The only problem with that narrative is that he didn't let him test the market last year because he knew better and franchised him. This year with the glut of good running backs entering free agency at the same time (collusion?), he probably thought Saquon's love of NY and the Giants would pigeonhole him. Wrong! And let me add that Saquon not only did last a single day on the free agent market, he was scooped up by one of the best and smartest gms in the history of the nfl FOR TOP OF THE MARKET PRICE and didn't bat an eye doing it. This seems like a desperation move by the Eagles. Overpaying for a runningback who’s had issues staying healthy is not going to get them back to a Superbowl. Their problem last year was not runningback, it was their terrible secondary and bad coaching.
Our offense was absolute dogshit too, never ran the ball and threw 1000 screens. Barkley at least makes the run game a thing and can actually do something with screens.
