from us I may also be able to assist you if you have the model number
What to do when the cock is chiming correctly on the hour but it's three minutes earlier than the actual correct time? Do I move the minute hand backward 3 minutes or forwards to catch up? Or take the minute hand off to do so then reposition somewhere? It's a mathematical puzzle I just can't solve. Every time I set the clock back from daylight savings or forwards for daylight savings I face this same dilemma, whether it's chiming earlier or later.
Hi there, you can remove the batteries, position the hands between 12 and 1, re-insert the batteries and move the hands clockwise around to set the correct time.
My cuckoo clock doesn't cuckoo. I have new batteries in it. Also set it correctly. Every once in a while, it will cuckoo, but it is rare when this happens. It has a photo switch that I thought might be not getting enough light so I mounted a light bulb near it. Didn't help. Anyone? Please help.

Thank you for this video. I was going nuts trying to sync it up. I did not know I could move the hour hand.😊
Thanks a lot! My cuckoo wasn't counting correctly and I fixed it thanks to you!

How to change the quartsclock movement on a 2 D size battery clock

My batteries are draining in a week. They are Duracell batteries. Do you know why this might happen? My house can get cold. Is that why?

Thank you…💖from the 🇬🇧
Thank you for your video.. It fixed my problem with my clock
Glad it helped

Great, didn't know there was a light sensor. Changed the batteries after work (evening) and nothing happened. Now i know
Mine won't cucu at all nor does the angel music box turn
Has the guide helped you at all? Sometimes these clocks just need a good ol' service or a replacement movement.
