In this weeks video we try to reignite the creative spark for photography. January can be a difficult month for photography and creating once Christmas and New Year have passed. Short days and unfavourable weather can impact your creativity and definitely led me to feel unmotivated to go out with the camera. Trying something different at the coast with ICM and having an open mind to images I wouldn’t have necessarily have thought about taking before re sparked my enthusiasm. Lovely video ladies! What a quaint little seaside town that is! I know what you mean about low motivation after the holidays. The photography conditions here are terrible at the moment. Beautiful ICMs, very much like a painters brush strokes. Love the shots of the buildings and sea wall. Beautiful tones in that long exposure at 10:52! No better way to beat the winter blues than to just get out there! Always a pleasure to watch! Hope you both are doing well! Have a wonderful weekend!
Hey Paul, yeah we have a lot of quaint little harbours up this end. It’s a great place as it has the harbour but further round are the rocky shores. We’ve had some beautiful conditions with snow & ice but it’s made it lethal for trying to get out. The day we had free was overcast and a little miserable but turned out to be a nice relaxing day of photography. Certainly know how you were feeling, I have lost my photo mojo, but there is nothing like a bit of ICM for inspiration, I do a lot of ICM, I just need to pick up that camera and get out. Fantastic video and some really nice images, difficult to pick but I like the images at 12.03 and 12.29
Hi John, yeah this time of year I think is very difficult. Short days with miserable weather can be very demotivating. We had some free time & wanted to get out but didn’t have many expectations. The ICM definitely helped to create something a little different t and give me a spark again. Thanks for taking the time to watch and say hello. Hope you get your mojo back soon.
