- Wuxi Poly Plaza, opened in 2004 as a comprehensive shopping hub, faced challenges with the rise of newer complexes from 2010 onwards. The once-vibrant space, home to major brands like Carrefour, gradually declined, marked by store closures and financial woes. In 2017, a revitalization plan was announced, aiming to transform Poly Plaza into a forest park consumption plaza. Despite an estimated 150 million yuan investment, the project's progress remains uncertain amid the changing commercial landscape. Today, the dilapidated Poly Plaza in Wuxi holds memories but awaits its fate in the evolving era of modern complexes.

no wonder you got caught you were pretty loud, guy told you to be silent since there was a guard 2 floors beneath you but you kept talking, i get you wanted to tell your camera what you thought but this could've been done afterwards as a voiceover, and the fact you walked on so much creaking wood and shattered glass

The security guy and the poster said that a lot Chinese people came here for adventure🤣They were afraid that if you hurt yourselves in this kind of adventure, they maybe sued by you for compensation, so they had to chase you out, to protect their own interests.
Funny how much other countries learn from America. I can assure you china cares not for the safety and security of their own people.

He is totally fine, 无锡保利广场had been abandoned for more than 5 or 6 years, there still a cinema running and maybe few shops. It is the place of many locals childhoods memories, but money talks there. And there are tons of similar vids had been made, this one is rather very dated. And China is the safest nation by far on this pathetic little planet, it is pathetic because the ignorant of people who only capable of knowing their world only in English.

I lived in China for over 5 years as an American. China isn't what most Americans think it is. The place is actually really chill. You'll never get in any type of extreme danger from walking around a place like this. You certainly aren't going to jail for this in China.

No country is going to risk INTERPOL and UN relations issues over a foreign tourist poking around an abandoned mall. they will do everything they can to not arrest you as long as you aren't truely comitting a national crime (us spy)

we lost our local mall last year, and within a week, they started construction on a giant Meiers where the mall was at

This is next level urbexing with more risks but luckily you had Robin as your body guard 😅👍I’m not sure if Joey got caught one time while urbexing not sure if it was in Japan or Taiwan but urbexing in China is definitely more risky but it’s easy for Robin😂

The mega mall was completely shut down in 2016 after the Carifour shop closed.
In 2023 the city announced a plan to revitalize the mall.
The biggest risk here was using that elevator/lift which prolly has not been serviced since 2014 - a decade of decay!
