    Hi Gabriel , you might be interested , as you asked the question, that the median price of a house in Newtown is $1.8 Million.
    Those places you passed were actually terrace houses from the 19th century. Newtown was originally mainly small workers cottages and a low socio economic area. Sydney real estate is the second most expensive on earth .
    Newtown was a slum until about the 1960's . An apartment overlooking Manly beach might start from about $7 million. It's crazy.
    I bought a house in Newtown in the 1970's and it was a dodgy area then , with squatters and street gangs. Cheapest area I could find.
    By the way , you should take the Toronga Park ferry to see native animals at the zoo. Leaves from Circular Quay.
    A trip to Katoomba on the train is a great day trip to see the dividing range, vast forests and take some bush walks. Good food and pubs locally.
    Safe travels.

      Those are some crazy prices. I don't understand how real estate became that level expensive in a country that's 99% empty space. There's no shortage of land and resources in Oz. As opposed to Japan with way more people and way less open land and it's actually cheaper there.

Sydney is a great place to live, with amazing nature and climate all year. If you have time the Blue Mountains is quite spectacular and about 2 hours away. On Sunday the transport fee is capped at $2.50 however it might only be if you used an opal card during the week, just ask a transport staff. Either way the train is an easy and independent way to get up there and it's worth it. Been a while since I've been in Newtown, used to live there for a few years. Funny to see what's changed and what hasn't. With that sort of weather, you probably would've been better off just turning left at the station and setting up at the Townie. Or at least taking regular refreshment stops along your way. Not really a day for watching the world go by outside there, I'm afraid.

    Hi Gabe, The Martin Luther King mural was comparing what he said (“I have a dream”) to traditional First Australians (“Aboriginal”) spiritual culture, known as “the Dreaming”. There are many different First Australians’ cultures, each with their own language, country and “dreaming”. We have the oldest continuous human culture here in Australia, 60-100,000 years of culture right here in Oz. I’m a “whitefella” Australian, 5th Generation, but I am proud of the First Australians (“black fellas”) and their history and traditional ownership. I was born in Newcastle, NSW, Awabakal country.

      Australian Aboriginals do not have a say in all this third world immigration I to their country

    • @sirsillybilly
      @sirsillybilly ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no real Aboriginal culture. It’s a manufactured idea from nefarious interests to pit an Us V Them narrative to sow division. For example Welcome to Country ceremonies was manufactured by Ernie Dingo in 80s which was a copy of the Maoris. The Flag is from the 70s replacing the NSW flag (our founding nation state) on the Harbour Bridge.
      It’s not about empowering Aboriginals but disempowering all Australians, as the Us V them is a newly fomented narrative. One which is easily leaned on by the UN forcing migrants moving en masse who just point the finger and claim ‘racism’ it’s not your land; Ipso Facto its the third worlds, hand over your tax.
      Of all these languages how many are spoken by a collective. The most is a couple thousand. Language is culture and for all intents there is no culture.
      All the inner city tick a box so-called Aboriginals ie the majority are opportunists seeking Grants, attention and social credit. They’re all over the radio and tv saying they’re a ‘proud’ Wiradjuri man saying all of two words in a tongue which they thinks constitutes a language or culture. Their culture is far more Weatern ie being a Karen. It’s a farce and most white Australians support this because they have given up their own culture of Christianity and seek to hinge some spiritual connection to this situation which is nothing less than the Emperors new robes. Catholic guilt traversed.
      As long as you support such you are virtuous and have no fear of being labeled anything.
      Edit: anyone voting for the Voice to Parliament referendum is voting in a Trojan Horse and will see exactly how this Us V Them narrative is and was always the end goal to break up this nation.

Get out to the Blue Mountains if you get a chance and down to places like Kangaroo Valley. I wasn't born there, but Sydney will always be for me my home. Looking forward to getting a proper chance to watch all the Aus videos. Yea I hear you about that one. I questioned my own choice having been here previously (and loved it), but the 6 month visa was really appealing. Although, i forgot how much the wifi sucked and the monsoon season - great for a 3 month roadtrip on a bike haha. Enjoy Aus mate!
