    I personally enjoy the functionality of a rear fender, very nice build though! Some perf spark plugs, air filter, and carb up-jet make it a very worthy bike. Oh and dont forget to swap those sprockets to a 15t/30t, makes a world of diff!

    Great Video. I have been working on the same bike and love what you did with the frame and seat. Where did you make your bend cuts on the frame to bend them at the right angles to match the seat? Do you have the exact measurements?

    • @JosiahCMaatStudios
      @JosiahCMaatStudios  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RS1 Thanks for the feedback! I actually did not go about cutting the frame in a very professional or even safe way haha. I started by putting the seat on the frame to see where the seat started to curve inwards. I made the first cut right behind the lower handlebars on each side of the frame and then made another cut on each side depending on how much further the frame needed to curve inwards. I believe I made a total of 8 cuts, 4 on each side, about 1” spaced apart. Honestly, your best bet is just to go for it. You have to plan, measure, and commit fully. Best of luck to you!

      @kevinsbeardandbrewchannel150 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep plan and dive right in. I chickened out. My plan was to do exactly what he did but I just freaked out a little and so I just did some really minor mods, but kept it mostly stock.

    • @JosiahCMaatStudios

      Liz Pedroza it was through a plethora of places. The seat was from eBay, the lights are from Amazon, and everything else was from my local Lowe’s or motorcycle parts store

      @@JosiahCMaatStudios I feel like an idiot but when looking for the seat is there a specific kind that I'm supposed to be looking for sorry this is my first bike

    • @JosiahCMaatStudios
      @JosiahCMaatStudios  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Liz Pedroza don’t call yourself that brother, there’s nothing wrong with seeking information! The seat is called a 2into1 Vallejo Seat. This is the only seat that fit the curve of my motorcycle frame (the frame under the seat is kind of like a banana bending upwards). As far as for your bike, you’ll have to do some research as to what will best fit. The seat I mentioned was the only one I could find that fit the 250 cc NightHawk. Hope this helps!

    What did you do to the back end and can it ride two people with that style ?

    • @JosiahCMaatStudios
      @JosiahCMaatStudios  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Danny Perez
      The back end of the frame was just 2 independent pipes shooting straight backwards. I cut 5 small incisions on the inside of those and bent them inward to form a “hoop”. I essentially just bent the end of the frame inwards to be the shape of the new seat. You can see at 5:15 I start measuring where I want the cuts to be on both sides, make the cuts, then I beat the crap out of it with a mallet to bend it to shape. And you can ride 2 people but they have to hold on very tight.
