Moved to Toa Payoh 3 years ago after staying at Hougang for 34 years and has patronised this hawker centre for breakfast at least twice a week then. Sure brought back nostalgic memories. There are a very popular kway chap and coffee stall, wonder they are still around. There is a very traditional prawn noodle stall manned by an elderly couple. Their stall closed for a long time before I moved. Can someone let me know whether the stall is back? Thanks for this, really missed this place.
Hi YC.. it was only my first time there.. and I only covered less than half of it in detail. There are still quite a few popular stalls with long queues that I’ve yet to take a closer look. Do visit the old Hawkers from time to time.. they’ll be super happy you’ve come back to visit them 😌😊 even after shifting. Happiness is in knowing their customers loved their food
@@Piggypuggy thank you for your quick reply. I heard the elderly had stroke before and was sick. Very sad if the stall had to close if he is incapacitated. I was hoping to see their stall in your video. Really old style prawn noodle, to me it's the best stall in the centre.

From someone staying here for a decade. The dong ji carrot cake fingers, that ming fa duck rice from the corner store, the coffee from da zhong, the western food stall that open till late, the teochew porridge stall is 👍👍👍 The yi liu xiang nasi lemak stall used to be good too until they take away the cucumber and eggs. That turn me off , their nasi still good but all meat I don't like.

Food price look affordable for most people and year on year look Stable, inflation rate is low in Singapore. good for people.
Every thing revolves around food in Singapore. A life time may not be enough to complete the food list.

Not sure about the dinner crowd.. but to find and seek out new places to eat is a Joy 🤩
What does it take, for the food handling to be done more hygienically ?
