For India to get back on global stage, Bihar has to be rich and reclaim it's original glory. The seat of knowledge in the ancient world must rise again. I think every state should have an international standard museum in their capital cities and other cities as well. And New Delhi need to have the world's biggest museum. The oldest civilization must have the biggest museums.

Very impressive, especially on museum best practices. This is sooo different from what our grp of museum enthusiasts from Singapore saw at the Patna museum in 2013. Yes, presentation, lighting, and those other factors are so important. Kudos to those who made this happen.

Earlier, I enjoyed visit to Patna Museum. My recent visit to Bihar Museum was an exceptionally great experience. Even interaction with staff and security personnel was pleasant. Its cafeteria offer delicious food. It should be on agenda of any visitor to Patna.
Impressive! I have known and worked with Mr. Anjani Kumar Singh especially in girls' education (free bicylces, books, uniforms, etc. & adult women's literacy (Akshar Aanchal) and later when he was Chief Secretary of Gov of Bihar. Always a man of converting big ideas into action. Wish him and Bihar the best.

Story telling is very important to connect the visitor entering museum if we are able to do that with all 800 meseum i think it will definitely attract a lot of people instead of visiting it for photo clicks .
Very impressive and really well planned arranging statues in story form or befire entering if people were told some story of that era so kids and people can relate to it ...
Because when i went in one of the museum i was not able to connect as i was not told the story of each item proper or i think before entering a meseum there should some sort film of that period so that people or kids can relate to it , i m a student of indian history but connecting with a meseum statue is tough ...so please do focus on story every one loves it and bihar museum is doing that connecting present with beautiful history

I stayed in Patna from 1998 to 2005 and I visited this museum several times. Bihar has very good potential to attract tourists even today. Unfortunately only Bodhgaya and Nalanda are highlighted. Even people in Patna don't know the significance of Kumhrar in Patna itself. Hardly anyone knows about Vikramshila Mahavihar. This guy is talking about nothing but promoting himself.
