Caribou could literally be the most useful devil fruit when paired up with luffy, considering if he stored enough food he could just keep Luffy constantly energised... and he could also carry cola for Franky!

this is exactly what will happen, since we saw that one chapter where he was anxious to inform a "certain person" about the info he overheard about pluton
I feel like Caribou's cover story was a bit of a redemption arc for him as he, a bit accidentally, led an entire island to throw off the yoke of Kaido and his factory. He came to actually kind of care for people and seemed to be turning away from the psychopath we first saw on Saobady. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up, at least, part of The Strawhat Grand Fleet.

That's why he wasn't at Sunny reveal and went to hide at his place to fight that temptation. And all jewel twisting was just a cover provided by ROBIN who understood him because she is also former enemy. I think you should focus on Pokemon instead trying to understand anything in One Piece.

As someone who’s just entered thriller bark, I’m looking forward to this
What makes it more interesting is when you consider that through most of the Straw Hats time in the New World, half the crew was absent through various arcs, so that point works in Caribou's favor as well. For example Nami, Sanji, Chopper and Brook were absent during the latter half of Dressrosa, while Zoro, Usopp, Franky, and Robin were absent during Whole Cake island. Plus if Caribou is a crew member, that would've happened before Jinbei joined in Wano so he can still be considered as the iconic final crew member. Heck for all we know the "certain someone" Caribou was referring to could've just been Luffy himself.

Caribou could be a very fast and easy means of giving Buggy and friends a means of being part of the race for the One Piece. He fits in with that crew too well for me to discount it.

After seeing this, I am going to make a prediction. Caribou will leave the Straw Hat crew and attempt to join Blackbeard. Mainly because he will see Blackbeard as the stronger force and attempt to be on the winning side. As proof of his "loyalty" to Blackbeard he will share everything he learned while he was with the Straw Hat crew. Maybe Blackbeard will learn Luffy's dream and attempt to crush Luffy's dream in order to break Luffy's spirit.

This video is why we need One Piece Analysis. I would have never picked up the fact that Caribou was a Swamp Nakama. The 11th member of the crew. He's the Letter Y of the crew. Sometimes a crewmate and sometimes not. I also appreciate the production quality in the video. I know where you stand in the Mr. Morj vs O'Hara debate. I like Mr. Morj more than O'hara (I also remember when he had more subscribers) but this video is very entertaining and informative. Thank you so much for being yourself. You earned all of your subscribers. I hope you keep making videos even after One Piece is over. Cue Luffy's execution in Loguetown with all of the TH-camrs in the audience crying on the day of the final chapter. Each one ready to make a name for themselves now that Oda's era is over.
there are many roles associated with the crew of a pirate ships in old stories, and the stowaway is one that appears in a lot of those stories, if we take all the current members they fill up most of these roles except the stowaway, but with Caribou you get the complete ensemble. as such it makes just sens to have someone like Caribou as part of the crew. it might be a long shot in some peoples eyes but i could see this being oda's plan and i would honestly be onboard with it.
Caribou is like Gollum from Lord of the Rings. He is part ally, part enemy and plays a major role in the climax of the story.

At this time the Strawhats have two Paramecia, Robin and Brook, and two Zoan, Luffy and Chopper, but not even one Logia aside from Oda’s statement that Nami’s ideal Devil Fruit is Enel’s Logia the Goro Goro no Mi
What’s more the fact that Caribou’s Logia is specifically the Numa Numa no Mi actually gives him a legitimate role on the ship: Storage/Cargo Management, as another commentator mentioned
We know for a fact that he can safely store not just objects but straight up people inside his body through the use of his Devil Fruit which coupled with the fact it’s not an inherently destructive force like magma gives it a considerable level of utility

For the thousandth time: Caribou does NOT know Luffy's dream. In the chapter Luffy reveals his dream to his crew, Oda makes a point of showing Caribou inside the barrel complaining about how he can't listen to anything inside - and that is when Franky is literally shouting besides him. I don't believe Oda would include that for nothing in the chapter. He wanted us to know that Caribou doesn't know what Luffy's dream is - only his crew and Yamato know it.
He literally talks about the possibility of him not knowing it in the video. But he also says Caribou was too close to Luffy at the moment he talked about his dream. So who knows.
@@nathanj3528 somebody in the comments theorized Caribou might have misheard what Luffy said - to comical effect. I believe such is the case, since the barrel does appear in the very same panel Luffy is lying down after he says what his dream is. But Caribou pointing out he couldn't hear a thing inside the barrel is too much of a clue to completely ignore.

I've been trying to convince my friends of this since Caribou first appeared in Wano. And you've somehow read my mind on most of these points.
I don't want Caribou as part of the crew but I want other people outside the crew to think he is part of the crew. I just want crazy shenanigans.
I said he was the official SH logia user. the SHs have a streak of ridiculous power users. Luffys Nika fruit now, Chopper having the basic Human fruit, Robins flowering limbs powers and Brookes powers required him to die once to truly activate. So Caribou being the logia user makes sense. It took how long to finally get Jimbe on the crew??

It feels this is the trope for the new members in the New World. Joining the crew after a long time since the introduction of the character. We've seen this to Jimbei, there's a high possibility of this happening to Yamato.
Caribou reminds me of Buggy, he seems to be put in bad situations but gets the best info/rewards so to speak. Like how Buggy took out a huge loan from Sir Crocodile but ended up being 'in charge' of both him and Mihawk

Caribou can fill role of the straw hats quartermaster or powder monkey
Quartermaster: in charge of supplies, prevent fights on the ship, settling quarrels and issues among the crew, distribution of food and essentials, catalogue ships hull of cargo, kept records and account books for the ship.
Powder monkey: they ran ammo, food, medicine, gunpowder and other essentials to the crews members during battle (when Luffy was defeated the second time Caribou store plentiful amount of meat for Luffy so he can regain his strength)
Nami is already essentially the crew's quartermaster, nobody else is getting trusted with finances.

Keeping in line with the Straw Hat-Zodiac theory, I do believe Caribou's design and demeanor fits what would be the "Snake" category. Issue is that role seemingly belongs to Usopp so maybe he could be the "dog"? His perpetual hanging tongue and violently energetic nature could be compared to one but I still think he's more snake-like all around
While it's not my favorite idea, I honestly enjoy the concept of Caribou joining the crew, his dynamic with the members is already interesting given how he contrasts them and I think a more evil-minded character with such utility would be cool. The ONLY real argument against Caribou that I can think of is that I can't imagine what role he'd fulfill on the crew

To be fair zoro’s role was just that of “fighter” for a good bit, till oda finally decided he was second in command (first mate) so maybe caribou could take the now empty fighter position.
Caribou is the most infamous of crew positions: The Stowaway. The only crewmate position who picks you rather than the other way around.

merphy is rather enthusiastic and convinced me a bit as it makes way more sense then the people that wanted caesar to join(though that snazzy gastino fella's another story.) even if speaking of perverse he was basically before ending up in the barrel he was planning to do what he did to the mermaids/shirahoshi to nami(strangely would love a scene of nami getting his swamp mud on her/spooking her.) & nico robin in their rooms.(liked olimar's ship/mechagodzilla being in the egghead shot.)
that food moment is a rather big moment with him contributing to luffy beating kaido and does have a lot of knowledge that while i used to think he'd likely give that to blakcbeard/a surprise future appearance of shiki could also be a reason for him to stick with the strawhats helping them with it and having more funny moments as i legit found him funny in fishman island.
Fun fact: That barrel is precious to Luffy because that is his first ship, so basically Caribou is guarding Luffy's first treasure.

Even I who doesn't care that's she not on and don't really like her because she's not my type of character can see why others would want her. Being able to see value in things you personally don't like is a very important skill for understanding others point of view and growing your own.

Caribou is the tenth Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, the only one not revealed as such so far. Blackbeard sent him to Shabaody Archipelago initially to kill Luffy and his crew as Blackbeard acknowledged Luffy as a threat, but after realizing he wasn't strong enough to do so Caribou has instead taken on more of a spy/informant role for Blackbeard, which is who Caribou contacted at the end of the Wano arc about Pluton's location.
