Exactly!! I read that in an article and I was like yep just not hiding it anymore huh Ronny Ron! Well even though he wasn't truly hiding much from anyone on how he thinks! He defends racists and bigots to the end, but when it comes to black, brown, Asians, women and LGBTQ people well he will push them off the cliff. I read an article today that 65% of LGBTQ parents who are LGBTQ themselves or have children who are are seriously deciding to leave Florida and move to blue states and 17% have started the process of moving out of Florida.

I had a B average in FL. I passed the FCAT (Florida knock off of the S.A.Ts) first time around. When I took the SATs the following year I had to retake them 3 times to get a grade good enough to get into college. The piss poor quality in education in Florida is NO JOKE.

@@ricardocabeza6006 Technically speaking, DeSantis also claimed that there was an 'attempt' to 'indoctrinate' the students, this time over 'Critical Race Theory' in numerous math textbooks.
It would be technically correct to say these textbooks weren't banned. However, when you consider the ability and reason to even get the books, it is a pseudo-ban because they are not allowed in Florida schools - as in, they were specifically pointed out and rejected, thus unable to be used in Florida school curricula unless they completely re-publish their books without the 'Critical Race Theory' in it. And reviewers have pointed out they did not see any signs of 'Critical Race Theory'.
Realistically, who is going to get these textbooks if not the schools? Your premise of 'these books are still available to purchase' doesn't really make sense because - think about it- what student or parent is going to buy a textbook that was disallowed by the Florida Board of Education, that isn't even a part of the curriculum?

This, and how many African cultures before colonization had gender-expansive identities. Most Indigenous cultures reject binaries, with some individuals in their social groups performing tasks, behaving, and socializing in ways that would reject what our society would call gender norms. The "death" of culture where people in the tribes could deviate traditional norms associated with their assigned gender at birth has much to do with colonization, and their enforcement of binary gender norms.

You seem to basically be describing a school choice bills, which let people take the public school money that would have been used to educate their child and take it to a private school and use it to pay part of what is usually a higher bill.
I don't really have the space to get into the details of why this is a problem, but these bills are designed to destroy public education as we know it by robbing public school systems of funding.
Diverting money from public education is exactly what does DeSantis wants to do.
Basically, we've come to the point where the GOP knows that an educated populace will not vote for them so they're trying to destroy the schools in this country to ensure voters in the future.
