25 years. 25 years this show has been on air. And it STILL packs the same punch.
I agree! So many people hate watch just because they can’t move on from past characters, but this is still a great show. I could do without them rotating new female detectives every season though lol

We really liked Graham Patrick on Major Crimes. It was great to see him again here on SVU. He did a great job.

I know in the beginning of the episodes, they say that they’re not based on true stories, but with a lot of the details, you can tell that they’re based on true stories. Like in this episode, you can tell that it’s based on the Gabby Petito case. There’s so many similarities.

Yes, but that monster killed her and then himself! Unfortunately the cops failed her and could have saved her life but like so many of them they didn’t do their job! Very sad story!
He stabbed himself, thinking if she died, he could still be with her. No, where she's gone is a place he can't follow. Hell is where he is going.
To be honest, Olivia has all her emotions flowing in her mind and took it out on him. Just to be clear, I love SVU. That was a loophole of what he did to his girlfriend. I agree 100% with Olivia's wisdom of words that she described Elie to Chris during interrogation. I love Mariska Hargitay!

Very similar to the case in Florida... the boyfriend and girlfriend influencers looking happy, he abused her, stopped by cops, then the rock..
What about one Florida boy who used two girls to kill each other over him? He used both of them and he loved having two girlfriends. That’s manipulation, and those girls wanted to be loved, but he went too far and got one of those girls murdered to keep the boyfriend

There is actually a case (I forget as to who as it was years ago in the States) but this man actually attacked his girlfriend in the car, giving her blow after blow and she passed away. Very sad.

Sometimes people do have decorative rocks, like if they’re going for a garden theme decor or something. But if this case is based off the real life one I’m thinking of, the couple was camping in a state park, so there’d be rocks everywhere.
