Think about it: almost 40 years later, the electricity is still there and you wanna jump out of your seat and applaud. Astonishing. Thanks for the post.
Sometimes it’s painful to watch knowing the long term outcome. Quite simply one of the greatest artists ever to sing on stage. Such an unbelievable range with amazing control.
The one and only. Freddie made you believe he sang this song straight to you. In fact every song he sang was between you and him. Rio needs to be seen with this song. Amazing and truly emotional
Not enough can be said about this performance? Freddie’s vocals plus Brian on the 12 string guitar? Yeah, epic. Brian is SO great playing with someone singing too. They are timed perfectly together. Just like the encore at Live Aid, just the 2 of them performing Is this the World We Created! ❤️
This song always bring tears to my eyes! He wrote it for his Mary, whom he loved dearly! They were engaged at one time, but didn't marry - for obvious reasons. She stayed at his side until the end...
Yes, Freddie trusted Mary explicitly leaving her nearly everything in his estate. Mary still lives in Garden Lodge where Freddie called home! Just read the other day that she said everything in Garden Lodge is very much the way Freddie left it. I can’t imagine being there with all of Freddie’s “things”. Wow!
@@nancykaminski8600 - I've never heard that before and, of course, any thing is possible. I think it tugs at the heartstrings when you think it's Freddie "love letter" to Mary, but I guess this could have been what he saw as the outcome to their "break-up" conversation one night, too. It's bitter-sweet either way. 😪💔
Love you Freddie and love you George and Patrick for doing this one!!!! Please continue with Queen. They are legends and Freddie was a gift to be shared with future generations.....
Thanks for choose this song....it s very important for every queen fans....this is the freddi mercury's song!! Dont forghet this guys....peace...ciao!! ♥️🇮🇹
shivers all over my body, absolutely incredible how he could hypnotize and direct a whole crowd...the greatest showman of all times!I love you Freddie, forever and ever
They haven’t done it yet? I thought they had, but I couldn’t find it in their videos. OMG, we have to put that right! That performance is hands down the most energetic from all of them, not just Freddie! Roger’s drumming is incredible
I love acoustic guitar songs - this one is gorgeous, Brian May is just an amazing guitarist whether it's electric or acoustic. This live version does give you chills as you say, and it's very emotional. What can you say about Queen that hasn't already been said? Such a great band with a catalogue of wonderful songs. An amazing singer in Freddie Mercury with such chemistry and he could always hold an audience. Anyone who saw Queen live would never forget it, that's for sure. Beautiful song and sung so well by Freddie - what a performer he was. Thanks so much for reacting to this, guys, another fantastic song from the wonderful Wembley concert. Thanks for your reaction too - cheers.
YES! That is the power of Freddie! You can feel it…he loves us almost as much as WE love him! He’s been gone 30+ years…and we are still as heartbroken. It hasn’t lessened over time. We raised our kids on Queen, and they will do the same with their kids. I STILL love you, Freddie❣️💔
Welcome back guys. We knew you couldn’t stay away for too long. Freddie has the power, he keeps drawing us back. For another beautiful acoustic song, You Take My Breath Away live at Hyde Park. It’s just Freddie and his piano, so beautiful. It was a free concert they put on for the fans and about 150,000 people turned up, but you could have heard a pin drop. They were enchanted
I'm sure every tour was a lot of hard work, but Queen made it look so easy & effortless. I think Freddie as charismatic and talented as he was, was destined to be legendary. Thanks again guys
Beautiful love song from Freddie and Brian's guitar out of this world. Give 'you take my breath away' a listen, just Freddie a piano and an entranced audience 😊
I have seen Queen last year here in Canada with Adam Lambert..Brian May sings this song and they show Freddie Mercury's hologram in the screen and they made it like Brain and Freddie touched hand..still a powerful song then and till now
@@debramoore7513 Yes he writhe this for Mary, what she could have said to him when they brooke up, or he brooke up with her.....omg thinking of losing Freddie 🥺😭😭
No one could command an audience like Freddie Mercury. Watching (MTV) Queen during Live Aid 1985 is the immaculate performance and made me a super fan!
You could do several reactions just for this one song. So many emotional & outstanding performances. All different, all amazing. Love seeing these 2 perform together.
I loved your reaction to the audience participation in this performance! Another fun audience performance you might enjoy is this version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody: th-cam.com/video/cZnBNuqqz5g/w-d-xo.html It's the audience waiting for a Green Day concert to start and they ALL sang along when Bohemian Rhapsody came on over the concert speakers!
Some others have mentioned the version of this performed at the Rock In Rio Festival, which is AMAZING: The audience was THREE TIMES the size of Wembley and they didn't speak English... They serenaded Freddie (it was really loud!) and chanted Brian's name. HERE'S AN HD LINK: th-cam.com/video/N_jkmlmnse8/w-d-xo.html
I was one of that crowd at that time in Wembley 1986. I was a massive follower of Queen since 1972 and went to their live gigs on every tour . I am so grateful to have seen them perform and be part of it . Very nostalgic and emotional to see that again !
THANK YOU! I love how you immediately acknowledge Brian on the 12-string - few reactors notice or appreciate that -- and I also kind of love when Brian reaches over and just swings the vocal mike away - b/c he knows he's not going to have to sing any back-up (lol) -- as always, Freddie's crowd control is amazing.. and yet... just when it seems like we're not getting "our money's worth" on the vocals, he steps back in and stuns and soothes us all -- I really look forward to your reactions -- Regards from Wisconsin, USA
Gorgeous! I often think that Queen was and still is a band of wizards! Their music has an eternally medicinal and magical effect on the audience and the soul! Queen was way ahead of their time! Audience participation started in the '70s when Brian wrote "We will rock you" with that exact purpose in mind. Brian sings "Love of my life" solo in honor of Freddie and enthusiastically encourages the crowd to sing along "do you want to sing? Let's sing this for Freddie, ok". He'd say "don't be shy" and also encourage everyone to get out their iPhone lights reminiscent of back in the day when people held lighters. Near the end, a video of Freddie from this concert appears on a screen and sings the last part. Often, Brian would be seen wiping away a tear afterward in honor of his friend and brother in arms and probably so touched that people still go totally nuts for Queen.
I seen queen in 1986.. freddie had the audience in his hands..unbelievable I will never forget it..we sang along with all rhe songs..god bless you freddie mercury and keep rocking..

Freddie Mercury. The greatest ever showman. Sing on wherever you are Freddie.
understatement, one of the greatest- songwriter, song composer and singer also
BroAction, still many Queen songs to cover, so many jems! Also Freddie his solo work is so great, In my defence for example!

I love u ❤️ Freddie.
Greatest front man in the history of rock and roll!
This song in Rock In Rio 1985 is even more beautiful. Freddie lets the audience sing most of the time. You should check!
I totally agree with you. Nothing compares to the Rock in Rio 85 version.
COMPLETELY AGREE.
250,000 fans (who did NOT speak English!) ...serenading Freddie and CHANTING Brian's name.
Absolutely agree. That’s something to behold!
Really amazing - even Freddie looks overwhelmed 🥺
You're right, is very beautiful!
This performance was so memorable to the band that they put on the movie.

Top 3 ???, I think top 1.
Now that's how to perform a song you believe in!! Freddie will live forever!! Your right, there are no words, you just enjoy.
Thank you for finally getting back to Queen. This same song, from Rock in Rio, 250,000 in attendance sing the song to Freddy.
