- today we visit china to explore an abandoned movieset that is equally as big and great to hollywood! the film built for this movieset is called the 800.The film is based on real life events: the defense of Sihang Warehouse in 1937 Shanghai by Chinese NRA troops during the Battle of Shanghai and the Second Sino-Japanese War.

I just finished watching the movie The Eight Hundred on TH-cam and wow, what an intense, emotional piece of history to watch. I watched you and the guide Robin (who I later realized I watched him do a tour of an abandoned theme park that also had security on the property) Your video with Robin was epic and that was what made me seek out the movie. As I watched the movie it was surreal to see the actual buildings you guys went into and explored. Absolutely loved this video you made with him.

Robin is THE MAN. He was like a whippet running around! I absolutely loved this, loved the location, loved the vibe, loved the adrenaline rush we all felt with you, loved the passion. Not much gets in your way when you’re dedicated & committed & I love that too!
There's so much detail in those buildings that it's hard to grasp that it was only done for a movie. They did a fantastic job recreating that place. Thanks to the guards and dogs that place is scarier than a haunted location. I absolutely love this place. Can you imagine being there in the reals buildings back in 1930's Shanghai? Great job Josh, thanks so much for the tour and for taking the risk. ♥
