Three weeks ago I rented a car and drove to Ohio from Michigan. 5 hour drive. I bought an 04 350Z Touring Roadster. I paid $9,000 even for it. It had only 85,500 miles on it. Mostly stock with some upgrades, like an apple play head unit, new exhaust, 5% tint on the windows, it has been lowered, new convertible roof, new aluminum valve covers, all gaskets changed on the top of the engine, everything works! no lights on the dash, no rust. Needless to say the ride home from Ohio was a blast! I am in love! And for the record, I will be 70 years old this summer.
That's awesome, so glad to hear you're enjoying the car. 85k miles is still super low for these things and has plenty of life left! Congrats on the Z!
The 350z is the 911 for the 2020's, they are going to appreciate. Pay attention the the base model that weighs 3188 lbs curb weight. You can get it below 3000lbs easily and your power to weight ratio will be equivalent to a lot of exotics.
I bought my 08' HR 6MT for 12k back in January of this year through an offerup post. Clean title, base model, 113k miles, all stock except for invidia n1 exhaust. Gallery gaskets were replaced by previous owner, tires were still good.
Very happy with the car.
Some theorize that the prices for used cars will continue to rise, and I tend to agree. As for the price of gas, it's ridiculous. I keep reminding myself that the great sound and driving experience are worth the extra expense of Premium. Plus I try to walk to town 1 or 2 days a week to conserve gas. Congrats on the 15k milestone!
Now is probably a good time to snatch a JDM before 2023-2025. Hopefully, I'm wrong but I seriously doubt we will ever see 2004-2018 car prices ever again.
Used car market is declining, just wait till the recession and people get laid off.. a lot of deals coming up in the near future

Great cars ! I miss mine at times. Got my 2003 DE for 8k back in 2019 with under 100k miles, I’d say around 87k miles, completely stock and enjoyed the car greatly, very reliable and only had to replace the clutch through my 2 year ownership of daily driving it and ended up selling it for around 10k due to the market inflation in mid 2021, I just wanted a Subie more
Yeah man you definitely gotta get lucky with these cars, I started wanting one after I couldn’t find a V8 for cheap and looked for 6-8 months on Carfax, Cargurus, Carmax, you name it man. Couldn’t find any with low miles for a good price and that wasn’t a DE. After I was gonna give up looking on one and literally everyone in my family told me to start looking for something else because I probably wouldn’t find one (I’m in Delaware 🤣) I happened to be riding through a town and saw this one sitting there for $7900 and instantly pulled my beater Silverado over to look at it, when I saw 64k miles I almost internally screamed and did everything in my power to get it the next day 🤣
So yeah, it may be a little difficult but the story of getting it is always so cool to tell and makes you appreciate having the car 10x more 💯

I just dropped off my Z to get new tires on it. Since I live in Texas gas cost $3.25 and I have a hard time keeping my foot out of it. Love that car, it's so much fun to drive.

My z is having timing chain problems, found oil in cylinder 5 today😪 it’s misfiring without a check engine light. It has me stressing but I’ll get through it! Love your videos bro!
Mine had a misfire in cylinder 3, no check engine light only service engine light. Misfire went away after replacing spark plug.

Idc 2023 is gunna be the year I own one. Idk if that includes this year as well but I know for sure
I just got the HR 2007 in January of 2023 and I have a Mk3 Fully built 1987 turbo Supra Stage 2 Brian Crower Cams Custom 2jz Intake style Manifold light weight flywheel Cube Shifter custom boost pipes an aftermarket front mount inter cooler eagle 🦅 Rods Wisco 9 2 1 compression Ratio greddy BOV completely stripped to almost 3000 pounds which is almost 200 pounds lighter than the Z which is a way smaller and shorter wheel base 20 years apart! I love them both the 6 speed and the R154 and Great Transmissions. And I still Love my Z and it’s ALL STOCK base model with an open differential vs my Supra but I love her just the same and she’s an NA! Buy one you won’t regret it…
bought a 2003 350z touring with 50k miles for 16k a few weeks ago, and i agree it is a high price for the car but man its so much fun.
brought my parents, bought a nice all black 350z with around 140k miles, but it had only 2 owners and was kept well maintained since it was used as a daily, and i got it for 6k. I bought it last week.
Just got my red 350z back it’s my second time having this car in my ownership with 120,000 miles for 5,000$ I’ll never let go again. It has all the goods tastefully modded with stock experience other than duckbill.
Just picked up my 2nd Z, an 04 Roadster w/130k miles...Love it!

How much did you spend?
The gas price is about 10 bucks per gallon here in Germany, but I‘m still flooring my 350z on every opportunity given. Like you said, it‘s just awesome driving this car and still definitely worth it.
Überlege mir eine so kaufen, bei wie vielen km. sollte ich bleiben bzw. worauf sollte ich achten beim kauf, und wieviel denkst du werde ich bezahlen
@@silerium6778 Also ich habe 14k bezahlt bei 90.000km mit Premium Pack und DE-Motor, Preise sind seitdem sehr gestiegen.
Der Roadster ist im Vergleich mega billig in Deutschland, aber mir gefällt die Karosserie/der Look des Cabrios so gar nicht.
Ich würde schauen, dass du einen um die 100k km bekommst, da wirst du noch ne Weile Spaß haben.
Du musst aber aufpassen, bei ca. 120.000km müssen die Ventile neu eingestellt werden, ist nicht gerade billig das machen zu lassen.
Definitiv nachfragen, wenn er die 120.000km erreicht hat.
Auf jeden Fall bei der Probefahrt prüfen, wie sich der Öldruck verhält. Wenn das Auto warmläuft sollte er im Optimalfall ca. 35psi haben im Stand.
Da auch die Drehzahl beobachten, sollte im Stand bei ca. 800 rpm liegen.
Wichtig beim ersten Kaltstart ist auch, ob ein Klackern vom Motor kommt, definitiv überprüfen, das willst du nicht haben.
In den Motor schauen, ob er gewaschen wurde oder man viel Öl sieht. Wie viel er im Endeffekt verbraucht ist mehr oder weniger Glückssache und wie ehrlich der Verkäufer ist, die 350Zs schlucken schon mal gerne was. Am besten die Rauchfarbe am Auspuff anschauen, wenn die ein bisschen bläulich ist, wird auf jeden Fall ein bisschen Öl mit verbrannt.
Bei den Revup-Modellen soll das wohl am schlimmsten sein.
Am besten sind natürlich unverbastelte. Ich hatte beim Kauf einen Lackdickenmessgerät dabei, damit kann man sehen, wo eventuell was verspachtelt oder repariert wurde, gut um heraus zu finden, ob das Auto mal einen Unfall hatte.
So fern wie möglich mal die Reifen quer stellen und dir unten alles ansehen. Schauen nach Rost, Verschleiß der Bremsen usw...
Wenn du grade stehst, teste mal die Türen, die fallen gerne von alleine zu. Das Material des Innenraums verkratzt sehr schnell, ist aber nur ein optisches Problem.
Fensterheber gehen auch gerne kaputt. einfach mal beide hoch und runter machen und beobachten, wie schnell diese sich bewegen.
Bei meinem Modell waren die Xenon-Reiniger kaputt, habe ich erst einen Monat nach dem Kauf gemerkt, check das auch mal, gibt es einen Knopf für links unter dem Lenkrad.
Ansonsten halt alles checken, was du bei jedem anderen Auto auch prüfen würdest.
Checkheft, Wasser in den Leuchten, Kratzer, Dellen, Funktion der Lichter, Funktionen generell usw...
Auch darauf achten, wie alt der Fahrer und und wie er wirkt. Das Auto lädt nämlich zum driften ein. Dann auf jeden Fall Kupplung, Getriebe und Achsen anschauen.

Just picked mine up yesterday. 63k miles completely stock for 16k
Picked up an '08 w/ a standard transmission and 153k miles on it back in May for $9,000. It had a few issues that needed to be addressed and I'm still chasing down a check engine light for an O2 code, but other than that it's been an excellent car.
I bought my 08 HR 53k miles for $10,200 back in 2014
I'm saving up for my first car and I need help deciding if I should get the 350z or the C5 Corvette. They both are luckily available near me however I'm completely new to cars.
Lookiing at the current market....id say yes if u find a clean one under 15k with u der 50k miles as value goes up alittle more than it did kast 8 months that i looked

I have a 2004 touring with 115k miles, bone stock and legit no rust on frame! Only a bit in the rear quarter panel but I got a junkyard piece for $50 to replace it with. Someone offered me $8k cash for mine but idk if I should? It’s the touring model, no mods, no issues and 6 speed. What do you think? Should I sell? Currently insurance is killer, I’m 24 years old and pay like $300 a month. I barely drive though, only like 15 miles a day. Would you suggest I sell? Or should I just keep it since it will go up in price

My 06 with 66k miles just blew its engine... vortech sent a defective supercharger kit... but hey at least the owner is willing to replace my engine but man am I worried what condition it will be... my old engine was babied so much 😭
YES! New car prices are stupid, and besides it is hard to find a car without all that lane keeping, sensing electronic CRAP! Even in the base model? A new windshield 6000 grand! Plus 350z's are absolutely fun to drive. They are large go carts and anyone who knows how much fun a really fast go cart is, knows what I am speaking of. So many ways to customize one to your own liking and a never ending "aftermarket everything's" to choose from. Hard to find another car so supported by the aftermarket world.
Plus there are still some very low mileage ones out there to buy. My 2004 only has 53k+ miles on it. It does not burn any oil, it runs like a top. I wouldn't sell it for less then 20k all day long. There is so much support for them as well, everything and anything that does go wrong with them one can find someone to explain how to fix it yourself.
Yes 350z's are worth their weight in gold in my opinion, in fact, any well taken care of vehicle that is pre sensor land is worth having. More so when they have such a large following, easier to find parts and support. They are just fun to drive.
Have you driven the HR 350 it fells like night/day compared to my old g35 coupe rev up
Their prices have skyrocketed by about $5000 for a decent 100k mile with no accidents or rebuilt title. It's hard to find any below 15k now.

Pretty mint deal dude, that car should have over 200k miles based on years, I got a Infiniti M35 w the same engine and it had 79k when I bought it and it hasn’t give me any problems (yet at in well over a year) and I’m in the process of e tuning it now

I need your advice or any Z lovers! This dealership is selling a 350z 05’ touring with 149k miles for 10.9k and out the door with fees 12,349k and i managed to get it to 12k flat ! Is this a good deal? It’s in good condition it has bbs rims and a updated intake system? Idk if im over paying or not 😅

how did ya get the break lights to flicker?
This car was mildly rear-ended at the beginning of its life and the previous owner put these flashing brake light modules in! I think they just plug and play with the taillights wires. I haven't taken them out yet, I think it's kinda cool that they flash when I hand out the gap :D I appreciate you tuning in man!!

Quick question aren’t you afraid of doing redline pulls ? You should do a video about doing redline pulls because I have a HR 2008 350z and I do redline pulls once a month lol does doing pulls put wear on the engines life span?
if u r up on maintenance there is no worry. if ur doing redline pulls for like 45 mins something is guaranteed to wear down…

My 350z doesn't have the cruise control buttons. It is a base model, with no TC/VSC either. In other words, it's the best Z for drifting/burnouts if you weld the diff, but not if you want to have a flame map and switch between maps with the cruise control buttons! Really appreciate you tuning in!!
