That turned out 10x better than I expected from a rattle can..
Yeah that's what's happening these days with spray paint in a can. They make it really potientent that it does come out with professional looking looks and performance almost matched with a air compressor performance.
@@danbasta3677 In 1992 I spray painted the roof of a black car that I bought to flip as the clear coat came off,the paint then looked factory and sprayed perfect and it was black,hardest color to paint to perfection..
Now,how long it lasts usually not long after all spray paint is not automotive paint,but it fooled the people who looked at it and bought it. Spray paint always could have been done to look good,even in the early 90's and before that as well...But nothing beats a spray gun and real paint/set up...But better than faded beater look called patina today lol.
Prep is the most important thing. Also rust oleum is excellent. If your not experienced with spraying a can just do many thin coats. Especially the first few coats
Looks good for rattle can. I knew a guy once that had a Malibu and he painted it with a foam roller and it didn't look bad.

This is absolutely incredible! The tape line with the clear coat would have saved me years of heartbreak with all of the times I've tried to meet two colors. Never ever thought about doing that.
hes the old school era of the autobody shops when shops were shops not like todays bodyshops cut corners and out the door this man is the last of the dieing bred

I will admit I was a bit skeptical about the white roof, but it looks great! I love the idea of doing the surround white as well as the grille, it really pops. Nice job! I am really looking forward to more of this awesome truck. Watch out or U-Haul may steal it lol!
Orange and white is one of Chevy's greatest color combos - Hugger Orange with Ermine White on a '69 Camaro for example.
That's an original color scheme.

Mister weird beard you are a renaissance man you are the only person I know that could take a $7 can of spray paint Rust-Oleum which is good quality you're absolutely right for a single stage paint it's wonderful I painted many things with it myself but never in the spray cans yes sir but you are a renaissance man sir you are amazing at what you do and you are total enjoyment I love your programs I wish your daughter would come back but oh well alright mr. Back in the early 70's I painted my Dodge Van with spray cans ... 12 cans, looked good (at night), couldn't move my finger for a week after 😂

very nice i once painted my 82 toyota lift back with 10 cans of bright red. that was the original color of the car i was so lucky to find it in spray cans. after painting the car i water sand it and
compound polish it looked awesome people didn't believe me that it was done by spray. your truck looks awesome with the two tone
Mr Beard that thing turned out nice with rattle cans takes me Back to the med. 70s i worked in a factory we made lots of rattle cans many colors i use to paint all kinds of projects had tons of fun i was around 26 years old like your channel thanks for your time.
theres a lot more to a good paint job than how it looks right after you paint it. Durability, polishability, to name a few

I just painted my 65 f100 with the rustoleum oil based paint that comes in the quarts and gallons. Did a two tone Gray and Blue. I didnt want to spend a ton of money on a paint job because I didnt want to worry about scratching and dinging the paint, and wit this its a quick fix. I used hardener and a harbor freight paint gun. It came out nice and I am happy about it.

I did my 1966 GMC longbed stepside in Black, with Gold, Paint Bombs. She really looked good. I called it Truckbone. I miss that Truck.

Looks good. When I was a kid my neighbor painted his car with cans of spray paint. It didn't turn out nearly this nice, but some of his issues might have been he painted it in his dirt driveway.

Wonder if you could go back over this with some decent quality clear to protect it. Spray can paint tends to fade fast. Looks nice Mike.

That is absolutely unreal how good that paint job turned out with just a spray can. But then your the master. I would have made a mess. I did learn the trick of layering with a rattle can. Magnificent job

Looks amazing. This is the way commercial trucks were done all day long. There were professional painters that even used a brush. Then afterwards you would would think it was the best spray shop ever.
A white truck would roll in. And a company colour truck with door lettering would roll out. Done with rollers, brushes and all single stage colours. All lettering by hand free style.

It is simply amazing how nice a job you can do with rattle cans if you are patient and do all the prep work the right way (and you know little tricks like what you did to the edges with the clear coat). Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill. I have a 5x9 trailer and two older cars I'm going to do myself (my first attempts at painting vehicles) and it looks like a lot of fun, and a bit of work too, but that's okay, I'm looking forward to it. Looks good for a simple rattlecan paint. As i normally say it doesn't need to be expensive to look good :)
