I recently decided to start riding again after a 25 yr absence from 2 wheelers. I'm not a "biker" by any means...I just enjoy riding. I'm not after thrills and chills, I like to ride comfortably around town and on the back country farm roads here in NC. I bought a '07 Nighthawk and love it. As easy to handle as a large moped, speeds in excess of 60 mph. "re-learning" my muscle memory and riding skills on this lil 250 has been a sheer pleasure. Way more comfortable than the rebel and much more nimble. These bikes are practically un-killable. You can ride with the throttle wide open at 65-70 for hours and the little twin will be happy as a clam. I will upgrade to a 650-750 next year, but I wont sell this beauty. It is just too much fun.
I have one of these bikes, but I need to get a battery and a seat for it, and maybe re wire the lights, been sittin around and rats chewed on it a bit, the rats are the reason I need a new seat actually. (bought it used for really low, I try not to neglect my things)
I found someone selling a 2008 Nighthawk 250 for $2,200... looks in great condition. It has 10k miles and Clean title and all. should I buy or no? I’m looking for a beginner bike :/ I don’t make a lot of money but willing to spend this much if it’s worth it
manuel galo They have the same engine, but the Rebel is in the cruiser class whereas the Nighthawk is a standard. The Rebel has a front disk brake, Nighthawk has a front drum. The Nighthawk has a higher top speed than the Rebel.

The first motorcycle I ever rode, it's a nice little beast.
Yeah! Today I've just sold my Nighthawk 250. It was my first and favourite bike ever!
That's the school I flunked out of!

Would this bike be OK on a 60 mile trip on a highway with a speed limit of 55?
Definitely. I once did about 100 miles at 70 mph.
My girlfriend just got her license and I'm about to buy her a 97 Nighthawk that's in great shape with just a little over 8k on it
I can't believe the sound of that engine, I also owned a 250 (Yamaha Exciter) but it sounded NOTHING like this.
Probably because yours was a single cylinder, whereas the Nighthawk is a parallel twin.
Yeah but the Honda sounds like a 4 cylinder bike, I can't believe the rumble
Probably because it's NOT a Honda!=)
How many miles for gallon you on a full tank
manuel galo if you go easy, you should get around 70 mpg or more.
what year is your bike ?
This was a 2001.
An example of everything you should not do on a motorcycle.
Fernando Revilla Care to elaborate? I'm always open to tips.
Jacob Trcalek that guy has never even rode a motorcycle! Enjoy the ride and it's fun to hooligan once in a while lol
