Worth pointing out that The Master isn't as smart as he thinks. He's the one who tells you about his "incredible intellectual abilities". A lot of players make that mistake and don't realize that The Master is an unreliable narrator of his own story. In my playthrough I demonstrated to him that his experiment was a failure, that the super mutants were sterile. He then realized how crazy he had become and video gamed himself. He wasn't a "super intellect"; he was experiencing megalomania and psychosis that made him THINK he was incredibly smart.
The master does have access to almost all prewar knowledge since he's become part of Mariposa and is a fairly powerful psyker. I think he's the only psyker shown throughout fallout that isn't either debilitated by his power or need extras like chems to power them up, in fact his intellect is so high that the unity have to wear protection against him or be overwhelmed and effectively mind wiped if not outright killed. The only major psychic power the master doesn't seem to actually have is precognition but it would be reasonable for him to think that his dream for unity was foresight since every other psyker has some precognition and up until the vault dweller walked in he had been right about almost everything as far as he knew. You have to remember that he figured out FEV whilst turning into a puddle on the floor and not only did he learn it, he pretty much perfected it being able to get super mutants almost every time, super mutants that don't really need to reproduce if he achieved unity because super mutants are functionally immortal, as they age they just get bigger until they become behemoths. He wasn't an intellectual slouch pre mutation either, he was a wasteland doctor and if Harold is to be believed (and I don't see a reason not to) one of the smartest people in the wasteland. Moreau's biggest flaw wasn't that he wasn't intelligent, it was that he was too intelligent for his own good. When you disprove him you set him over to despair but given time it's perfectly possible and probably likely that he could reverse mutations since Virgil is able to do so and there's no way you could compare any individual institute member to the master, he out thinks them in every way.

You know... That thumbnail made something occur to me. The brotherhood really should have been the villains of fallout 3. Think about it. Their ideology is specifically anti mutant. Even non-feral ghouls. They just gun them down. But the enclave, for all their many, many, many flaws, weren't anti mutant. I mean they shreked Frank Horrigan, specifically to make him a better killing machine. They were exposed to radiation massively out at the rig. And were actively experimenting with FEV to use it on themselves. They were monsters, sure. But why would they want to secretly genocide a large portion of Washington state. They were mutated themselves. They wanted control, and wanting the purifier, sure. That's logical. That's a great bargaining chip to exert political soft power. But they'd gain nothing from it being tainted. They'd only be weakening it's potential as a bargaining chip. Now the brotherhood. Them poisoning the purifier. That makes sense. "Normal" people can still use it. But anyone mutated getting sick or dying off, that's entirely within their logic. Even within Bethesda Lore. They doomed Rivet city to rip its reactor for The Prydwen. They are more than capable of relying on military strength or savagery to achieve their goals. And they despise mutants. Basically every interaction with the Enclave in F3 could have been named swapped to the brotherhood. And it would have actually improved the story. The "evil" choice of siding with the brotherhood in those circumstances also wouldn't be so clear cut and direct. Like yea, you'd be committing a genocide. Those are bad, you shouldn't do those. But have you seen it out there? Genetic monstrosities roam the land and prey on the people. Sure a lot of people would die. But how many more in the long run are gonna be kidnapped by super mutants. how many more are gonna be devoured alive by giant ants? You'd be doing something monstrous. But how many more would live because of your actions? How many more lives could grow up in relative safety. Due to you flipping a switch? You could argue either action is monstrous. Each condemns hundreds to death. Thousands maybe. Either passively, allowing the wasteland to continue preying on the weak, the helpless for the benefit of the brutal the cunning. Or actively, by sabotaging Project purity. You would condemn thousands to potentially save countless more. And that's a far more interesting choice.

I'm going to say this. I would've liked Fallout 3's plot a lot better if we had the choice to join the Brotherhood of Steel, have our own "Yes Man" style of nuking everyone so to speak, joining "President" Eden, or siding with Colonel Autumn and aiding him in his goals, which would lead to him being the next President and you being his right hand man. Even though Autumn opposed Eden, he wasn't written in an way that I would've believed he wanted to be altruistic. I saw him as an arrogant jerk that was more than willing to murder anyone that got in his way. He didn't attempt to negotiate with us and form a treaty. Everything was "Do it my way or die". It would've been better to have actually seen the dichotomy between Autumn and Eden play out and for you to help decide whom leads the Enclave. Could've been an interesting plot point to either "retake the purifier" from the Enclave or to "defend the purifier" from the Brotherhood and either destroy or take control of Liberty Prime.
If you include House and Caesar, you should also include Kimball or one of his generals in the Mojave. Including Ulyssis means that few dozen other DLC main antagonists like Salt Upon Wounds and Elija should also be included
I don't think there is such a thing as an actual evil in Elder Scrolls except for the first villain of the first game The Daggerfall villain was doing more politics if anything Morrowind was betrayed and doing what he had to do for what HE thought it would be better for his people Oblivion villain was really just trying to end the power imbalance of the world being basically taken by the Septim empire And Skyrim antagonist really was trying to break himself out of the prophecy by taking the world instead of eating it They were bad, yes, but they were doing what they believed it was necessary for their own ideas
No. But he’s part of the steel dawn add-on and the only character that I included from any DLC or add-ons was Ulysses. I’ll cover the rest in future videos. 🫡

That’s definitely more of a Fallout tv show thing. We focused on individual characters within the games and I can’t think of a vault tech antagonist from the games.
The Railroad are good guys too. Though, honestly, everyone in Fallout 4 is a borderline psychopath since no matter which route you choose, it ends up with them deciding detonating more nuclear devices in the middle of Boston is a good idea. Funny enough, in my first playthrough, I was going to choose the Brotherhood, but then they told me their grand plan was to get a bunch of nukes and fire them at the Institute, and murder the Railroad. So I chose the Railroad instead, and, shocked Pikachu face, they told me *their* grand plan was to detonate the nuclear reactor inside the Institute to destroy it. The Minutemen somehow through the power of lazy writing end up with an almost identical plan. Ironically, the Institute are the only ones not choosing to nuke anyone, though they're just garden variety sociopaths with little to no interest in helping anyone on the surface.

Master was baffled about his super mutants being sterile. But there was no female super mutant. Even if they weren't sterile, what was his plan?
it’s just not represented visually ingame, but they do retain their original internal and external organs. they’re just infertile.
