The Crown Platinum is Amazing. so many great features. 340hp, AWD. JBL sound system, newer technology etc. This is top tier Toyota. quality and reliability

When you match the specs to the Lexus 500h to the Crown Platinum, you save almost $15k by purchasing the Crown. It is almost the same vehicle yet the Platinum provides better mileage??? I agree with you. The Crown is confusing when the XLE and Limited follow the Camry and Rav4. But the Platinum to me is all about the Luxury and power to the L500h with a cheaper price and 6 drive modes which the L500h does not offer.
Not true.... the Lexus LS is a whole new whole for a whole new kind of wealthy buyers... maybe you can buy a pre-owned Lexus LS500 for $53,000
The crown might be good but please never compare it to the LS, that car is good when you see it but once you own it for just a week you realize what people are missing out on
@caxtoneokoth5618 No worries ... I returned the car back to Toyota. I will never Buy either car again for many reasons not addressed here but the main reason I have no interest on either car is this. You are more important to me than these cars.

Those two little pieces that stick out on the rear of the Crown are vortex generators. They disrupt the airflow to reduce drag, and that improves mileage (probably by about 1 mpg).

I just saw one at the Dealership. In gray. 🔥 looking car on the outside. I did want more in the interior, it was pretty basic.
We have a 23 Crown and believe it or not average mpg 46.3😉

Nice comprehensive review! This Crown looks like nothing else currently on the road. However, Toyota could do more work on the interior; too much plastic for a car in this price range. The Avalon's interior was more upscale; Lexus-like. I agree that the automakers are trying to shove the EVs down our throats. But this Crown Platinum trim appears to be the real deal. I like the Bronze/Black two-tone color combination or the Red/Black. Watching in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas! ✌️🎉🇺🇸🇺🇸👏💪
Thank you for the comment and compliment! I agree - the outside looks great, and the inside has some room for improvement. However, with EV's being shoved down our throats, I do like how Toyota gave us a nice hybrid. EV's aren't the future, hybrids are (in my opinion) and so is hydrogen (down the road)

It's NOT an "oh, poop," handle, child. It is an assist handle for entrance and exit.
Profile is fire. Front grill is awful tho. Once they fix that I think it will be perfect.
Why would anyone buy a Chrysler is beyond me when you can get a much better engineered and reailable Toyota.....🙄

$53,000????? Hold up!!!! Wait a minute..... Excuse me..... that's Lexus RX price territory......or Lexus ES realm.... too much...too high...too expensive.... I can spend that $53,000 on a PRE-OWNED Lexus LS500.....which is 100X better built, excellent craftsmanship, best in every thing else than this Crown
The Crown Platinum comes standard with AWD and 340 horsepower, goes 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and gets 32+ mpg ... so it will spank your used Lexus.

Good question.. Just looked it up and didn't find anything.. My guess would be 110 MPH.. But that could definitely be wrong

Not sure why someone wouldn't just get a Lexus at $55k! These prices are downright ridiculous and Toyota seems to think they are a luxury car brand now. Trust me, I love Toyota's, but they can't even build them and are forcing people to buy other manufacturers cars.

Love the car but sorry not a fan of the shifter. Have a RAV4 and it has the "indent" shifter and you know when it is in gear because you are physically moving the shifter into the gear you want. It also has the pull up manual parking break. This is hands on driving, the way driving is supposed to be.These new electronic shifters are not for me. sorry. I grew up on a farm where you operated the equipment, it didn't operate you.
