The reason “Rome” has so many google searches… is because people are looking for insights into how great empires ultimately fall, and making comparisons to today’s society/societies.

I was waiting to get into the collisium when a young man struck up a conversation. We talked, then toured together and stayed together for the day. He was having relationship problems so I volunteered to do hypnosis to help him get to bottom of issues. He was reluctant, but evenually, need overcame fear. He was successful in understanding a lot about where issues were coming from. It felt very familiar and couldn't help but feel this was a rerun in time. Dont recall his name or details. Not important. Just satisfaction of a brief encounter in a special setting.

I believe the reason why Ancient Rome is so fascinating to so many is because children aren’t taught about Rome in the first place. Ancient Rome underpins the very foundation of western society and yet children are not taught why and how it fell nor the magnitude of how upholding this knowledge contributes to modern day society. If this were so then perhaps the west would not be at the precipice of collapse today.

The Catholic Church is not only in the Church of Rome it’s also with Jerusalem, Alexandria, Constantinople and Antioquía the church is call the Holy Catholic apostolic Orthodox Church but Rome in 1054 split from the orthodox tradición and they call the Church of Rome as the only one with the truth and it is not like that because of the Church of Rome mistakes the Protestant churches came , I never see channels taking about this or mention the real Catholic Church the Catholic Orthodox faith .

The belief in Messianic Christianity is he was born and crucified on Passover and risen in the Feast of First fruits.
I'm not sure what you mean by "edited" over the numerous councils but if you're talking about the Gospels we have copies of scriptures dating back to the 1st century that show they are the same as we have today.

People really need to understand basic macro economics to get the interplay of debt, inflation/recession, trade, exchange rates, value of currency, etc.

Fun recommendations for viewers of this podcast-JMT.
Lindsey Davis has a whole series of mystery novels set in ancient Rome, featuring wise-guy detective Marcus Didius Falco who works not only works for Vespasian but is a private detective as well. Funny, great descriptions of everyday life in Rome act as the backdrop for his gumshoe activities. On a more intellectual note, Steven Saylor's Roma Sub Rosa historical novel series (also about a detective) known as ' Gordianus the Finder' interacts with historical characters like Caesar and Pompey as he uncovers dirt in the catacombs.

There are those who would say the the mentioning of Jesus by Flavius Josephus is pious interpolation, because it only seem to occur in texts after the year 300 CE.

Just an addition to your wonderful content: today's s Italy has 42 dialects, people use the dialects in daily life, but the official language is Italian, basically they know 2 languages. The dialect spoken in Sardigna is totally another language.
