    According to the law, because the family tried to scam the hotel, and someone died in the process, they should all be charged for murder.

      Its a long standing tradition in these shows going back to Dragnet and Adam 12. If you watch all the old Jack Web cops shows you'll see a lot of the same guys and women cycle through, and the Adam 12 cops made a lot of appearances on Dragnet, it helps keeps costs down to just have these people on studio payroll and rotate them through shows with the occasional guest star to shake things up.

    Not too many episodes where the parties are innocent. But man when they are, they leave an impact. Sad there's little focus on Russel though. This ep is mainly about how the family tried to scam the system. There's so little focus to seeing this the poor guy's life go downhill. But seeing later how he's beat up and begging Munch to listen to him? Man this episode was *so* messed up.

I mean even if I didn't tend to favor the suspect due to how easy it is for women to claim consensual intercourse as the big R, I would have at least been fair with the treatment. He is innocent until proven guilty and while he was there and claims to have slept with her, meaning that both stories line up with his presence at the hotel, it was his word against hers. And while yes, there were injuries on her and she claimed it was him, you can't be sure that she is being truthful.

    Never, ever, never talk to the gun and badge thugs.

    • @RLucas3000
      @RLucas3000 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to amend your statement. You can put “it’s often a good idea not to talk, but it can also get you killed”
      See the episode where this guy had an ironclad alibi, but wouldn’t tell it to the police, because he was gay and didn’t want anyone to know. There was enough circumstantial evidences to get him remanded to Riker’s, which he wouldn’t have been had he just told them his ironclad alibi! By the time they tracked it down on their own and went to get him released, he had been shived by an inmate for his bologna sandwich. So not talking to the police 100% got him killed. So you should amend your statement. If someone takes your advice about not talking and it gets them killed (remember these episodes are taken from real crimes), a DA like McCoy could probably try to prosecute you for manslaughter (in that following your advice got them killed.)
