I really don’t think Freddie truly realized how much he meant to everyone. How much his music touched our souls. I really do believe he’d be really shocked if he knew how loved he & his music still are. RIP Freddie. If anybody ever earned their wings, it was you. 🖤🎶🖤
So close to the end of touring...makes it all the more tender to watch Freddie in this frozen moment of film. To hear him sing "when I grow older" knowing he would not. But for others listening, they might only hear the promise not kept to them. The power of music to find you where you are can be a salve for wounds.
every time I hear this song it gives me chills....my brother passed when he was 28 years old...he loved queen...this song I dedicate to him with a candle lit on his birthday every year...he was my baby brother....I never miss a year...I miss him so much I loved him so much....last words...I will always love you
Great reaction. I was in that crowd in July 1986 (Saturday night) after first seeing Queen live at Live Aid in 1985 when I was 16 years old and have been a fan ever since and am now 55 !!!! I also saw them again in August 1986 when Freddie performed his last ever LIVE performance with Queen, there were 150,000.0 of us that day in the crowd and Queen flew in by helicopters, it was amazing. However tragically and sadly someone forgot to press the "record" button and all that remains to this day is what fans managed to capture which back in 1986 wasn't great and was very very fuzzy indeed. RIP my hero Freddie, you were and still are a LEGEND to this day you beautiful Persian Poppinjay (his own words).
Never tire of this song. Oh, the emotion. Made me tear up again! Poetry indeed, Hap! Thanks for a fantastic reaction. Hoping for more in the future!! 💜🎵 👑
I find it amazing how one man with a incredible voice and presence, can reach into our heart and never leave, nor would we want him to.. Freddie Mercury is and always will be the greatest frontman to ever grace the stage. I throughly enjoyed your reaction, thank you. 💙🌈👑🕊🫶
Oh wow, that was so beautiful!!! You’re right HAP…it was like pure poetry. Freddie’s voice is always just so perfect. With just Brian on the guitar, it was beautiful. 🌻🌻
Thank you Hap, this is my favourite version. I love how Freddie sings with his whole body, his voice soares up into the sky, and conducts the audience at the same time.
Freddie wrote it but Brian rearranged the studio version (which is a masterpiece itself, full of beautiful harmonies and Brian also plays a harp 😮 ) for an acoustic guitar and vocal that he and Freddie performed live. There is no way that this song doesn't bring tears to you eyes. It is just breathtaking ...
I'm with you I tear up to,the come back phrase it hard I don't know why I wish he could come back. He feels it so much because this was as I'm sure you know written for Mary. Wow he is missed I have been a fan since 71 and play some queen every day. Thanks for helping to keep this alive.x
Hey man love to know how old you are. Not being weird... Just asking. I was 6 when this happened. Great to see you watching something that blows every generations minds Before and after us. The tears were nice to see. Remember this moment. It wont happen again. Not like this.
I was there that night, best gig ever, what a night. We were just about underneath the big spotlight you can see in the stadium roof wwhen you see Freddie from behind. Choose any song from it, all brilliant.
1986 Queen had performed the famous Magic Tour where they had performed 26 live shows across Western Europe, then Queen came home to perform two nights at Wembley Stadium to the home crowd, the concerts over two nights 72,000 crowd at each night, both Wembley performances were a sellout, so Queen added a concert in August 1986 at Knebworth Park United Kingdom, this was Freddie’s very last live performance with Queen, the crowd at Knebworth was estimated to be around 120-140 thousand people, I attended LiveAid, and both Wembley Stadium concerts and also Knebworth Park, the backup bands at Knebworth Park were Big Country, and Status quo, fond memories of them times, also Brian May is playing a twelve string acoustic guitar in the performance of Love Of My Life! Great reaction thanks 🙏
Thanks for getting back to Queen! They never get old even if you have heard the songs before. Queen is the main musical influence in my life, even though do love all other types and groups. Queen just holds special place in my heart. Thanks Hap for all the reactions, much appreciated! Take care.
Awww. So sweet. I think it’s on the live killers album, Freddie intros the song by saying “this song has become a duet bc that’s the way we like it.” They were a force. Eta: 😢his is a Freddie song
Love your reactions Hap, it's always obvious that you're so tuned in to all of Queen. Seeing you get emotional when Freddie's singing really resonates with us because we all feel it too. 👑 he is so missed.
Don’t know why Hap but I felt more emotional listening to this song today. I’ve heard it a gazillion times but… maybe I’m missing Freddie more than usual .Anyway thank you 🌷
It's good to see you reacting to more Queen. I always enjoy your cogent commentary. Have you reacted to Is This The World We Created? It's another bit of pure poetry with Brian and Freddie.
QUEEN 👑❤️ and your reaction HAP, what more to ask for ☺️. So pure, as you mentioned, like poetry ☺️. How easy he conducts the immense audience, as it’s said „he has the crowd in the palm of his hands“- magical ✨. The final part of this performance, where Freddie bows and shows his rear 🤩, is still used in live performances to this day. Brian sings the song with the audience and this part is shown at the end - heartmelting❤️. Thank you HAP for this emotional reaction ❤️👑🙋🏻♀️.
Brian didn’t write it! Freddie wrote it for his soul mate Mary Austin. That’s why it seemed so personal to him!! It’s my favorite performance of the song.
Absolutley gorgeous! I vehemently agree, pure poetry indeed that never fails to touch the soul dead center bull's eye every time! The power Freddie had over that crowd, conducting them: magic, pure and simple!
Check out Feel Like by Queen. It’s an early studio demo that they were working on in Montreaux when Queen and David Bowie decided to collaborate on a song. They used Feel Like as the basis for Under Pressure. I like the song. Wish it would have been finished in its original state.
Yea, Queen! Thanks, HAP! I thought you had seen this performance. It's one of my favorites for this song. Always great to see you. Freddie wrote this one allegedly for Mary.
I must have listened to this one a thousand times and am moved to tears every time .❤
And...we still love You, Freddie! 💕 Thanks, HAP, for one more emotional reaction to Queen! It's always special

Freddie and Brian so beautiful you can feel it in your heart ❤❤
We still love you,Freddie❤️

A brilliant concert Wembley '86.. had family members in the crowd..and watched it several times on YT.

This was written by Freddie to Mary, who, was the love of his life ❤️
This is written by Freddie. Check out the album version, it's exquisite. A favorite love song of mine since the late 70's.
Heyup Haps, I believe Freddie wrote this song for the love of his life Mary Austin..................Beautiful.
Yes, Freddie wrote this for Mary
This is one of my very favorites….knowing how very little time we had left with Freddie. It makes me cry every single time. Thanks Hap! T ✌🏻
Gives me chills hearing this ❤️
I was at this concert with my friend- we'd traveled up from S Wales . Stays with you forever....😊 ❤
Wow, so fortunate, what a moment.
Snap, I still have the ticket stub and t-shirt.
Memories that will never die

Absolutely!!!
You really need to hear the remastered studio version.
Amo tus reacciones a Queen. Escucharlos siempre está lleno de emoción, e irónicamente se siente como un espacio seguro ❤️

It’s yes, brilliant, eerie, weaving…………..Hap you always capture it :) ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
This is magical moment in music history ❤.
Absolutely AMAZING, as always ❤ But research shows Freddie wrote and composed this song, not Brian...am I wrong? Wouldn't be the first time 😂
