But you will find that the peace that you realize is there for you is more than enough.. Be courageous and really follow Jesus. if you can do so within your church great but if not, follow your heart.

I saw the potholes from the start - and I am older than you. What confuses me is how this is not noticed from scratch? Even my mother, who was born in 1919 also saw some potholes. Throughout my many years of religious study I have been dismayed by the self serving arrogance of so many. To me all true worshipers of God means humility, kindness, love and poverty. I do not mean poverty in the sense that we must give up all our EARNED prosperity but when we bow to God it must be done in complete humility without to feeling and display of vanity in any form!
God put on my heart several years ago that his word had been changed. So I started doing the research and trsnslating. I'm glad your speaking out about this!
From what I was taught in Lutheran school growing up, it was not that God created humans imperfectly, but that He created Adam and Eve perfectly and then gave them free will so that they could choose good or evil. Then when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God's command not to eat the fruit of the tree in the center of the garden, their sin somehow was transferred into the rest of humanity and corrupted it. So now religion teaches that the rest of us are born headed for hell and in need of saving. That's how religious people make the imperfection of humanity not God's fault or responsibity. All God did was sit back and watch the first humans fail the test He had set up. Why set up your creation with the possible outcome of your children making choices that damn them for all eternity ? That's the question I wish more Christians would ask themselves.
God doesn’t tell you how to live. He shows you how to live. He doesn’t want to force you to love him, he wants you to willingly love him with your whole heart, soul, and mind. Jesus hates death so much that he our lord the Shepard put himself to redeem us & destroy death. “for the believer, death will not have the last word.”

Throughout my many years of religious study I have been dismayed by the self serving arrogance of so many. To me all true worshipers of God means humility, kindness, love and poverty. I do not mean poverty in the sense that we must give up all our EARNED prosperity but when we bow to God it must be done in complete humility without to feeling and display of vanity in any form!
God put on my heart several years ago that his word had been changed. So I started doing the research and trsnslating. I'm glad your speaking out about this!
From what I was taught in Lutheran school growing up, it was not that God created humans imperfectly, but that He created Adam and Eve perfectly and then gave them free will so that they could choose good or evil. Then when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God's command not to eat the fruit of the tree in the center of the garden, their sin somehow was transferred into the rest of humanity and corrupted it. So now religion teaches that the rest of us are born headed for hell and in need of saving. That's how religious people make the imperfection of humanity not God's fault or responsibity. All God did was sit back and watch the first humans fail the test He had set up. Why set up your creation with the possible outcome of your children making choices that damn them for all eternity ? That's the question I wish more Christians would ask themselves.

One of your greatest shows ever! So much truth. After forty years of being a Christian I turned away from organized religion. After researching the history of Christianity and all the blood shed to force it on the population I realized religion is a man made construct for control and power. I have been a spiritual Pagan for the last couple years and am much happier. Much more in touch with the spiritual nature of all things and closer to God the loving creator as I believe that relationship should truly be. Directly connected to source with no need of a middle man.
