    Nice Video... People forget, many folks are not professional videographer and are taking time to post video to share .... I appreciate you sharing since im thinking of buying a starter bike like this to learn

      Thanks for your reply, I just bought another bike, a 2021 Goldwing, but I still love my Honda nighthawk 250. Shortly after this video, I found a little gem. A 1992 cb250 with only 1300 miles. I put an additional 3500 miles in the last year, including mild off roading, added some Bridgestone battlelax tires and it does surprisingly well. The Honda 250 engine is really a great engine, minimal maintenance needed, and oil changes can’t be any cheaper. I use Walmart conventional 10w 30, oil and their is no filter to change. Approximately $4.00 oil changes every 2-3k miles . It really is a great starter bike. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Hope you find a great first bike, and when you do ride safe 👍🏻

      Sorry for the delayed response, it’s funny, I bought this bike as my camping bike, wife didn’t understand why I wanted this bike, but find ourselves taking this bike out way more than my other bikes. She hated my Harley-Davidson Nightrod special (way too hot) we traded that bike for my 2019 z900rs (love that bike also) But this bike is just relaxed, and runs so cool you really can’t feel any engine heat.

    yes! the real question is HOW much fun can you have? IMO a lot as long as you just ride for the sake of riding and don't want to do anything crazy, it gets the job done

    Subbed. But please no more music and video effects. I’d rather hear the wind and the engine. Also consider getting an in helmet microphone if you really want to have good voice audio.

      sorry for the delayed response. I agree, I’m learning this TH-cam. (It’s much harder than I thought lol) I did purchase the media mod for my GoPro so I can plug in a microphone. Just haven’t had any time to try another video. But I enjoy riding, so I will keep trying to improve my videos. Thanks for the feedback.

      I picked up another older one in amazing condition (1992) with 1400 miles on it for $1,050. Put 5500 miles on it and runs better than when I bought it. Love these bikes, they don’t make them like this anymore.

    • @twowheelingtodd4973
      @twowheelingtodd4973  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gordon Travis , sorry for the delayed response, yes, I got this bike for $800.00, It was a motorcycle school bike in her early years, so she was dropped a few times. I used bondo to take out the dents (lots of sanding) primer with a little overspray of flat black helped to see defects when I was nearing my finished product. Helps with areas to sand. I use 400 grit to with primer. Then 3 light coats of spray paint paint and one last wet heavy coat. The duplicolor perfect match is great paint, you can wet sand and buff in less than 1 hour, but safer to wait a few hours. Wet sanding I use 1000 grit, with soapy water and finish with 1200 grit. Sanding the orange peel until you don’t see any shiny spots on the paint. To get the shine, I use a high speed orbital buffer with a finishing pad (it truly is dummy proof) and you will get professional results , you really can’t burn the paint. Well maybe if you try, but you would really have to try lol. meguiars ultimate compound is truly magic. Love that stuff. Hopefully this helps. I wish I recorded it.

      Sorry for the delayed response, I own another one of these, and took it on multiple highway rides, across alligator ally from Fort LAUDERDALE fl to Fort Myers Beach. It’s a little nerve wracking because average is 90mph and some pass well over 100 mph. This little guy is happiest under 65 mph though she will go 80 mph.

      Yes, this is a perfect choice for 5’2”. It’s really low to the ground, very light, and if you can find one with original exhaust, it’s nice and quiet. I’ve owned 2 of these bikes, and taught a few friends how to ride on them . I have a 2021 goldwing, but still love this little bike.

      @Tonyv1951 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@twowheelingtodd4973 You certainly DO run her hard. I have one of these and you treat it like shit. You were driving that engine full throttle all the way. I even wonder if you are still alive... I do hope so, but I have my doubts. The way you were under taking those cars on the highway and wandering from lane to lane is just asking for some inattentive driver to knock you off onto the road. Scraping along the highway at 60 - 70 miles an hour is harsh. I hope you never get to try it. The human body does VERY VERY badly under such circumstances. Trust me - I have scarped up the results - especially when you are wearing no protective clothing - bare hands and arms??? FFk sake man. Have a care. Great paint job by the way. REALLY well done there.
      The CB250 Nighthawk is a great little bike and treated nicely, they will do 100,000 miles, but they must have oil changes every thousand miles to do that.

    Why do Americans insist on not wearing gloves at least

    • @twowheelingtodd4973
      @twowheelingtodd4973  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do wear a helmet whenever I ride, never gave much thought on gloves. Started wearing gloves after my Goldwing post when someone showed their hands after not wearing. It’s not because I don’t care about safety, I wear a riding jacket if I’m out in highway, and always a helmet. I live in muggy south Florida, sweaty 🥵 gloves felt like overkill.

    • @tommears7321
      @tommears7321 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@twowheelingtodd4973 as least you wear a helmet. Loads of Americans say stupid things like "if I come off at 70mph I'd be dead anyway so might as well not wear a helmet" . Gloves,helmet,boots and a proper riding jacket/armoured trousers will massively reduce damage. I came off at 60mph rear tyre puncture sent me sliding across the road under the bike and I wrecked my gear and few scrapes but that's it. Damn glad I had gloves on that day

      Thank good you were able to walkaway from that. I had an accident at 40 mph when I was 15. multiple surgeries, almost lost my ankle, stayed away from riding for years. But Life is short, and I really love riding, just got back riding about 5 years ago after a 24 year break. Next week I’m riding 3000 miles across the southeast United States 🇺🇸. I will post videos from this ride when I get back, Ride safe my friend.
