allroads are a funny thing. I've had a c5, a c6, and now a c5 again because I missed my first one so much. This is after rebuilding auto transmissions in both c5's, both cylinder heads in the first one, air suspension spring and pump replacements, among a bunch of other little things. The thing is, nobody makes a car like the C5 allroad any more. You can't get the same driving experience, the same feel, in a more modern or reliable car. And you cant really get a car as old as a c5 allroad that is still so nice to be in today.
Owned an Allroad (2.7L Twin Turbo) for about 40k Miles. Felt like it was on the verge of blowing up so I sold with about 120k miles on ODO. I can tell you it was the best 40k miles I ever put on a car. I used to have dreams the world around me was blowing up, and I was safe and sound in my Allroad. Anyway, I loved the video, loved the cars, and absolutely loved the humor.
I was seriously considering a low miles 2005 4.2 with a 6 speed manual a couple years back but was scared off by reliability. I really like the look of them inside and out and think I would have liked it.
I also now own *two* C5 allroads. A 2002 and a 2003. The 2002 is the Olympic special with a manual swap and F21s (bought on Cars & Bids). But a 2002 doesn't have LATCH so... I bought a 2003 Allroad that has a factory stick.
Just bumped into this video, love the Allroads! I just purchased a 02 manual and wanting to upgrade to some new wheels. What brand and style of wheels are on the black Allroad. Thanks!
A c5 allroad is on my list to own. Its a car you gotta know how to work on and best way to take care of include the type/brand of parts. This thing was really sophisticated for almost 20 years ago. I remember the first time i saw one,it was bad ass! Cool video. Doug doesnt know shit about how to wrk on cars.
I have two Audi allroad a6 and a4 my a6 c5 is by far the best car, it is the second one I have owned, the pulling power is phenomenal but not cheap to run.
C5 allroad is unreliable when it came out, but compared to current generally overpriced crap, it is actually not that bad, particularly if you are doing the following: 1. change air suspension to spring (or just change Arnold air suspension every 5 years) 2. Transmission fluid change every 60K. (300$) 3. Camshaft seal (300-600$) 4. replacing all leaking pipes every 10 years. 5. (AUTO) Transmission could still fail passing 100K miles. But if you catch the problem early you can get away with just replacing TQ converter. If you drive manual you do not have trans related problem.
There seems to be this idea in the car world that "if a mechanic hates working on a particular car, it's a piece of shit and you should avoid it". But, just because a mechanic hates working on something, does not mean it's a piece of shit in all cases.
I just bought a 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro, so far so good. Buddy replaced the airbags with springs. All cars are unreliable if you don't take care of them. Just remember the law of 2 T's. Tits or Tires it's going to give you problems. BTW man can I suggest a deodorant called CRYSTAL. It's a Mineral stone, you put it on right out of the shower before toweling off and let your pits dry naturally. You are Welcome. Be well. 😎👍
Are you driving a Lexus IS300? I can tell by the dash, I think it is :D I also have a 2000 S4 with Stage 2+ and the the turbo kicks in it pulls all the way to 140, very fun
Did you just choke the engine on clutch release :)))) lol. That lego shifter comment in addition to this ... just how much experience you have driving manual?
I sold my 2005 allroad to my mechanic for $800. After a couple of years of wrenching on it, and not being able find a buyer, he wants to sell it back....

Had a 4.2 liter Allroad back in the day, still one of the coolest cars I owned.

Owned four, wonderful cars, had to change when I moved continents. I diesel, 1 manual. All delightful.
I wish my 2.7t Allroad was manual. Great video btw
Great video. I was really surprised to see just 225 subs....

Doug is quite the tool.

Both of them look awesome. I'm a little bit on the black side but I already have 2.7 so I'd go for the V8 for sure.
where can I find more info about the red one??
Love the video, what tires are on the v8 car?
Where did u get the honeycomb grill
Man I was hoping to see the b5 s4 as well.

Which engine are you talking about?

So im not the only one driving around with the pet separator always up.
I have mine in use position !
@Vee Gee i just hit 95k on my 2001.
I have mine up to protect the big ol' speaker box I have for my woofers in the back

Just bought a 02 allroad, has 102k on it looks like im going to do the timing belt for safe measures. How's yours holding up?
I really want one! But it's so rare here in the UK.
Numan Ahmed I have one for sale in uk. 07725273712. Hit me up.
@@oscarphillips1304 hello mate is it a petrol or diesel? And how much are you looking to get for it?

I can tell too, because the car is visibly in the video
@@MycketTuff I think I skipped around the video a bit lol
If you buy a VAG, you buy a manual with a timing belt! No DSG and chains! Also Audi is usually a bad choice since they have the newest engines...
rkan2 um I have a 2008 vw r32 dsg and timing chains and never had a issue what are you smoking?
Since when does the Audi A6 C5 have DSG?
Did you just choke the engine on clutch release :)))) lol.
That lego shifter comment in addition to this ... just how much experience you have driving manual?
Oh no, stalling a strange car once. Oh no, experiencing a shifter that feels different from other cars you drive. haha
clutch and shifter aren't properly set up
takes very fine tuning
to make smooth
Why would you drive on the highway at the highest setting? That's why its adjustable so you can go low on the street and high off road.
How about next time you film THE CARS? xD no go around, didnt even see the back off them.. gg
Unsubscribed from Doug's channel
LOL when I saw him crush one I did the same
th-cam.com/video/KAhR1MLGYNU/w-d-xo.html CAUTION!!! THIS VIDEO WILL PRODUCE A GASOLINE FUELED FIRERY RAGE
I really dislike that Douglas Demuro guy ... his reviews are super cringeworthy.
Yes
Great car if you can do your own repairs.
Terrible car if you can't.
I now have 2 c5 allroads and a b5s4.
What was the point of this video???
mmmadog Smith to show the different points of view in terms of the usability of the classic Audi Allroad
I live my all road its just expansive

I think I saw you in instagram? ❤️Audi
🌟L🏁i💙k💛E👍

Sluta gapa ditt finska helvete
I sold my 2005 allroad to my mechanic for $800. After a couple of years of wrenching on it, and not being able find a buyer, he wants to sell it back....
