My honest opinion as a christian guy dealing with same sex attraction . He should have not married. but I do understand the circumstances he was in making that decision. In the end we all as human beings should take accountability for our own decisions, because GOD is the only one able to judge us as believers. My fullness of my identity is not for me nor humans to deside what I am... it is only God who can do that. And God says (Romans 8:17) we are sons and daughters we are heirs of the Kingdom of God. My sexual orientation is NOT my identity, my true identity is far beyond that. And for the sake of a healthy fear of God I choose to live a celebate life, because it honours the word of God, it honours my fellow believers and it honours my body which is the temple of God. This is a personal decision formed by my own experience, not forced by any religion or peer pressure. All I hope is that all believers find peace , hope , freedom and Love in Christ.
Taking away the elaborate supernatural infrastructure that you've fabricated to justify avoiding doing what's necessary to ultimately resolve the issue you're dealing with, the decision to lead a celibate life may seem to be a less worthy endeavour than you've made it out to be in this "protesteth too much" testimonial.
@jacegil God did not make you that way. The fall of mankind did! If you blame anyone it should be Adam and Eve and don't forget Satan! God does love you just the way you are, if he didn't he would not offer you the FREE gift of salvation and eternal life. Life is short , eternity is forever.
"For some strange reason, the church could ruin just about everything for us, but that they couldn't take our real experience of the divine." Whether you are LGBTQI+ or not, God loves EVERYBODY whether you like it or not!! Amen.
God loves everybody. How exactly does He do that? And where do you get this idea that God loves everybody. You seem to know Him. Or maybe you think you know Him. Your comment doesn't say much, honestly.
I'm a non-believer who, as a boy, sang in a church choir but can't remember ever believing that there was a God, especially given the terrible things that were being done in his name and despite him supposedly looking over and out for everyone. If so, why do so many in the world suffer incredible misfortunes and mistreatment. The teachings of 'God' in all faiths is based on love, forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, tolerance, and inclusion. The problem is that those people responsible for the formation and oversight of the various religious 'organisations' base their beliefs, not on the 'word of God' but on their personal prejudices and this is reflected in the uncompromising attitudes of these religions. They cast out those who do not fit their idea of what is their interpretation of their 'God's word'. After all, religious books which tell you how to behave and think were written predominently by men based on their prejudices and experiences. If you believe in God, love your life as you believe your God would want for you and not as others interpret what you are meant to do.
This is a cautionary tale. If you're gay, accept yourself, your nature, and don't try this because you are involving others, will sooner or later have to admit defeat. Shame on anyone who tries to convince gay men that marriage is the cure.
Pip's description of his efforts to change his orientation through prayer and Bible reading sends chills down my spine - that was my path too, and I remember wondering why everyone else were heterosexual for free while, for some reason, something was wrong with me. Thank you for having the courage of telling this story.
I remember utterly pointless it was to pray for it to go away. We all did it when adolescence came. God was either incapable or unwilling to make me a heterosexual. Either way it was so wonderful to embrace honesty.

This documentary changed my life. I am a 16 year old and was previously a catholic. I was struggling finding acceptance in the church being gay. When I discovered the Anglican Church through this documentary, which is very similar to Catholicism with the exception of it being affirming of lgbt rights, I felt something shift. I finally found acceptance with my Christian Faith and coexisting with my sexuality. When I turn 18 in 2021 I plan on fully converting to Anglicanism. Thank you Pip for changing my life, your story helped me finally be at peace
Hi my sister! I am not part of the lgbt community but I want you to know that God loves you and I support you! I was also previously Roman Catholic but I felt unaccepted there as a person of a minority so I somewhat understand the pain but not to the extent you felt it probably. God bless you
Please if you are serious about it, I encourage you to go to confession and learn what the church really teaches about homosexuality. You may have a misunderstanding o what the human is and how the church is involved with the salvation of souls. Know that you are called to be a saint, that is more than our natural state. You cannot ignore that the catholic church is the only church our Lord founded, be serious on your discernment. I am praying for you!
God makes us, guides us and loves us! Being Christian and being Gay is totally compatible. Listen to the words and love of Jesus, not the interpretations of men and if need be find the right congregation that accepts you for you. Don’t let others guilt you or bring you down, live in love and peace.
I hope you reconsider your conversion and your faith. Believe in God because God exists. Believing in God because it fits conveniently with who you want to have sex with is an illegitimate reason for faith. It's no different than sales people who join a church so they can try to turn the congregation into customers. It's unethical. If God exists then God exists and if God does not exist then God does not exist. God's existence does not depend on your sexuality. Please don't deceive honest believers into thinking you're a brother Christian who has genuine faith when your faith actually rests on who you're sexually attracted to
God loves you the way you are. Don't fall for the negative sides, keep praying to god, and keep working on your life; and most important, your relationship with God.
Human effort could never match the righteousness of God. That is the reason Jesus died in our stead - that is why God's grace is invaluable. And Jesus Christ understands that we are not infallible. Anyone trying to say that there are people who are not worthy of the love of Jesus Christ are just modern-day Pharisees. Not even they in all their Mosaic Law & order were exempt from needing forgiveness from God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. For ALL have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God. Christ came to call the sick & the unloved that they may experience the mercy of God. 💛

God loves all of his creation, but our sin separates us from God. He is calling us daily to repentance, turning from our sin and being back in communion with Him. We all struggle daily, but it's worth it!
I’m a SSA young man convert to Catholicism and I must say that though my sexuality is part of who I am, it is not the core of my identity. As a religious person my identity is first with Our Lord Jesus and His Church. I encourage anyone who wants to know the actual stance of the Catholic Church on homosexuals to read the Catechism or to hear talks which are available in this video platform given by Fr. Mike Schmitz.
I am aware that the video is not directly related to the Catholic Church. I just wanted to show another point of view from a religious person who is SSA. Also the fact that the person went to a congregation merely for their acceptance of his sexuality in my opinion is not a good sign. I converted from a church who could have accepted this behavior to the Church who teaches otherwise. I converted because I had to surrender to what had been revealed to me. The Most Holy Sacrament. It should be said that according to the Church beings SSA is not a sin itself though acting on it is. God bless you.
Schmitz tells people Catholics aren’t allowed to even go to gay weddings as guests. This from a man whose brother is gay. I used to think this was pettiness but this is a deep deep sickness in many Catholics. On this issue the church is unnaturally disordered and must repent of its mortal sin. Many of the hierarchy will burn.
THE SINS THAT CRY TO HEAVEN FOR VENGEANCE 5 . They called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to your house tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intimacies with them." 6 . Lot went out to meet them at the entrance. When he had shut the door behind him, 7 . he said, "I beg you, my brothers, not to do this wicked thing. 8 . I have two daughters who have never had intercourse with men. Let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you please. But don't do anything to these men, for you know they have come under the shelter of my roof." 9 . They replied, "Stand back! This fellow," they sneered, "came here as an immigrant, and now he dares to give orders! We'll treat you worse than them!" With that, they pressed hard against Lot, moving in closer to break down the door. 10 . But his guests put out their hands, pulled Lot inside with them, and closed the door; 11 . at the same time they struck the men at the entrance of the house, one and all, with such a blinding light that they were utterly unable to reach the doorway. 12 . Then the angels said to Lot: "Who else belongs to you here? Your sons (sons-in-law) and your daughters and all who belong to you in the city - take them away from it! 13 . We are about to destroy this place, for the outcry reaching the LORD against those in the city is so great that he has sent us to destroy it." -- Genesis 19:5 - 13 True friends don't let friends get sodomized!

Pip has gone through real pain. He obviously missed some critical male bonding when he was young. But he and his ex-wife are very confused and are causing much damage to themselves and others.Example 1The fact of a man craving his wife is NOT about objectifying her. Married sex between man and wife is about mutual self-giving where two literally become one. It is an icon of the Trinity. It is so precious to God that He enables the couple to become co-creators.That is NEVER possible with same-sex couples.Example 2While God may operate in unexpected ways, He NEVER contradicts Himself. He has an established order that humans are duty bound to abide by.What He wants from us is simple: that we love Him back and abide in His will. That's it.What He wants is for us to do these things so we can get to our true home, the one He has prepared for us. Don't trade the eternal banquet that is our true inheritance for the temporary potato chips of this world.
Thank you so so much for covering this. I have just begun on my journey with Christ and being almost 20 and gay has been really scary. Such a powerful and moving documentary that breaks the shackles of the conservative evangelical movement ... What a breath of fresh air to feel God’s love and grace for all!
This story is so heart breaking. I am a believer and even though I would not be able to say that gay marriage is okay, I do believe that everyone should be allowed in church. The bible says that every sin is equal so if we don't allow every sinner into church, what kind of church are we? We all have fallen short of the glory of God and we are called to love God first and everyone else too. How could anyone be denied the love of God and be called to repentance if they are shunned when they are seeking God? I love that the church truly has a "Come as you are" attitude. In that respect, I agree.
@@wendymitchell8245 I went to church before I was a Christian. I was invited by a good friend and I eventually repented. Not every sin is equal. Some are worse. You wouldn't consider lying to be as bad as adultery, or saying something insulting to be as bad as killing someone.
Why do you use Catholic symbols, ie., statues, rosaries, etc., when you are obviously not Catholic much less a Catholic priest? Any genuine message which this story tried to convey was swept away by these false pretenses. Which leaves one major conclusion to the storyline. That is, “Catholicism is bad, retrograde and does not accept “us”. Whomever that “us” may be. This story seems to be just another jab at Catholicism. Furthermore, regarding a statement made by the reverend. Something to the effect that the church should celebrate people. The question is, has he ever sought delievrance from this oppression?? Many have been delivered from the same. Many! There are many deliverance ministries who go to the source of the problem and the person is freed from the oppression. This is not a natural condition, but spiritual in origin !!! Those who sought spiritual help found it, instead of trying to deal with it on their own in their own way, which is a futile exercise; and being angry at someone else. This is a result of spiritual oppression, evil spirits. Deliverance help is available from those who know how to deal with such matters.
Sorry, but all this crap about the "spirits" and such is utter rubbish and your claims about people being "delivered" is dangerous nonsense. Joe Pepe there is nothing God like in the life he is living. The bible explicitly states homosexuality is wrong. You can search for a “church” that says your sin is ok, but you’re just fooling yourself.
Understand. Completely. Done the journey. 33 years ago. Found Christ 37 years ago. Or more - He found me. Even more so now - I have Him and He is so - SO clear He has me. On the day I came to faith - at this new place called church - I said to them - but I guess you guys don't approve of homosexuality? Then. Great days of discovery. And everything was - of course possible. And marriage. God was in charge. And the church would help me through. Until the 'therapy' and healing - didn't bring change. And that day - eight years into marriage when my wife turned to me in my 'counselled to death self' - and said - 'if I can't have a husband I must have children'. By the mercy of God - we were to fail at that. The IVF failed. Thank God. And then I said - no more. I am gay - and I must accept that - come what may - even though you cannot. I gave my wife everything we had. House - everything. Found a room. Church removed me from all ministry. No one would talk to me. It is still against the rule of that church - ie therapy is offered. So. Separated. Divorced. Utterly broken. But a friend invited me to a group of Christians coming out - coming out of ex-gay - and just looking to Jesus. That was enough. IE - Jesus was 'enough'. He is. I have a new life. With a partner of 16 years now. We are happy. I haven't a church because I no longer live in the UK. But I have God - and the Holy Spirit just won't let up on me - us. He is faihful - when I am faithless. What we have needed - even when it seemed absolutely impossible - it has been given. Miraculously. Like a house. Even. When I had no money to afford it. But most of all - I have God. He is enough. Entirely. Abundantly. John 10:10. Hold fast to Christ. Don't be discouraged. Yes 'church' will fail. But faith. And hope. But the greatest - of course - is Love.
Phil Lynch THe Spirit will guide us into all truth. The ancient Tradition of the Church is the the Spirit leads us by guiding the decisions of the community of faith: the bishops, priests, deacons, and laity who prayerfully meet in faith to discuss issues and listen for the guidance of the Spirit. The idea that anyone at all can read the Bible and whatever’s written there is the way things have to be is a relatively modern invention, developed by the Protestant reformers when they threw out the faith as it had existed for 1500 years and reinvented everything. Modern Evangelical Protestantism is a human invention, a radical reinterpretation of Christianity, and because of that, it has led to the reappearance of all the old heresies.
Wf Coaker if you are suggesting that God’s word can change, you are gravely mistaken. God is eternal. That means His word and actions are forever. Any reinterpretation is heresy. Both the Old and New testaments confirm homosexuality is a grave sin. We don’t get to reinterpret this. Remember Jesus said He came to reaffirm the law not abrogate it.
Parts of this was hard to watch for personal reasons. This was a wonderful short doc and I wish each one of you the very best. Its amazing to have a place to develop your faith and someone to go home to.

Of course this video is going to raise controversy. Christianity and homosexuality reconciled? In the past, when I heard negatives comments about homosexuality, I usually remained silent. Not now. If you are NOT homosexual, why don't you invest your time and energy in something more productive rather than playing the role of God, quoting the Bible and judging other people. Does it make you feel more powerful and better than others ? Now, if you ARE homosexual or have someone near you who is, probably you need reassurance, love and inner peace or help. Some have lived most of their lives in shame and guilt. A horrible burden. And that hasn't help them to fix the problem. To find a community that is supportive is important, like the guy in this video. However, the bottom line is to find peace and acceptance inside ourselves. And believe that God somehow is going to make you live a life worth living.

I read it in Hebrew and Greek. As a Baptist, my faith is grounded in Jesus/the gospels; all the rest is commentary to be read and understood in the context of the ministry of Jesus. @@mikazofstrum3268 Where is your husband? 1 Timothy 2:12 is pretty clear on the subject of speaking out against men - and the priest you continually rage against *is* a man. Where is your husband? Why are you breaking your own Biblical law?
E T well I think you assume you are interpreting 1Timothy correctly, obviously out of context and with the eyes of a modernist. Well, try if you can, to imagine the context of this letter from Paul. If you read the interpretations from the Catholic Bishops or Orthodox Bishops ( those with authority from Christ to interpret these passages), you will see that this refers to either a rebuke of a specific case in the Ephesian church and the establishment of proper conduct. Men are to conduct themselves with honesty and without judgement. Women are to learn in a peaceful manner without quarrel. Both men and women are warned against displaying the arrogance of Eve. Now, you make two errors in your argument. One, you mistake Paul’s instruction to a specific situation, for a universal teaching or code of conduct. To be able to ascertain Paul’s overall message, you have to see what Paul’s total message is. Remember Paul also states the “we are all one in Christ.” Two, your rebuttal to my argument is invalid. This is because my argument states that one must be consistent with Christian teaching to call yourself a Christian, which the subject of the video fails to be. You establish a red herring by comparing my apparent lack of adherence to Christian teaching to my claim regarding this video. This still does not address the content of my argument. Let me help you. You could be valid if you questioned whether or not Christianity actually teaches the doctrine that practicing homosexuality is sinful. That would force me to prove the point. Question my adherence to the faith does not do this validly.
Amazing...this is both my and my brothers story. We are both Christian, married to men, in ministry, and in our 70's. I'm gay and I understand how you cannot change if God does not change you. Just based on what I saw I can assume that the love he found seems good, but the church seems to cater to homosexuality instead of Jesus. I mean, there's a man dressed in women's clothing. Church is not a drag bar, it's a place to listen to the word of God, worship and pray. Seems like a circus to me.

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:1, 3-4 NKJV II Tim 3:16 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. By faith you are saved, but by what kind of faith is written in hebrews 11. And your statement that without the priest: no authority. Where does it say that? Yes God uses apostles to help built churches, but apostles are still part of the body of Christ and not more than any other human being. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19 NKJV Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you. Titus 2:15 NKJV Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. Luke 9:1 NKJV not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us. II Thessalonians 3:9 NKJV We are the temple of Christ, the body of Christ. Not a building. We can use a building to come together and celebrate was God does in is, but it is not the place where He dwells: Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. Regardless...these words ...whichever you all refer to...have been rewritten way too many time and adopted into the Christian Bible. We are all children of God , a benovelent God . How could a father condem his child, son ,to eternal damnation for loving another man when they both remain faithful to their God. God is Love, God wants us to Love . One nice thing about Christianity in the Western World is that there exists a wide range of churches with varied beliefs. One can always leave a church that is not the right fit and find one that is. No-one should stay in a church that is psychologically, emotionally and spiritually damaging.
By the same token, it kind of underscores the fundamental lunacy of the project given there are literally thousands of different, competing versions of "the truth" - often times at odds with one another about the "correct" interpretation of their ancient tales.
@@MRayner59 The same can be said of any ideological group, be it religious, political or social. Once a group becomes large enough, people's being what they are, there will always be schisms and divisions within it.

The Bible was written by men, to suit mankind living more than 1500 years ago. The fact Christianity has survived till now is surprising in the light of science. We now know It took hundreds of millions of years to create the world we live in. We can trace "creation" by dating rocks and fossils: from the early ammonites, to fish, to amphibians, to reptiles and then mammals. It took apes 2-3 million years to become "man" as we know it. We knew none of this when we listened to Jesus and saw him crucified. God never told us the evolution story. It then took 300 years to write the Bible (on an estimated 360 calf skins for the first edition). It would have been rewritten and corrected many times in the process - improved and adjusted by a plethora of "wise men" with changing ideas, interpretations, special needs and diverse cultures (but with no science/psychology knowledge). The fact the Bible survived till now with all its naivete speaks more about people's psychological need for comfort, hope, direction and a reason for being, than it does the Truth. Remember, it was written before man discovered that Earth was round, or that ours is one of thousands of universes. So in that knowledge vacuum, the Intelligent Design theory hinges on Adam and Eve who had four sons (no daughters) three of whom found wives (perhaps their mother). And later, other improbable yarns like the one involving Noah and his Ark. Jesus and the apostles obviously didn't know about evolution otherwise the Bible would have given God credit for it. In fact, God could have explained a lot of things through Jesus (including that many animals are naturally attracted to the same sex and that it is impossible to change their orientation). Too late now. The Bible "cannot be changed to suit man", so we must interpret it. Islam has a similar problem. The Koran advocates stoning homosexuals to death but in a poll of Muslims in London recently 30% disagreed. Similarly, Christian Fundamentalists won't let anyone queer their pitch. It's hellfire for all homosexuals and the Devil is in charge of it. The Catholics kicked Pip out as if he was a philistine. Understandable given the "One True Church's" reputation. However, a more pragmatic brotherhood, the acute Anglicans, who must have put the Bible's thesis up for queer review, noticed a few anomalies and decided to let Nature take its course. They hired Pip and made him a priest. For all the gay Christians or parents of gay or transgender children out there, I can hear them now: Praise the Pragmatists.
Sean Livingston I’m not sure if you’re joking, but obviously it is, what makes men better pastors than women? Also there’s many religions with female preachers/priests get with the times
For the life of me, I don't understand why homosexuals act like they can't control themselves. I'm married but yet I'm still attracted to the opposite sex. It doesn't mean that I'm going to tell my spouse one day that I must leave you and live out my truth. I notice that someone is attractive, and I keep it moving. I don't lust after them, I don't fantasize about them, and I don't leave my spouse for them. I'm not a dog controlled by my every impulse. I'm a human being made in the image of God, granted self-control by the Holy Spirit.

@@janepatton8100 I maintain that most religions are used to puff up the egos of their followers. There is very little substance to validate any of the claims of the various belief-systems, therefore it is a moral duty to resist outlandish claims that some people are "bad" because they are gay. It simply isn't reasonable and what would an all-knowing, all-loving entity such as "God" be if not reasonable?
I feel for this family, but I have to say nowhere in the Bible do I see Mary or Jesus advocating for their rights, for justice or for their happiness. Yes, God is love, but that love is sacrificial - it's not one that celebrates self-love and gratification. I know everyone is on their journey, and I hope that what I wrote is read with love, as it was intended.
Throughout the Bible, Gay people are referred to as eunuchs, naturally born eunuchs. Now, in Matthew 19 when Jesus is teaching about marriage, in verse 11 he said, "All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12 "For there are some eunuchs, which were born so from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be some eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of Heaven's sake: He that is able to receive it, let him receive it."
j8u2 I don’t think you know what a eunuch is... (hint: they’re missing essential pieces of their male anatomy). There are birth defects (intersex) where children are born without all their reproductive organs, and there were people who were made into eunuchs (usually slaves or servants in influential households)

The purpose of church is not "to celebrate who we are," but to celebrate Who God is. It's not to live "our best life" is this world, but to live for Him, exalt Him, and we can only do that through Him after accepting Him as our Savior.
He's an Anglican priest not Catholic, so it's not that big of a shock. Anglicans are more tolerant of the LGBTQ community. And coming out as gay in the church is one thing, but drag queens flaunting themselves in church is a whole other story 😩
There was talk about hanging the San Francisco lifestyle flag in the church and adding more colored stage lighting for the man who wears makeup and women's dresses. Can you not understand that selling homosexuality in a church is an injustice to the worship and honor that Christ deserves in His House? He sacrificed His Body to save us from eternal death. His Sacred Heart was pierced for our transgressions.
Barb Wellman You misunderstood me and jumped on the judgement wagon. I didn't say I was condoning any of their behavior. And I don't need preaching to. I'm a practicing Catholic.
Well, what it comes down to is, there are two camps. Bob Jones Sr. Said this in the 50s. Group one believes the Bible IS the word of God, Group two thinks the Bible may contain some of the words of God. Group one will follow the Bible. Group two will pick the parts they like and change what they don't accept. I'm not judging either camp; just saying these two viewpoints can't ever agree on this because it is a fundamental belief that will affect literally every decision you make.

I hope you reconsider your conversion and your faith. Believe in God because God exists. Believing in God because it fits conveniently with who you want to have sex with is an illegitimate reason for faith. Pip has gone through real pain. He obviously missed some critical male bonding when he was young. But he and his ex-wife are very confused and are causing much damage to themselves and others.Example 1The fact of a man craving his wife is NOT about objectifying her. Understand.
The Church was founded by Jesus Christ and isn't open to a vote to validate whatever we want to do. We follow God's commands for true peace and joy.
Wf Coaker very true!

We are the temple of Christ, the body of Christ. Not a building. We can use a building to come together and celebrate was God does in is, but it is not the place where He dwells:
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Remember the Bible it cannot be changed to suit man.
That’s hilarious because humans ignore many parts of the bible to suit their horrible behaviors
Exactly

For the life of me, I don't understand why homosexuals act like they can't control themselves.
I'm married but yet I'm still attracted to the opposite sex. It doesn't mean that I'm going to tell my spouse one day that I must leave you and live out my truth.
I notice that someone is attractive, and I keep it moving. I don't lust after them, I don't fantasize about them, and I don't leave my spouse for them.
I'm not a dog controlled by my every impulse.
I'm a human being made in the image of God, granted self-control by the Holy Spirit.
Sounds like you can't tell Apples from Oranges if you can't see there is no equivalence between these peoples story and your misleading comparison.

Please explain how it's different.
Oh how arrogant to make onself the model of how others should live their life.... but then again, such arrogance is the very core of many religions. Your comment is nothing but self-serving pride.
@@princefrei
Your comment is self-defeating. By judging me, you are doing exactly that... making "oneself" the model of how others should live their lives... and think.
How arrogant of you!!!
@@ellyclaire1996 I'm not sure why you would assume that I don't know this. I have a Master's degree in social work, so I've had more classes on gender identity, human sexuality and human development than the average schmoe. I'm fully aware of what a eunich is and I'm fully aware that nobody in this documentary is a eunich, a hermaphrodite, or an intersexed individual. Not really sure what your point is other than perhaps assuming that you know these things and nobody else does, which of course is a false assumption
@@ellyclaire1996 I apologize Elly, I see that you were responding to someone who responded to my original comment and not me. He's not super off base by quoting this verse though, it's often used as the basis for Roman Catholic's vow of celibacy for priests - eunuchs not in a physical sense, but those who choose to be celibate for the sake of the kingdom.
I can see the wife is been supportive, but also she seems to be lonely, is hard only one is happy ☹️
She can love again
The purpose of church is not "to celebrate who we are," but to celebrate Who God is. It's not to live "our best life" is this world, but to live for Him, exalt Him, and we can only do that through Him after accepting Him as our Savior.
Don't marry wrong
I wish you the best! As an Anglican I am proud the people like you are opening the doors of walking with Christ. I am thankful for The Right Reverend Gene Robinson for standing tall during very tough times.
Blessings, David +
Sin leads to death and disorder.
There is only one sin: the belief in separation.
Death is for EVERYONE. ...NONE escapes it.
So whether you Sin or Not - You Still Will Die.
@@aiseakonrote5381 We as Christian talk about the second death. Jesús himself speaks about it in the gospel. Those who die in Union with Him will have everlasting life those who die in mortal sin will suffer damnation. This is specially true for believers for they knew and heard the good news of the gospel. May Christ have mercy on all of us.

"Read no other book" that's not ok. Im so glad he could free himself from this self-torture and what he called "anti-intellectualism" No one can take your faith away from you. I knew the Anglicans would take him in. Love that branch of Christianity.
Shame it's not the right branch.
Protiti Khan do you even care that it’s against God’s law? You are only concerned about promoting your own will. This is the same arrogance as the original sin. The belief that your desires are more important than God’s.
@@mikazofstrum3268 I'm an Atheist so no I don't care. I believe that faith can be a force of good until it starts telling followers not to read and learn what God has given you a brain for doing. I believe people cherry pick their religious texts all the time so why not ignore the thing that has been proven incorrect, that sexual orientation is not a choice.
@@thepianoman6958 lol! Christ should have mentioned which branch he wanted yall to follow before he left.
Protiti Khan from your perspective then, you have a good point if your premise is correct (that sexual orientation is not chosen). However, my argument was based on those who, like you said, pick and choose their own beliefs. This person and many commentators claim to be Christian but ignore most of it’s doctrine. You may disagree with this doctrine but can’t ignore their false adherence.
This man is my hero.
This is my story. ..i thought i was alone. Thank you so much.
Alys, you are so not alone. Try to find a loving progressive church where you feel safe. The Anglican church has been striving to be that. In our community it is the bastion of Christ's radical love for people of all backgrounds.
Sending you loads of love! Stay strong!
@ Mira Celeste The people of Sodom and Gomorrah were progressive too, now their in the lake of fire...
@@breny3 i do not wish to live according to my orientation. ..i am catholic and want to submit to the church's teaching and scripture....but it just helped to hear of another person's struggle to be the spouse they wanted to be because of their orientation. I love my husband dearly but fail him daily because i cannot give him the physical intimacy he desires because of the ptsd and selfhatred that arises if i do. I grieve deeply for not being good enough. To know I'm not alone in that gives me comfort to my soul.
Forget Catholicism, it’s teachings are pagan. Get yourself a bible and read the New Testament, ask god to help you understand it and give you wisdom. God completely transformed my life by simply reading the bible and praying everyday. I suffered with severe depression / anxiety for 25 years. God healed me completely after 2 months of praying and reading. God also showed me sins I needed to repent of. Once I decided to get rid of sin in my life that’s when things really started to get better. Don’t despair. Jesus loves you and is waiting for you to cry out to him. Let him transform your life.
I like the Anglican Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Both are welcoming to All Gods Children.
That's because they have apostatized.
Are we all God’s children?
We were all Gods creation, but not all are His children , read the bible , we only become His children when we accept Jesus Christ , when we are guided by the Holy Spirit and not by the flesh ( our own desires) when we live by what the Word of God teaches us, anything else is a lie from the devil
The Bible is not an authoritative source. It stumbles upon truth occasionally. Truth is universal and no one faith holds it exclusively.
@@stewland1 The Bible is the authoritative source. It is from God. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by me"
