Maybe Blackbeard's Logia DF element is an undiscovered particle like Foxy's "Noroma Photons", special particles that significantly slow down any object they touch for thirty seconds.
I really liked the one theory about the Gorosei being a part of Imu, but when I first read the chapter I thought that those shadows were like creatures that Imu created with a Devil Fruit of some sorts. I thought this because I thought that it would be cool if that Imu had the exact opposite Devil Fruit thsn Luffy had. A Nightmare Devil Fruit would be appropriate because Luffy's Devil Fruit is based around dreams.
Lily in just 2 chapters solidified herself as the most important female character in One Piece. Without her their would be no One Piece, story OR treasure. Lily has become the greatest foil to the World Government lasting Forever.
@@unknownincognito2425 i think it's kinda boring and shit writing but you do you i guess one piece fans would literally suck the shit out of oda's toilet if he called it chapter xxxx
I think Robin may have something to say about this by the end of the story. I think we're going to have Robin, Vivi, Shirahoshi, and Momo in a room trying to decipher the last secrets of the poneglyphs.
I thought the same thing. Alabasta is my favorite saga, even after all these years, and it does feel appropriate that Oda ties everything back to the beginning.
At this point i can't remember if it's just a rumour or it's comfirmed. But Alabasta should be the sort of second last saga. If it was written for just 5 years or so. To see he circle back to Alabasta means he is not lying about already had one piece ending in mind and not changing it for one bit.
Important addendum: do NOT mix the rice at any point while it’s simmering, because it becomes gloopy and hard. Take it off the heat when it’s done and let it cool down for a few minutes before fluffing it with a fork.
and the type of rice you use also has different ratios of water, brown rice for example might need more than jasmine rice which might need more than short grain sushi rice
I run with a 25% increase in water to rice weight ratio. Rinse rice several times until the water is mostly clear, wait an hour (helps soften the rice) then add water, start to simmer then reduce heat to the lowest setting. My usual is 200g rice to 250g water for two heads. Usually cook Japanese rice but works fine with basmati, Thai Fragrant, etc. But yeah, don't stir it while cooking, and use a wet tool to stir unless you want this stuff sticking to your chopsticks, spoon, etc.
My rice is great and I do mix it a bit when I add salt. I also, before adding the rice, let a little bit of chopped onion and garlic simmer for a bit, it adds a lot of taste to the overall recipe
Sabo is starting to become one of my favourite characters. He's been so influential in the story and has a lot of ties to characters with some really cool moments. Don't think anyone can call him an ace clone anymore. He tackles things with a more tactical mindset and seems almost more dependable than he was.
My theory on D, it’s not a clan or group of people it’s a chosen name that has something to do with supporting or honouring joy boy and his ideology. But because it’s been so many years the bearers of D have forgotten, so they just assume it’s a family name.
I agree, I don’t think Lili was a D until after the war and by claiming D she proclaimed her loyalty to JoyBoy and the ancient kingdom, which is why Imu got so upset. Meaning Oden could’ve easily been a D, we know he was waiting for JoyBoy’s return and maybe after finding the one piece he claimed his loyalty to those ideologies.
The giant that saved Robin had a D and since then ive thought that the loosing side decided to add a D just like the mugiwaras marked themselves with the x in alabasta.
@@cwj_721 I’m assuming there IS like a specific name or clan that the D represents, but like Oda had Ace say in this chapter, at the end of the day “..it’s just a name”. So yes D most likely means a specific name, but the meaning behind D and the message that gets sent to world when they see the D is more important
I was discussing this with a friend, and we reached the conclusion that it would be thematically appropiate for Im to be a traitor to the D clan. Considering how much relevance "Inherited will" has on the series, maybe Im was born as a member to the D clan, but decided to seek a different sort of freedom: one that allowed it to "break free" from the Will of D.
i think at this point it's official her/his name is imu, Im before taken as the translation from japan that sometime taken like that but word to word that could be translate as i + mu, and at this chapter where imu state themself in his/her speech it's mentioned mu which could come from void/dream so it's not make any sense if her/his name is only "im" but she/he state oneself as "mu"
Given the recent chapter that's what I've been thinking, heck I think Nico Robin is a secret member of D clan, so secretive that she doesn't even know, sadly that info probably died with her mother 😥
We have a likely immortal character with access to an island busting sky weapon but the theory of Imu op-op personality swapping into the body of someone who could control an ancient weapon seems a lot less popular than the all but confirmed immortality would suggest. Doflamingo pretty clearly linked both op-op operations to the "treasure of Maryjoa" and "true power". These fruit shenanigans also allow for Lili's personality to be imprisoned in a certain giant wandering elephant. They also set-up a very interesting future role for one Trafalgar D Water Law.
There is a legend about an elephant that come to mind with this theory of Lili being our large wandering pachyderm, one of the man who steals the elephants skin tricks the woman into marrying him then eventually she finds it and returns to being an elephant (thinking it being the reverse of the story, the frozen straw hat being the "skin" in this case). There is another about a reincarnation of Buddha (A red faced elephant with 6 tusks) and two wives but it would be quite a stretch with making it fit, but we know Oda and his love of religion and tying it into OP many times over.
My headcanon theory is that D stands for (not dawn) Dream and watching Imu or Mu using some sort of power, with all the silhouettes around, be it Gorosei or not, it seems like scenes from a Nightmare (completely contrasting with Dream). So, maybe we need the Sun to shine and take away the nightmares and people can dream freely (we can also day dream). After all, "people's dreams never end/die". It's also fumny how the shape of the letter D resembles a wide smile
That's what I've been thinking the D stands for, heck to me the will of D is actually Roger and Luffy's shared dream, the secret dream that only a few people know now.
So most of what I got from this chapter is that Lili was the only ruler from the 20 kingdoms who didn't want to participate in the sham that is the World Government and got killed for her "betrayal", but not before sending out that letter. Though I think she sent multiple letters, or at least 2. One to Alabasta, one to the Ancient Kingdom which led to the poneglyphs being made. For the time being I'm saying the Five Elders are simply vessels Imu bestowed a fraction of their power to in exchange for complete subservience, that power probably being the ability to control the devils themselves without needing the fruit as a conduit. Imu's ultimate form being some type of devil dragon would be pretty cool. Kaido is the dragon of the seas, Monkey D. Dragon is the dragon of the land, and Imu is the dragon of the skies overseeing everything below. Bonus points if it has some type of moon/lunar theme
Something that came to my mind was that Alabasta and the ancient kingdom could be the same kingdom. And Lili could have been torn between both sides of the war
I think we all are a bit to focused on one final villain. It seems more like Oda is setting up all sorts of different groups with different motivations that will come into a larger conflict.
For the haki thing with logias. Crocodile in Alabasta very specifically says he trained hard to MAKE himself turn into sand reflexively when he was hit by an attack, so that it would pass right through him. The fact that he took efforts to explain that very much implies that logia users do NOT automatically turn into their element when hit, they have to do it themselves.
idk this idea seems to have been thrown by the wayside since, im pretty sure sabo did it immediately after getting his fruit in the gladiator arena, but i could be wrong, it seems to be an inherent ability of logias, since blackbeard very clearly said his logia was different bc of not having said invulnerability
@@uuh4yj43 Sabo already knows haki. That alone could explain his ability to turn intangible at the correct time. As for Blackbeard... characters can easily be wrong about things. We don't actually know that the darkness logia can't become intangible, only that Blackbeard doesn't know how to become intangible with it. To further show how this could easily be the case, Luffy's flashback shows us that fruit users don't automatically know how to use their fruit, they must learn or at least understand it intuitively before they can actually utilize the fruit's power properly.
I've also realized that this gives Dragon and Luffy a reason to meet(officially) finally because one thing I've always wondered was how they would meet (if ever) because it is very clear that Luffy has no intention of looking for Dragon, and even though it does look like Dragon cares for Luffy he seems to be busy doing Revolutionary stuff most of the time. Now the Revolutionaries have a reason to seek out the Straw Hats, unless Sabo, Iva, and Dragon deem it's fine to only tell Dragon since he is also a D
Hi Liam! Is there any chance you could make a video to give a bit of a review of everything that happened at the Reverie? The story so far has been chopped up in many tiny pieces and disseminated across 100s of chapters. Also something similar about everything that's taking place on Egghead island would be useful.
I absolutely loved 1085 it was really well setup and written to show off Imu and the Gorosei. I'm starting to get excited on how exactly the story will progress. I like seeing villains killing characters we like it brings tension to the story, I would like to see that in real time and not a flashback though.
Honestly I hate when people say people NEED to die to make it a better story. Like it’s actually proven only narcissism provides that kind of comment. You’re not happy until you see them suffer worse than you?
@@robertfahrenwald9396I don't need people to die, I just need them to stop fake dying, which seems to be happening more but still hate fake out deaths
love the fact you took the time to help someone with cooking tips, only adjustment i would make is that you do NOT start at low temperature but at high temperature with the water only. the ratio you said i correct and once your water is boiling THEN reduce to very low heat and add your rice at the same time and then cover. once the water is all absorbed your rice is ready ( usually a little more than 15 minutes depending on quantity ). fluff with a fork and you are ready to serve
There is a misunderstanding. Cobra was attacked by the shadow arrow/devil's tail (probably by Imu) the first time. Then Sabo entered the room and attacked the 5 elders, believing he killed them but they transformed in the other 5 shadow figures (the minotaur/devil one, the big mouth one, the one with the "awakening/mythical cloud", the bird looking one and the big moustache Gorbaciov). So I don't think that they transforming is part of Imu's powers but them transforming to use the zoan's durability to tank Sabo's attack
I agree from what we’ve seen the Gorosei are their own people who follow Imu. They also act as the highest authority known to the World as no one not even higher ranking members of WG know about Imu. Shanks only met with the 5 Gorosei. Imu is not suppose to exist according to Cobra
I mean, it's just disappointing to think the Gorosei, who in theory should be THE biggest badasses this side of Kaido the Strongest Creature, are just straight-up Zoans. Hell, even if they're Mythical Zoans, then it's just Wano all over again, with every other Zoan being Mythical (Orochi, Gyukimaru/Onimaru, that teapot raccoon...)! I mean, yeah, they're gonna be actual deities, but still, you would think at least one Gorosei would have a busted Paramecia, right?!
@@Nightlingbolt Maybe a combination of both Zoan and Paramecia? Since it's "Mythical" much like Marco's phoenix form that has Logia element to his mythical zoan
@@Nightlingbolt the Revolutionaries having a "crow" DF that turned out to be a Logia should have people doubting they're all automatically Mythicals just because they're powerful or look like monsters.
This past year, I got one of my friends to start watching One Piece for the first time. They've been binging it since and they've finally made it to the Wano arc. My boy fell hard into the One Piece universe and I love it. I can't wait for him to fully catch up and start reading the manga. It is so hard to not say anything when so much is going on in modern One Piece.
However, after the events of the Whisky Peak Arc, Vivi and her pet Karoo ended up joining the Straw Hat Pirates for most of the Arabasta Saga once she was discovered to be a spy plotting against Baroque Works.
I think Imu’s ability is like gear 5 Luffy’s. He was able to create the shadow monsters in the same way Luffy’s toon force was able to affect his surroundings.
But when Luffy used his toon force its was an extension of his Zoan devil-fruit which we know(because of Doffy) when it is awakened can affect the users surroundings. If you mean that Imu's ability is also awakened then I see where you're coming from.
It feels like half of a chapter of the flashback, two pages of Sabo, Dragon, and Ivankov talking. Then we might go back to Egghead with two pages setting up another possible mystery, or cliffhanger. You know the ship with Saturn on it arriving on egghead, or the blackbeard ship docked. This is how I see the next chapter going.
I believe that based on how imu most definitely knew Lilly was a traitor, and probably suspected that she was a D. And still tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, and even seemingly was sad or disappointed when hearing she was a D might imply some connection. Maybe it was child-parent, romantic, friendly, or admiration, but I think imu had some connection with lily that was strong enough for imu to want to see lily in the best light possible. Maybe when imu looked at vivis picture they we’re reminded of memories of lily, and couldn’t bring themselves to tear it up.
Im convinced the shadow powers from Imu and The Elder Stars is something new, Oda love revealing a new power or concept every major arc. He takes the first bit to show it, the next bit to explain it, and the last bit for the Strawhats mostly Luffy to counter/learn it themselves to be on an even playing field. Its entirely possible it is a devil fruit power used by Imu but then how would Saint Garcia use it near Egghead/on it? If its not a new power its something devil fruit or haki related. Maybe manifesting your Haki into an image for others to cower to?
I still believe that shanks will be the last foe for luffy to overcome. Luffy's pirate journey started with shanks, it'll be poetic for it to end with shanks.
I think the smile at death is more than just about being a D. It's more about those individuals having accomplished what they set out to do and having no regrets. I also think that Rocinante might fulfill this criteria as well. Whitebeard didn't because he still had the regret of failing to save Ace or neglecting Squard.
Liam, I have this theory that came up while you were talking about Zunesha being Lily. I think Lily, being a "D" clan member, had the voice of all things and communicated with Zunesha to spread the ponegliffs across the world. It would make sense why there there would be a road ponegliff on him, and why there would be one in Alabasta. It may even be how one got on Skypiea. That also would explain the punishment Zunesha would have committed 800 years ago. I would love to get your thoughts on this!
09:39 Oh my god, I just remembered what I first thought when the chapter came out and we saw the silhouette on the cameras. Because some people said it could be Saturn, I thought: "Unless Saturn is some shadowy creature going goblin mode it isn't him." and now we just straight up see that all 5 Elders are strange shadowy creatures who can go goblin mode. I kinda agree that it could be from Imu's power, like an extension of Imu or created by Imu. It just looks more like something like Moria's shadow and not just straight up silhouettes.
9:39 I think we can safely assume that was either York or S-Snake. The problem is, most people are assuming the Gorosei and Imu are actual shadows and they're almost 100% sure NOT, this is classic Oda showing and hiding characters at the same time.
my expectations towards Egghead thicken. With all that unfolding I can't help but think everything culminates at Egghead. The Strawheads, some Blackbeards and a Gorosei. Vivi wants to meet-up with Luffy and Sabo wants to meet-up with Vivi. The Revolutionaries have more than enough reasons to also pull up on Egghead, the chance to eliminate a Gorosei (since he's been seperated and outside of the Holy Land) is just too enticing. This is just a crazy amout of buildup >_>
Crazy amount of buildup but it's not going to be the culmination of everything as you say. Way more potential buildup can be done, I mean the Grand Fleet, Cross Guild both have no reason to appear soon. That being said I kind of see this arc similar to Sabaody, and wouldn't be surprised if it's Dragon who shows up at the end to step in with the Elder.
If the Revolutionary Army is coming to take Out one of the elders, ill bet Dragon will be there as well. It's gonna be a family reunion for Luffy.... could that mean it's gonna be God Valley 2???
Caesar and Caribou traveling with the straw hats I was fine with but I don’t think Wapol can travel with them it would feel weird. Wapol killer Dr. Hiruluk and I don’t think chopper will let that go. that would be like having Arlong on the ship.
for kobra's death smile, im not so sure, if he married into the Nefertari family (which he most likely did) he wouldn't have the D in blood, and probably wouldn't even have it in name
Crazy theory time: Vivi is going to need to hide out somewhere that the World Government can't follow her, so she'll head to Wano. There, she'll meet up with Yamato, Momonosuke, and Kinemon, where they'll end up bonding over their shared connection to Luffy. Eventually news of Straw Hats' situation will reach Wano, and the four of them will set sail as the self-proclaimed 2nd Division of the Straw Hat Pirates to reunite with Luffy and the rest of the crew.
@@Niallisababe1 We are in a way far from done with Wano tho. We know that Pluton is under the walls there, so the story will have to return there eventually.
@@Raigekon I'd say that having them leave Wano addresses the issue. I mean we don't hear anyone saying "I'm so tired of following the adventures of a bunch of East Blue folks". We have to accept that Oda is perfectly capable of using characters from a place we just left without making us feel like yes repeating.
I just realized how big balls of steel Morgans has. He just took under his wing 2 of the most key figures the world goverment is looking for, and he must know what they are capable of.
I have some theories for some of the things that could happen in one piece after the last chapters: Theory 1: Devil Fruits and their Origins - Devil Fruits were once real people, and anyone who was not at the location of the 20 kingdoms when the world was transformed became a Devil Fruit. - It seems strange to me that Celestial Dragons like Charlois don't possess some of the strongest Devil Fruits. - Zoan type fruits could have originally been real animals. - The reason Doflamingo wasn't accepted back into Mariejois could be because he had eaten a Devil Fruit and not the killing of his father. - King's appearance with rubber-like abilities and the possibility of Joyboy being a Lunarian could be connected. - You might say how is it that joyboy had such a big strawhat (his mom was a lunarian and a size queen) - Imu and the elder stars might have natural-born powers instead of Devil Fruits. - Devil Fruit awakenings could allow fully awakened users to communicate with the real person in the devil fruit. - The term "Devil Fruits" and the portrayal of enemies of the World Government as devils like Nico Robin could have a symbolic meaning. Theory 2: The One Piece's Nature It's unclear to me why Imu or Akainu doesn't simply destroy the One Piece, which makes the presence of the bottle of sake unlikely to me. - The reason for not reaching the One Piece for 800 years remains unknown. - If Joyboy or Lily's story (Cause roger called it a story) is embarrassing for Imu, it could explain why the World Government go so hard against anyone trying to find the One Piece. - The One Piece might hold some significance or have sentimental value for Imu, which prevents its destruction. - The construction of the bridge could be used to reach the One Piece somehow. Additional Theory: Pell's Fate There are two possibilities for Pell's fate for me: - He could be an ancient weapon that cannot transform into his battleship form or a construct that could be reassembled. - Pell could be one of the four special Devil Fruit users, alongside Marco, emphasizing the rarity of their flight-related Devil Fruit abilities. This is just my headcannon and not fully fleshed out yet cause we don't have all of the puzzle pieces yet. Also english is not my first language so this isn't written perfectly
I'll give you some food for thought. About the One Piece nature. Akainu is the fleet commander of the marines he protects the people of the world. So maybe Imu is doing the same thing protecting the world. The destruction of the One Piece is not possible because the One Piece would be realized through the destruction. Pell's fate is interesting because it might be strongly linked with the desires of the two 2 royal devil fruits of Alabasta. I recently bought the box sets and in the english translation Pell calls himself the guardian spirit of Alabasta while Chaka calls himself the guardian deity of Alabasta. Pell is based on Horus and Chaka is based on Anubis. If you look at what Horus stands for (kingship, healing, protection, the sun and the sky) then it's clear that at the moment of the explosion Pell was fulfilling the desire of his devil fruit. So it's possible that saving Pell is the desire of Chaka's devil fruit. Or in gaming terms you kill Chaka first.
@@w.8372 I don't see the world government doing much to protect people, especially when it comes to the One Piece or mostly anything that's not in their best interest. They went as far as destroying an entire island (Ohara) just to cover up the information found there. And they wouldn't hesitate to call a buster call on Laugh Tale to keep its history a secret as well i would imagine. It's strange that for 800 years they haven't destroyed it. If Akainu was too busy, they could have sent Rob Lucci or even Spandam to handle the situation when it turns out to be a bottle of sake. Something smells fishy there, but i think Oda thought of something pretty complex. As for Pell's fate, I really hope they address Oda's biggest plothole where there should be five flying fruits. where he somehow only meant mythical flying so the could be more to his power then only flying and shooting. As you said he is based on one of my favourite gods in fiction as a kid (SG1 and papyrus). It would fit the themes of One Piece very well the god that brought the light from the sky back to egypt ending the darkness brought by his brother set. Fun fact from the brother set is he had a child with a god from a foreign invader and was shown as a crocodile. There was a good side to Set though cause he was the one that kept beating the serpent trying to swallow the sun. The world government let crocodile invade and is a foreign power with the lily backstory. Only two good things i can think of for Anubis though is that he protected tombs of the death and that he judged the wicked in the end of their life. I hope Oda laughs with every fake out death to work towards his Pell reveal. Still I choose to ignore it when it's revealed fake out deaths of characters i didn't like lived in my heart they are not alive.
@@Mana_Crow The One Piece is a bit more complex than a bottle of sake. And the world goverment is only protecting the world not the people. And a particuliar point of the world on top off that. Laugh Tale is easy to find for us readers just think of the last landmass of the Grandline and the pirate theme off the manga. Destroying Laugh Tale with a buster call would be impossible.
(Apologies for length. Just thorough with my thoughts is all.) My current theories: Theory 1- Imu being alive is tied to devil fruits continued existence. All the devil fruits we know were created during the war in the Void Century by Imu's power (maybe the original devil fruit?), and If Imu dies, all devil fruits either stop regrowing and/or their devil fruit will regrow somewhere and another could get it. Theory 2- The important lost knowledge is that "rulers" of the past were chosen by those who had a or a few specific devil fruits, and one of those fruits was the ability to create devil fruits that could be useful for certain needs. When war broke out against a brutal ruler and the ruling classes, many different types of fruit were created by them to use in the war, including The Hito Hito no Mi, which was tied to the idea that "human imagination is limitless and therefore the most powerful of all". Imu used trickery to influence the ruler(s) saying it would be one of if not THE strongest in the arsenal. After it was created, they were betrayed and it was given to/taken by Joyboy and eaten. It helped turn the tides of the war. When the rulers were taken out, Imu took the devil fruit the same way Blackbeard did with Whitebeard and stepped up as ruler. When It was over, Joyboy thought he was safe and was killed by Imu (maybe by betrayal after getting what they wanted.) Afterwards, they couldn't find the fruit. Knowing the power it had, the danger of being used against them, it was a threat. The alliance Imu started, creating the world government, they ordered to eradicate any knowledge of it, anyone who knew of the fruit's existence, and any who would seek the knowledge of the Void Century. But before any of that could be fully done, Joyboy put down ponoglyphs. Derp theory- Hito Hito no Mi grew where Joyboy was buried after his fellows recovered his body/remains. No one knew except those who brought him there to be away from anyone that might mistakenly disturb his resting place. Someone found it and thought they could get a shiny berry for the fruit not knowing what it was. Changed hands until it was intercepted by Shank's people, believing it had to be super important for CP to be involved. Okay, I'm done. Much love and pat yourself on the back for reading more than a tweet without throwing a giant fit. Your brain hasn't rotted out yet. =P
I know this is my personal head canon but ever since the reveal of Lili Nefertari, I have been under the impression that Cobra married into the Nefertari family. Because of Vivi, Titi, and now Lili it makes more sense to me that Alabasta is a more matriarchal society and Cobra took the Nefertari name when he married Titi. As the King he would of course know the secrets of the Royal family but I don't think he is a natural D. It probably doesn't matter much but I don't think we will see a Cobra death smile because of this.
I've been preaching for like a month that Sherohoshi is most likely a D. I think there's a lot of Ds. Probably a bunch of random Minks, giants,Fishman, Skypians, Wanoians, etc. This chapter kinda confirms it from Imu saying that people that have the D. Don't know about it
W video. I read Alabasta last year during the summer because I wanted to reignite the flame for my love for One Piece. I had so much negative feeling towards Wano I felt like I was beginning to forget to why I loved One Piece.
GOD DAMN. WE'RE GOING BACK TO THE OLD THEORIES. Are we gonna see Gin again? But also, we're all counting on the 10 crew members because that's what Luffy said so, but what if Oda comes out of nowhere and says that Luffy doesn't know how to count to ten and gives us more crew members?
I hope you guys aren't counting Luffy cuz I don't think he even counted himself, so let's see, (after counting Straw Hat members minus Luffy) yeah there are nine she is going to be the tenth member.
05:47 That's not exactly true, not all D-Clan-Members we saw dying or about to die were smiling in this moment. Trafalgar D. Water Law for example was crying (pretty much the opposite of smiling if you ask me) when Doflamingo was about to crush his head with his feet. Not sure if this is the only example, maybe someone can think of another. Just wanted to make a point that if Cobra wasn't smiling at the moment of his death, he isn't a failure or dissapointment as a D. ...or at least not more than Law that is.😅
The biggest mystery in one piece is still the Florian Triangle. What are those creature and how important are they to the lore? Its bigger than Zhunesha for goodness sake.
I kind of interpret that as oda telling us that even though the ghost story of thriller bark turned out to be the shenanigans of an onion shaped idiot, there are genuine unexplainable mysteries that we may never understand
Couple random theories. 1. Imu can somehow hold multiple devil fruits and Blackbeard is related to Imu in some way. 2. The massive shadow creature they saw a while back in the story actually was an elder in shadow form and they can become very large.
I think Mihawk is related to Imu, the have the same eye pattern some other characters have that to buy they both have red eyes and the same eyes in the manga.
Kind of strange that all of imus wanted posters ended up being "D" besides a certain mermaid who now it feels like will probably also be revealed as one as well
Oden could still be a D member as far as we know.. Now that characters can have the D attached to them retrospectively, like the Nefertari family. The Kozuki can also be a D clan, making Momonosuke also a D
I think your channel and the community around it is the only one that theorize and speculate on a rational level instead of saying random bullshit, declaring it as the truth thanks!
With Luffy and blackbeard being allies it a) means that Blackbeard is the 'true' final boss and b) will be them becoming unknowing allies. The only way I can see it is the Straw hat and blackbeard pilots both chose to fight Im at the same time which is entirely possible.
Luffy and Vivi have few things in common 1) They complete honest leader 2) They Completely fearless leader 3) they loyal to they friend and family 4) they love adventure 5) they both have Will D in their middle in name 6) They despise celestial dragon For try to attempt to enslave their friend 7)They both lost their family members (Ace and Cobra) to world government 8) they have both have frenmise (Luffy and buggy) (Vivi and Wapol) 9) They both Target by Imu for some reason Imu want to capture Vivi alive 10) Luffy and Vivi have huge role in world Luffy is the new Joyboy Vivi is Descend of Nefertari D Lily 11) they listen to each other, like when Vivi got gunshot. Luffy got angry, and Vivi stop him, reminding him of his responsibility as leader Luffy understood what Vivi said and Luffy point out that Vivi need stop take All responsibility by herself alone and let her friends help Share the responsibility with them that created Strong deep bond between Luffy and Vivi 12) They care about each other so much when Vivi gone missing Luffy about to go back Alabasta Despite very close to reach his dream also when Vivi Chose the stay behind she was crying and Hope that one they will meet again
Considering Blackbeard's power to steal the powers of others, I could see Imu being dealt with as the penultimate showdown only for Teach to steal whatever Imu's power is, leaving Luffy to now have to battle the combined powers of Teach and Imu to claim the One Piece.
Wapol could become a character similar to Yoki from FMA BROTHERHOOD, where he was an antagonist and became a protagonist for his own survival fighting with the straw hats because he knows his life is forfeit if he doesn't.
I think that Imu is lucky roux because they both have the same siluett, and in episode 420 of Two Piece, we saw their backflashes, and they were both very similar.
6:30 After I made my comment, I realized how my "haki users confirmed" statement contradicted my previous statement about it possibly being something else, but I left it as it was thinking "oh well, what are the chances Liam would see my comment anyway?" Oh the fool I am... how embarrassing. Though, seeing Liam use the silly "Shadow Elder" name was pretty sweet.
A "devil devil" devil fruit seems exactly something Oda would make up. First because it's just the sort of whacky thing like Vegapunks ability (nomi nomi no mi), plus the devil as a shadowy underworld identity would be a perfect contrast to Luffys "sun God" fruit. I didn't even think of the arrow actually being a devils tail, but it could also be something else. Say an actual arrow to represent the strict, straight forward rule of Imu, which doesn't bend or leave room for imagination like Luffys fruit does. I think those two are the most likely candidates for a devil fruit power.
if Imu and the five Elders would be one being or magically or powerbased bonded, why would they be surprised, when Imu walked into the room and showed himself to Cobra, but were totally cool when Imu sat down onto the empty thrown? so I'm not quite sure what to think of that. Imu somehow being able to share its powers would be quite nice, but still, I wouldn't know how that's possible on the distance, with one Elder on Egghead Island and Imu on its throne... another tip for cooking rice: 1. take the amount of rice you want 2. wash it 3. make sure the rice is level 4. put your index finger on top of the rice and add cold water until it hits your first knuckle
Alabasta is SUCH a good arc, and incredibly underrated. I’d highly recommend watching the anime version of it, as the pacing is FAR BETTER then any arc that comes after it. Also that finale with Dvorak’s new world symphony is 🤌👌👌👌
When you think about it there is a parallel between sabo leaving his rich family and joining the d family(luffy and ace) and lily leaving the celestial dragons and becoming a d member
I have a feeling after this chapter that there could be one more stage to devil fruits that have a “will of their own”. A stage that consists of the physical manifestation of that will. If the gorosei or even just saint Saturn has a fruit like this it’s possible he could be in two places at once. Imu could even be such a physical manifestation. It also means that the nika nika fruit would be able to do this.
So in regards to the confusion about the final antagonist, I have a theory. I think that blackbeard will become luffy's last obstacle towards getting the one piece. However, I don't think the story will end immediately after luffy gets the one piece. Instead, I think that the one piece itself is some sort of clue to defeating emu and the world government as a whole, at which point we'll have a full raid on both marineford 2, the holy land, and the final battle will be luffy versus emu and whatever powers he possesses.
1. Cobra is not a D. clan member. That would have to have been Vivi's mother Titi, because she also has the naming convention and similarappearance of Lili. Cobra married into the family and took the Nefertari name. 2. Sabo was not using his logia form when he was hit. He was remaining tangible to avoid burning Cobra and carry him away. So no Haki was confirmed at all. A logia user has to activate the ability it's not a passive trait to turn intangible.
I don’t think Vivi is directly descended from Lili, in the previous chapter Cobra stated that after Lili’s disappearance that rule passed to her younger brother. I think Cobra and Vivi are his descendants.
I think Imu is the user of the Boshi Boshi no Mi (Boshi being short of Kageboshi, meaning silhouette, as well as several other things on its own that I looked up on Wiktionary, and you can as well). Oda made Luffy's Awakening a Toon-Human as the logical endpoint of his desire for a silly protagonist, it only makes sense for Imu to be a Silhouette-Human as the endpoint of his habit of designing villains based on how scary of a silhouette he can give them. Horikoshi did something similar for the design of All for One from MHA after all.
One thought I had watching this, is that throughout the story we've followed the Straw Hats join a local faction and face off against the antagonistic force in a 1v1 scenario. However what if for the finale, there is more of a battle royale between the Straw Hats plus allies verses Blackbeard plus allies verses The World Government? I feel like in this scenario Cross Guild would for sure be an ally of the Blackbeards group and Red Hairs or the Revolutionaries would be an ally of the Straw Hats. In this way, the ending can separate itself from earlier arcs in both complexity and chaos.
I think Vivi’s mom is the member of the D clan, Cobra is not a important family member. It’s common one piece knowledge that important parents find their kids, abandon their kids, beat their kids or die for their kid’s. The only thing Cobra did was perve on his kid, and pay Nami for it.
Yea that move by cobra is IMO the only stain on the one piece series and why I truly feel no one really cares about Cobra. Still not sure what Oda was thinking.
@@TSCStag yeah, I’m not sure how Cobra thought that would go, CP0 was watching his daughter, and he was going to have a discussion with the 5 elders about things he knew would piss them off. Also was this before or after Imu destroyed a island. The arc had several flashbacks, with the order being hard with some of them.

I didnt think it was possible to make a character so important, big and mysterious in just 2 chapters. That's honestly insane and amazing.

The fact that oda kept alabasta important 20 years later is crazy, definitely a goda moment

unexpected rice cooking tips on this channel, ty!
Interesting. I'll take this solid advice. Thank you 😈
and the type of rice you use also has different ratios of water, brown rice for example might need more than jasmine rice which might need more than short grain sushi rice
Also since Imu referring to themselves as Mu does that mean their name is Mu but they say to others "I Mu." But they jutted assumed their name was Imu
@Ethan Davies imu is referring to himself in a third person, this is mostly common in literature and not anime that's why it is confusing
glad that Sabo is finally getting his time to shine. he’s so amazing
There's no way to compare that piece of shit of a failure to sabo
Yes but he is lore cool not doing things cool. Still very cool tho
Why would there be anything special about them then if it wasnt a specific group? The present day d’s are all shown to be tremendously significant
Considering how much relevance "Inherited will" has on the series, maybe Im was born as a member to the D clan, but decided to seek a different sort of freedom: one that allowed it to "break free" from the Will of D.
its imu not im
@@SneeGG It's leviosa, not leviosaaa

We have a likely immortal character with access to an island busting sky weapon but the theory of Imu op-op personality swapping into the body of someone who could control an ancient weapon seems a lot less popular than the all but confirmed immortality would suggest. Doflamingo pretty clearly linked both op-op operations to the "treasure of Maryjoa" and "true power".
These fruit shenanigans also allow for Lili's personality to be imprisoned in a certain giant wandering elephant. They also set-up a very interesting future role for one Trafalgar D Water Law.
Good theory
There’s a theory it just a side ways smile.
That's what I've been thinking the D stands for, heck to me the will of D is actually Roger and Luffy's shared dream, the secret dream that only a few people know now.
@@Shiggystardust I'm all in in that theory now. it's so oda like 🤣
I never thought about D representing a smile, based on how it looks at least in English
I also think it's dream
The two best parts of One Piece: 1. The release of each chapter
2. The accompanying Grand Line Review video
With Dragon being the most wanted man, I wonder if he’s seen Imu as well and just never been caught 🤔
Egghead has quickly become my most favorite arc in One Piece

The shadow monsters were literally the Gorsei transformations

11:02 Also. rinse the rice twice, then let it soak for 10 minutes before cooking.
I love that a hated villain has gotten a chance to shine in recent times, now all we need is Foxy to be revealed as a mythical zoan and we're all set!
Luffy's pirate journey started with shanks, it'll be poetic for it to end with shanks.
actually answering the Rice question seriously is part of why I love this channel lol
I totally think that Imu is 1 of the 20 Kings that had the eternal youth surgery. Then just outlived the other kings from the shadows.
It just looks more like something like Moria's shadow and not just straight up silhouettes.
i dont think vivi will become a permanent member of the straw hats, but i do belive for a little while we will have vivi aspart of the crew again
Do the Revolutionaries even HAVE that intel? Like, how would they have figured out an Elder Star had left the Holy Land?
Crazy amount of buildup but it's not going to be the culmination of everything as you say. Way more potential buildup can be done, I mean the Grand Fleet, Cross Guild both have no reason to appear soon. That being said I kind of see this arc similar to Sabaody, and wouldn't be surprised if it's Dragon who shows up at the end to step in with the Elder.
If the Revolutionary Army is coming to take Out one of the elders, ill bet Dragon will be there as well. It's gonna be a family reunion for Luffy.... could that mean it's gonna be God Valley 2???
The fact that an enemy has haki at this point in the story is kinda expected tbh
Caesar and Caribou traveling with the straw hats I was fine with but I don’t think Wapol can travel with them it would feel weird. Wapol killer Dr. Hiruluk and I don’t think chopper will let that go. that would be like having Arlong on the ship.

I just realized how big balls of steel Morgans has. He just took under his wing 2 of the most key figures the world goverment is looking for, and he must know what they are capable of.
I have some theories for some of the things that could happen in one piece after the last chapters:
Theory 1: Devil Fruits and their Origins
- Devil Fruits were once real people, and anyone who was not at the location of the 20 kingdoms when the world was transformed became a Devil Fruit.
- You might say how is it that joyboy had such a big strawhat (his mom was a lunarian and a size queen)
- Imu and the elder stars might have natural-born powers instead of Devil Fruits.
- Devil Fruit awakenings could allow fully awakened users to communicate with the real person in the devil fruit.
- The term "Devil Fruits" and the portrayal of enemies of the World Government as devils like Nico Robin could have a symbolic meaning.
Theory 2: The One Piece's Nature
It's unclear to me why Imu or Akainu doesn't simply destroy the One Piece, which makes the presence of the bottle of sake unlikely to me.
Additional Theory: Pell's Fate
There are two possibilities for Pell's fate for me:
- He could be an ancient weapon that cannot transform into his battleship form or a construct that could be reassembled.
Just thorough with my thoughts is all.)
My current theories:
Theory 1- Imu being alive is tied to devil fruits continued existence.
It is going to be so fun telling the entire story of one piece when this series ends.
@@TSCStag Agreed.
What if LiLi is actually Zunisha 😮
Don't know about it
Add the kuzuki too
@@kuroneko3837 I did! The "Wanoians" lol
@@BenD_Bass I didn't notice 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dragon's reaction to Imu is going to be crazy..
i have a bad feeling that vivi will become closer to wapol instead lol
I think Mihawk is related to Imu, the have the same eye pattern some other characters have that to buy they both have red eyes and the same eyes in the manga.
we have dog-flamingo lets have kai-dog too[day 154]
+1
Kind of strange that all of imus wanted posters ended up being "D" besides a certain mermaid who now it feels like will probably also be revealed as one as well
Oden could still be a D member as far as we know.. Now that characters can have the D attached to them retrospectively, like the Nefertari family. The Kozuki can also be a D clan, making Momonosuke also a D
It does kinda make sense. Since D diesnt necessarily mean a bloodline rather a way of living
O D’En Kozuki?
Oden died smiling too. O D.en.
I think your channel and the community around it is the only one that theorize and speculate on a rational level instead of saying random bullshit, declaring it as the truth
thanks!
With Luffy and blackbeard being allies it a) means that Blackbeard is the 'true' final boss and b) will be them becoming unknowing allies.
The only way I can see it is the Straw hat and blackbeard pilots both chose to fight Im at the same time which is entirely possible.
I would think so too since once upon a Time there was also a Roger & Garp vs Rocks
Luffy and Vivi have few things in common
1) They complete honest leader
2) They Completely fearless leader
3) they loyal to they friend and family
4) they love adventure
5) they both have Will D in their middle in name
6) They despise celestial dragon For try to attempt to enslave their friend
7)They both lost their family members (Ace and Cobra) to world government
8) they have both have frenmise (Luffy and buggy) (Vivi and Wapol)
9) They both Target by Imu for some reason Imu want to capture Vivi alive
10) Luffy and Vivi have huge role in world Luffy is the new Joyboy Vivi is Descend of Nefertari D Lily
11) they listen to each other, like when Vivi got gunshot. Luffy got angry, and Vivi stop him, reminding him of his responsibility as leader Luffy understood what Vivi said and Luffy point out that Vivi need stop take All responsibility by herself alone and let her friends help Share the responsibility with them that created Strong deep bond between Luffy and Vivi
12) They care about each other so much when Vivi gone missing Luffy about to go back Alabasta Despite very close to reach his dream also when Vivi Chose the stay behind she was crying and Hope that one they will meet again
Right now, the only prediction I can confidently make is that whatever happens next is going to be fucking awesome.
Considering Blackbeard's power to steal the powers of others, I could see Imu being dealt with as the penultimate showdown only for Teach to steal whatever Imu's power is, leaving Luffy to now have to battle the combined powers of Teach and Imu to claim the One Piece.
Imu needs to work on his observation haki😂. Scared af when he saw sabo.

After I made my comment, I realized how my "haki users confirmed" statement contradicted my previous statement about it possibly being something else, but I left it as it was thinking "oh well, what are the chances Liam would see my comment anyway?" Oh the fool I am... how embarrassing.
Though, seeing Liam use the silly "Shadow Elder" name was pretty sweet.
I love how Wapol is 3 letters from being rearranged to Wario, he even got the mustache
Really can't wait for all of these sidetrack Egghead (and just Egghead) episodes to be animated, its really going to be banger after banger
But i’m waiting for dr vegapunk official colors
The Logo of the Revolutionary Army resembles IMU. We can see his EYES, CROWN and MOUTH. Maybe Dragon is trying to expose him.
Imu somehow being able to share its powers would be quite nice, but still, I wouldn't know how that's possible on the distance, with one Elder on Egghead Island and Imu on its throne...
another tip for cooking rice:
1. take the amount of rice you want
2. wash it
3. make sure the rice is level
4. put your index finger on top of the rice and add cold water until it hits your first knuckle
I can't wait to see vivi's interactions with robin franky brook and jinbe
I have a feeling after this chapter that there could be one more stage to devil fruits that have a “will of their own”. A stage that consists of the physical manifestation of that will. If the gorosei or even just saint Saturn has a fruit like this it’s possible he could be in two places at once. Imu could even be such a physical manifestation. It also means that the nika nika fruit would be able to do this.
3:24 YESSSS!!!! that thought has been buzzing in the back of my mind for a while now
So in regards to the confusion about the final antagonist, I have a theory.
Luffy would never let Wapol on the ship. Luffy would never risk his precious meat.
I don’t think Vivi is directly descended from Lili, in the previous chapter Cobra stated that after Lili’s disappearance that rule passed to her younger brother. I think Cobra and Vivi are his descendants.
Also noticed vivi is the only living female with the will of d.
I love how you just casually answered a cooking question.
I like the Where The Wild Things Are theory. It just makes so much sense.
“Green is an objectively good colour” is the realest thing he’s ever said
I think Imu is the user of the Boshi Boshi no Mi (Boshi being short of Kageboshi, meaning silhouette, as well as several other things on its own that I looked up on Wiktionary, and you can as well).
Lmfaoo I love how Liam just casually answers the rice question like ya this is one piece grandline review we answer anything😂
Franky would love to meet Wapol. Everyone would have a meh reaction while Franky is star struck.
Never before has one preview thumbnail summarized a chapter so well! Didnt even need to read the chapter. Cheers!
@@ginnungagapabyss5639 oh I am talking about staring at his own daughter in the bath and showing all the men the way to the bath - that is the one stain I see on the series and that makes no sense
@@TSCStag yeah, I guess it’s not as bad as Sanji in one of the movies getting super creepy about grooming a kid Nami.
@@ginnungagapabyss5639 woa WHAT… ugh … see sh’t like this I just go, am I betraying my values reading something like this you know? It is so good but then they have these small moments that are 10000% evil. Why the f’k write them? Makes me think Oda is hiding some really bad darkness.
Came for the one piece discussion, stayed for the advice on cooking rice
For the time, I enjoy the fact that we are off egg head, we get to see what the other characters are up too, doing a little bit of exploration and getting info dump about the one piece world.
I love the idea of Luffy and Blackbeard launching assaults on Imu at the same time, unrelated, and both crews getting absolutely battered, needing to work together to survive
I still think Imu has an ink ink fruit and writes history with it, just cannot erase the poneglyphs cause of the haki thing
Blackbeard thought he was gonna get killed by WhiteBeard, and wasn't smiling
Cobra isn't releated by blood... vivi looks like her mother and both look like the olde queen...
