Rush has talked about this a number of times, most recently in the past couple months. The EMI group took EIB to court and demanded he stop using it. Chirssy hear about this and told them he could use it, and then EMI negotiated a royalty arrangement with El Rushbo and all parties were satisfied. I think she got a lot more than she would have had EMI prevailed.
The way Rush explained it one day not too long ago, and kinda out of the blue, was how as a very liberal person, she experienced a lot of heat for allowing her song to be used by such a hated person on the left, and she basically said I don't listen to him nor probably agree with him in any way but im not going to judge or censor him because of his beliefs and besides my father was a big fan of him and I don't hate him for his beliefs either. Thats what I call a original or true liberal, the ones that used to say long long ago, when it came to free speech: I dont agree with you but I would die fighting for your right to say it. Compare that with the modern version, especially on college campuses. She is a class act.
