Okay, now we talking! :D Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen, she is Dutch) has classical background, rock academy behind, and used to be a vocal coach for a number of years. Floor is the most versatile and powerful female singer today and can sing anything from more pop-y style, classic opera, to metal screams and growls. Floor is a queen of singing emotions. Floor joined Nightwish in the middle of their Imaginaerum world tour in late 2012 (which includes this show from August 2013). Previous singer, Anette Olzon (she's currently in Dark Element) left the band while they were touring, and there was no certainty what to do with all the upcoming shows. They called Floor (her previous band did tour with NW in the past, and they knew each other). Floor flew immediately to help them out and temporarily replace Anette for the rest of the world tour. She arrived two days before the next show, and she had only 48 hours to learn the entire setlist. And she did. There is official documentary about all that -- "PLEASE LEARN THE SETLIST IN 48 HOURS" ( th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html ) For Floor it was first really big gig with Nightwish, 82K people, at the time she was only for a few months with the band. After the world tour (in October 2013), they made Floor their official member. This song was performed at the end of 90min show, at the 1hr 10min mark. As I already said in your Noise video, Nightwish formed in '96 in Finland, initially with Tarja (Tar-ya) Turunen as a vocalist. She left the band in 2005, and Anette Olzon stepped in, until 2012. The bassist with a cool beard is Marco, and he sings some parts too. He has his own solo project outside the Nightwish. The mastermind behind 99% of lyrics and music is a keyboardist Tuomas. Guitarist name is Emppu, and the drummer in this show is Jukka (Yukka), but later he was replaced by Kai Hahto because of health issues. Flutes/uilleann pipes/guitar/vocals - Troy, he did not perform in this song. Nightwish is better live, always, so if live performance is available, go for it. In their performances, they often using recorded backtrack of a classical orchestra for their songs. They have very diverse music, from more light songs to epic scores like this, and to really heavy metal stuff. For the next Nightwish experience, I can suggest listening to: -- Storytime from the same Wacken 2013 live ( th-cam.com/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/w-d-xo.html ) -- for move heavy: Ghost River, Song Of Myself, both from Wacken 2013 also ( th-cam.com/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/w-d-xo.html ) ( th-cam.com/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/w-d-xo.html ) -- If you want to explore more Floor versatility, check out her performances on a TV show Beste Zangers in 2019: (Lady Gaga's Shallow for ex.) ( th-cam.com/video/M68pe4a_9zk/w-d-xo.html ) Can't wait to see the continuation of your NW journey! ;)
You're correct about _almost_ everything. What isn't mentioned is that when the Denver Debaucle happened, in Sept. 2012, Floor was with her sister, at her sister's wedding. The reason why Floor didnt join the band until October 2012 is that Annette sang at Salt Lake City, for her final show -- at which point, Tuomas called her a second time, and Floor jumped on a plane. And yes, she did learn a whole setlist in 48 hours -- 15 songs. Additionally, during this tour, she played Buenos Aires, Argentina -- arguably just as big a concert as this one. The difference is, in this concert, Nightwish was the headlining band for Wacken Open Air -- which, for Floor, was a huge hurdle to overcome, as her burnout wasn't even a year old yet. And to sing this concert in front of 82,000+ people? Props to Floor for taking her shot -- and knocking it not just out of the park, but into orbit. And on top of all that....Floor wasn't even the official singer yet! That decision hadn't been made yet, as it was made after M'era Luna Festival, later that month (August 2013).
Her voice cuts thru the heavy sound of the band like a hot knife thru butter. This song is Floor's favorite to sing, she once again confirmed that a couple of days ago talking to her fans and answering their questions. I suggest you react to "Everdream", Wacken 2013, so you would have some kind of an idea of the vocal skills of the bassist Marko Hietala! Floor and Marko together on vocals complement each other so perfectly. Hi from Helsinki Finland!
Boom indeed! Loved your reaction. A real show of genuine astonishment and pleasure. Nightwish are like Pringles...once you pop, you just can't stop. Enjoy the experience. I think this version of Ghost Love Score is one of Floor's best, if not best, vocal performances. It is flawless.
I was at this concert in Wacken at the time, and I had goose bumps all over. Ghost Love Score was one of my favorite songs for a decade, but I really heard it for the first time at this concert. Greetings from Germany

@@infin8reactions Ha-ha, good comeback!! :) …. As to the lyrical meaning, always remember that, although the songs are written for a female voice, the story is actually about Tuomas's own heart. He is the keyboardist and genius composer of the music, the orchestrations, and the lyrical poetry. In this epic score the "ghost love" is a story of unrequited romance. Thus the "ghost" is not referring to a lover who has passed but to what is essentially an imaginary lover for the writer because the real woman that is the object of his romance isn't interested. So his infatuation and obsession is, in effect, directed at a "ghost," a conjured up version of the real person. And, yes, the "siren from the deep" is a metaphorical reference to the sirens of lore, temptresses who lured sailors to their watery death. An overriding theme of the band is that of being "Ocean Souls." You will find very much common imagery woven throughout all of Tuomas's lyrics as you explore them. The ocean souls theme is one of them, but another is that of Tuomas referring to himself as the innocent child inside his heart that never wanted to grow up but now has lost his innocence at the hand of the cold, cruel world, generally in the guise of romantic tragedy. You will also often hear him refer to himself as the "dead boy," meaning not literally dead (although he DOES commit virtual suicide in one Edgar Allan Poe themed song you'll get to eventually) but that his heart is dead: the passion, the romance, the love has been crushed with sadness. This is best seen in the older song from the deep vault "Dead Boy's Poem." This version is best: th-cam.com/video/S8E3L7ggLMM/w-d-xo.html
Hahaha Daria...you are 100% right. It happened to me also when I first listened to one of NW's Sleeping Sun to Ghost Love Score to Romanticide to..to...to... and I am now in trouble choosing which song is the best. All NW songs are the best.....
Thank you, finally live! now you get why we told you to go live! This video is recorded at Wacken 2013 and the whole consert is amazing! check out and react to "Ever Dream", same band and same consert.
Man i'm 53....raised on rock and metal but somehow this band passed me by, until lockdown 2020. Now I am hitting their back catalogue on vinyl, checking out interviews on youtube and have got tickets for Wembley in December ( hopefully not postponed ) I am now a 53 year old fanboy.
Nightwish’s 6’1” Valkyrie, Floor Jansen, NEVER hits a bad note. She’s ruined me for listening to other singers. I always think, nope, not as good as Floor. 😂😄🤘
Sorry to disappoint you. See th-cam.com/video/TYrHULfsfHU/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/Jmm4RAP7abI/w-d-xo.html for counter examples. I love their music, but nobody's perfect. Don't take it the wrong way. You can probably find examples of just about every band/singer. :)
Actually, I do know a bit about quantifying music, and the skills of different vocalists -- and one of the few vocalists, if any, that can even approach the "apex" of Mt. Floor is Brittney Slayes, the lead vocalist for Unleash the Archers. (If you're a fan of UtA, you'll see what I did there, lol.)
Okay, there we go 😁 🤘 Congrats on your first Floorgasm 😁 "This is my favourite song from them" is gonna come out from your mouth several times in future😁😁 You can take any song from this concert, you won't disappoint. Romanticide is heavier stuff, so is Song of Myself Storytime is very catchy with good energy Ever Dream has lots of high vocals... just pick one, they all good 😎
This song is a love song. One of the best I've heard, honestly. Floor sings this song with pure emotion and passion (it's her favourite song). She was only about 10 months into touring with the band at this time. Also, this song is around an hour into an almost 2 hour set. Recommendations: Storytime live at Wacken 2013, I Want my Tears Back live at Buenos Aires 2018, 10th Man Down live at Buenos Aires 2018, Romanticide live at Wacken 2013, Pan (official lyric video), Dead Boys Poem live at Buenos Aires 2018. I would say do The Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley 2015(Arena, not stadium), but I think you should wait for that one and do a bit of research. There's a backstory that makes the song and performance incredibly emotional.
@@infin8reactions Better now than never. I've been a fan since 2010, but I didn't fully fully dive into them until early 2018. I was lucky, since the end of that year was one of their concerts for the Decades tour at Wembley Arena. Best concert I've been to.
You have a new sub, for two reasons. First, anyone who reacts with such joy to NW deserves a sub, and second it's always good to hear a northern accent on th U-toobz :)
Nice reaction! GLS is the most reacted to song, in the history of music reaction videos. A bit ahead of Jinger Pisces. As Nightwish is the most reacted to artist or band in the history of music reactions videos. FYI:There were 82,000+ in the audience. It is the 13th of 15 songs that NW performed that night. I would recommend either 'Ever Dream' or 'Storytime' from the same concert for your next Nightwish reaction. Floor is the 3rd and still current female lead singer of Nightwish (est. 1996) She had been with the band for little over 10 months at the time of this concert on 03 August 2013, when she was 32. She started performing in her first Metal Band, After-Forever at the age of 16. After that band disbanded, she started her own band called Revamp. Which was on hiatus, when she received a call from Nightwish to take over the female lead singing duties mid-tour. The rest is herstory.
Welcome to the Nightwish Army. You've been drafted. Your tour of duty is FOREVER. Nightwish IS best experienced live, as you now know. Floor is our Valkyrie Queen. Please pay her proper tribute in your vids. She is most deserving. That is all. DISMISSED! Peace, bro. Great reaction. :) Romanticide, Dark Chest of Wonders next, same show.
great reaction mate, one of the Nightwish barmy army here, been listening for 21 years now, and oh my god you have so much more to come live, every song you will be saying, yeah thats my favourite now, they are unsurpassed live, and yeah Floor sings consistently like that all the time live lol. Try "Everdream" from Wacken or "Storytime" from the same concert, prepare to jump down the rabbit hole my friend, the Nightwish Army will guide you and see you right :) - subbed
Other great songs from that Wacken 2013 concert to check out- Song of Myself, Storytime, Ghost River, Dark Chest of Wonders. Enjoy and welcome to Nightwish!
Tuomas Holopainen is the gentleman on the keyboard, he composes all the music and writes all of the lyrics for Nightwish. All his songs are from a masculine perspective, and each act of each song tells a part of the story he's weaving together. He's genius. Each song has a deep, complex meaning that's worth the research.
Thanks for your kind words regarding my reaction dude!! Yeah I've been messing with audio all last weekend to get it perfect as possible! Thanks for subbing too 😁🤘
Floor Jansen...one of the best...if you want to see just her quickly react to "Bestes Zangers Phantom of the Opera Floor Jansen" ...happened about 6 months ago...it will set the bar for the rest of the Nightwish reactions you do. The journey has just started.

@@infin8reactions To understand what's "beste zangers " all about I would recommend this channel; th-cam.com/users/jenniezelfvideos because there are English subtitles, so you can understand what they are saying before and after each song.
That is correct, because Nightwish are one of those rare bands. That sound a million times better live, than they do on any of there studio recordings.
Nightwish's songs are usually open to interpretation. Tuomas (the band's keyboards player and main songwriter - he writes 95% of all music and lyrics) is a poet and his mindscape is intricate. My interpretation of it is that this is about unrequited love. Ghost Love Score = the score of a love that never was / does not exist. The song goes through several stages, much like grieving : 1. The lover and the beloved meet, then the lover begins dreaming and longing : We used to swim the same moonlight waters Oceans away from the wakeful day //...// Scent of the sea before the waking of the world Brings me to thee, into the blue memory 2. The lover longs and is inexorably pulled towards the object of his affection, unable to resist even if it leads to their destruction (Sirens are creatures in Greek mythology who lure sailors into reefs, to their death) : A siren from the deep came to me Sang my name my longing Still I write my songs about that dream of mine Worth everything I may ever be" 3. The lover's vulnerability is revealed against their the pull of their emotions. The romance is depicted as almost a godly figure, magnificent but cold and cruel: The Child will be born again That siren carried him to me First of them true loves Singing on the shoulders of an angel Without care for love ‘n loss" 4. The lover is lost, unsure what to do as the beloved is out of reach. All they have is their own feelings, dreams and memories: Bring me home or leave me be My love in the dark heart of the night I have lost the path before me The one behind will lead me" 5. As lover's plea remains unanswered, the romance turns to obsession and suffering: Take me, cure me, kill me, bring me home Every way, every day I keep on watching us sleep Relive the old sin of Adam and Eve Of you and me Forgive the adoring beast 6. And finally, acceptance and eternal devotion: Redeem me into childhood Show me myself without the shell Like the advent of May I’ll be there when you say Time to never hold our love All the while, the lover is aware of but powerless against the fact their unreturned feelings will lead to their destruction: (chorus): "My fall will be for you" (choir which is repeated throughout the chorus): My fall will be for you My love will be in you If you be the one to cut me I’ll bleed forever There you have it :) That was my analysis of Ghost Love Score.
The clip was shot a few months after Floor jointed the band right in the middle of their US leg of the world tour. They asked her to join after tensions between the previous (Anette) vocalist and the rest of the band had rissen so high that they fired her. With close to a year still to go to complete the tour, and their next concert planned 2 day later they, needed a replacement fast. They called Floor because she had toured with them when she was part of the support bands"After Forever" and later "Revamp" on several occasions and they were quiet impressed by her vocals (who would not be?). She only had 2 days, including a flight from the Netherlands to the US, to learn the setlist and only had one rehearsal with the band a couple of hours before her first show and nailed it. Since they were making a documentary about the world-tour a lot of what happened was recorded. The documentary is called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" (th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html ) As a next song to take a look at i would recommend their masterpiece "The poet and the pendulum" live at Wembley. Before you take a look at it i would recommend to take a look at the backstory of this song. This will make you appreciate it much more. here is the link th-cam.com/video/gbn9GczYBkw/w-d-xo.html
Romanticide, Storytime, Ghost River same concert , try to do live they have no bad songs/sets their Albums are Masterpieces but every Nightwish fan can’t wait for their live interpretations and performances. Wearing earplugs at gigs is absolutely sensible if you still want to have decent hearing later in life. Ringing in your ears afterwards means damage has already been done. I have been wearing plugs (dedicated ones with special filters that don’t block the frequencies but reduce to overal DV’s) since the 90s to gigs. BTW, you pause a lot at really awkward musical moments. Oh, and invest in a adblocker. Oh, the song is actually written about the doomed relationship between Nightwish keyboardplayer and the original singer of the band.
where it said or written that it is written about doomed relationship of Tuomas and Tarja. can you direct me to the article or interview. never seen one.
Can I also just say, I do need to pause and add my own content at various places in every reaction video so that it qualifies for fair use, if I don't put enough of my own content in then you tube blocks the video straight away and it doesn't get aired. Just so you know 🤘 oh and I will get an adblock 😁🤘
Thanks so much, I'd rather dive in not knowing because that's the best way to get a feel for the sound and makes your reaction 100% real!, Thanks for watching and commenting 😁🤘
I'm so proud of Nightwish. After all, we have something good here in Finland. This music makes me so happy. I've seen them now 7 times, including Wembley arena gig🤘🇫🇮
Yes we all are. It's so nice to watch these reactions, especially when the reaction is for the first time hearing Nightwish. There is a plenty of songs witch are so good. You should try next Storytime from Wacken 2013. ( The whole concert is amazing).
Hi from deepest Berkshire. Subbed to see your journey down the deepest rabbit hole around. I've been a fan for nearly 20 years and they still astonish me. Always do live where possible, but some (of their best) songs they can't or won't play live. They haven't had chance to play the magnificent new double album live yet due to the virus. They should have just started a world tour, and were coming to the UK this year 😢
Nice reaction, I'm glad you like them, hope you continue the journey. A little suggestion : since it's really hard to understand the meaning of a song while listening to it for the first time, you could reserve the lyrics interpretation at the end of he video, after reading it quickly? Nw lyrics, are really good and they worth the time spent reading them.
This is one of those rare bands that's even better live than in studio. The first song you reacted to, Noise, was off their newest album... due to obvious reasons there's no live version and probably won't be one for a while. But take any of these older songs, especially from Wacken 2013, and you're sure to be blown away.
Nightwish Wacken 2013, you simply cannot go wrong with any song from that show and given that Floor had only been with them for a few months when they played its even more remarkable (check out the "learn the set list in 48 hours" video about how she was parachuted into the band half way through a US tour).
Uk army there's a great journey occurring for you 👍 & I'm going to watch enjoy the greatest band around & their myriad of high quality tunes & stage shows 👌
The greatest show on earth live from Tampere is very very good! Make sure to listen on when the band finishes playing because a part of the song comes after that!
Floor and Marko also perform in Ayreon. Floor on many albums of Ayreon, both in the first live concert: Ayreon Universe live. Many very well known metal and hardrock musicians perform on the albums and in the two live concerts. See channel of Arjen Anthony Lucassen; he is Ayreon.

Ah... the song that is usually the foray into floorgasms. :) Loved the reaction. The only thing about NW that the Army can't wrap our heads around is when people don't like them, lol.
The "Traditional Route" Is Ghost Love Score > Romanticide > Storytime > Song of Myself (All Wacken 2013) > The Islander (Tempere) > Kiss while your lips are still red > Yours is an Empty Hope > Poet and the Pendulum (All Wembley ) > Greatest Show on earth (Tempere) Go Forth, have your mind blown.
Ok, I think that I have a "problem" at this point.... because this guys reaction is like the 38th reaction video that I have watched of Nightwish, and I don't think that I can keep myself from watching these at all now... LoL. This band's talents, & Floor's Godlike vocals, are just inherently emotional, moving, and AWESOME! Yeah, I definitely have a "problem", I am a total Nightwish addict....
Enjoyed your reaction. Sometimes it is difficult on first hearing to catch all the lyrics and meanings. On some of these live videos if you turn your subtitles on, the lyrics will be displayed along the bottom of the screen. Subtitles were available for this performance.
I've been their fan since 1998, and I still don't usually know, what the hell the lyrics mean =) Tuomas is like Nostradamus in that way. It sounds really awesome, but one can "decode" the lyrics in many ways (I could have put "interpret" there, but I think it's more like decoding).
Hahah the m so glad it's just not me who thinks this, music is always open to interpretation even if you know the facts, other words could be relateable in a different way to someone else 🤘
I found that the more you listen to NW the better you get at understanding the lyrics. Tuomas is not a songwriter, he is a composer. Tuomas is not a lyricist, he is a poet.
welcome in symphonic metal and the Nightwish's world ! Floor the goddess is incredible not only in technics because she project so emotions when she sing. A great women and a great band. For more, take a look at her performances in the TV show "beste zangers 2019". She did 8 songs in differents styles and language and demonstrate that she can sing everything. By the way, do you know Epica ? it's another european band of symphonic metal. You can start with the live for the 10 years anniversary (and 2 duets with Floor as guest). I suggest: "Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live Retrospect show" and "EPICA Design your universe/Retrospect live" [take the 9:57 version] (more epic) !
Ooooooo!! The Nightwish rabbit hole for you, it's a really exciting ride, you'll enjoy it. You enjoyed this didn't you. . . . . Now, Tuomas (keyboards) is a Finnish composer who writes in metaphorical and allegorical English, you really do have to work at the lyrics if you want to and in places it is absolutely essential to get the full effect as he intends. If and when to get to things like The Greatest Show on Earth and The Poet and the Pendulum then the army will help. Incidentally Tuomas has a great affinity with the ocean and any references to a poet or a boy, then he is speaking of himself. It's like film music? Well spotted, Tuomas is a huge fan of film scores and especially Hans Zimmer. . . . . . . . . . . .Expect the unexpected ! You have a very great deal of material to get through and each one is amazing and fits an album theme, but always do the live versions. Have fun and enjoy, welcome to the Nightwish World, it will not disappoint.
Tuomas’s lyrics are often deep and enigmatic. I wouldn’t try too hard trying to analyze them on a first listen. Just enjoy the magnificence of the music and Floor’s singing. Let it wash over you!
Great reaction. If you stick with Nightwish live you've got a magical road ahead. Especially with Floor Jansen on vocals. Take care my friend. See you on your next reaction to Nightwish. Peace.
Your next song will be different and the next and the next. The beauty of the content of each song is that there is always more to see and hear next time round. Don't worry if you don't get it first time round. Some songs hide their secrets over many listens. (Some poor souls never get it as they can't see beneath the surface. There are a lot of metaphors.)
Tuomas's lyrics are full of the ocean, fantasy ( he reads lots of fantasy, plays Skyrim), really deep emotional personal stuff, literature, angels and all sorts of stuff about evolution and creation. He is the Devonian Sea.
This is a great one to get to know the band. Can't really tell you which one to watch next as they are all great. Enjoy the journey Maybe do Romanticide next before you take on the the other 2 songs of the holy Trinity. The Poet And Pendulum and The Greatest Show On Earth. Just love when an add comes in. The look of surprise 🤣🤣🤣
There's just one rule with Nightwish reactions: Always react to their live versions (if they exist, and they probably do, except for their latest album) By the way, my suggestions for reactions are (in no particular order btw): - Shudder Before The Beautiful life @Wembley 2015 (awesome solo) - Dark Chest Of Wonders @Wacken 2013 (opening to this show) - Greatest Show On Earth @Tampere 2015 (take your time with this epic 20 minute masterpiece) - Storytime @Wacken 2013 (one of their best performances) - The Poet And The Pendulum @Wembley 2015 (another epic, but do a couple of others first and be sure to read up on the story behind this one. Trust me, it's important to be able to understand the meaning. It's deep and heavy and beautiful)
Glad you liked it! 😊 🎶Their music gives all the emotions you can imagine, and they all are great musicians. Their music is wonderful. It also variates a lot, they have their folky-metal side, symphonic metal side, trashy-side, softer style etc. I always find something new from their music. As you already maybe know, they have been around over 20 years and Floor is their 3rd singer. 😊🥰
🤗 nice reaction! Welcome to Nightwish! If you are interested in more: check Floor Janssen doing a duet with Henk Poort, the Phantom of the Opera, or the Poet & the Pendulum 😁 I have always thought this song is describing Tuommassed soul (long time ago), but that my interpretation.
Thank you!! I love how open to interpretation music is, you get everyone's take on it which is brilliant! I've already got those songs on my list don't worry! Thanks for watching 😁🤘
This whole concert is epic. Song of Myself, Ghost River, Romanticide, Dark Chest of Wonders from this same concert Wacken 2013. Actually you really can’t go wrong with any of their songs.🤟🤟✌️✌️
Just a quick info that while the Wacken 2013 show is fantastic and every song worthy of a reaction, the HD versions out there tend to be incorrect (slowed down) speed, unless they're posted by Nightwish/Nuclear Blast. I'd pick the official live videos or the non-HD version to get the full experience like it's meant to be. Although not super obvious to a first time listener, it does have an effect on how the music sounds. This only applies to Wacken2013, other concerts are fine. Have fun on this journey my friend.

There is official documentary about all that -- "PLEASE LEARN THE SETLIST IN 48 HOURS" ( th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html )
For Floor it was first really big gig with Nightwish, 82K people, at the time she was only for a few months with the band.
For the next Nightwish experience, I can suggest listening to:
-- Storytime from the same Wacken 2013 live ( th-cam.com/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/w-d-xo.html )
-- for move heavy: Ghost River, Song Of Myself, both from Wacken 2013 also ( th-cam.com/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/w-d-xo.html ) ( th-cam.com/video/cAwtzi7Q3Bk/w-d-xo.html )
-- If you want to explore more Floor versatility, check out her performances on a TV show Beste Zangers in 2019: (Lady Gaga's Shallow for ex.) ( th-cam.com/video/M68pe4a_9zk/w-d-xo.html )
Can't wait to see the continuation of your NW journey! ;)
Wow that's a lot of information! Thank you! I shall brush up on my studies, thanks for watching 🤘
I think her voice would cut through industrial machinery noise, she's amazing! 😁🤘
☝️ ☝️This, 100%.
Ever Dream is a unique song, even within Nightwish's catalogue.
Haha thanks mate, couldn't believe her voice the first time I heard this lol
I was at this concert in Wacken at the time, and I had goose bumps all over.
Ghost Love Score was one of my favorite songs for a decade, but I really heard it for the first time at this concert. Greetings from Germany
I'm from Florida, very jealous, I've seen many big bands, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Stones, etc. I would trade any of them to see Nightwish!
Been to a Nightwish concert in Toronto back when Tarja was singing. Shockingly small venue but loved every minute of it.
@@miltonxwing9800 A small venue also makes it a bit more private ^^ A couple of the most beautiful concerts I have been to in front of 500-1000 people, in churches, or in castle courtyards.
@@dana7325 Unfortunately you can not see all the bands in one life :( Sometimes I look jealous in the USA and other countries, and how many great bands appear there. These also come to Germany.. but the cards are gone in 5 seconds. I already have Seen 7 times Rammstein, but never Pink Floyd or The Stones :(
@@miltonxwing9800 A small example ^^ There are many of these festivals. And many beautiful concerts at night. Only Corona destroyed everything this year :( th-cam.com/video/iVcJ3INNGPw/w-d-xo.html
When you hear more, you have trouble to decide which is best.
I'm having trouble now, nevermind later 😁🤘
@@christomashofski9160 brilliant comment🖤
Thank you, finally live! now you get why we told you to go live! This video is recorded at Wacken 2013 and the whole consert is amazing! check out and react to "Ever Dream", same band and same consert.
I'll be doing the whole concert mate , thank you 😀🤘
Its so funny and cool when people see the Nightwish videos BEFORE seeing them live......lol.........just PRICELESS !!!!!!!
I was not prepared mate!! I'm still not ! 😂🤘
That last note... Floor's lungs personify two rocket boosters during take-off.
Yes ! They absolutely do!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to react to Nightwish, it seems you're enjoying it
Oh definitely mate!! Whole heartedly!! 😁🤘
Not all heroes wear capes.
Floor Jansen: hold my whiskey.
Haha you're never too old to discover music dude!! Keep on rocking 🤘
Nightwish’s 6’1” Valkyrie, Floor Jansen, NEVER hits a bad note. She’s ruined me for listening to other singers. I always think, nope, not as good as Floor. 😂😄🤘
Makes me look forward to more!
Niels de Groot . It’s a crap recording on some crappy phone mic. Just unlistenable noise.
@@nielsdegroot9138 Not sure what your point is. The recording is bad, but she still hits the D6.
We are loyal army and we are lead and commanded by our queen FLOOR, ARISE NIGHTWISH ARMY,
Okay, there we go 😁 🤘
Congrats on your first Floorgasm 😁
"This is my favourite song from them" is gonna come out from your mouth several times in future😁😁
You can take any song from this concert, you won't disappoint.
Romanticide is heavier stuff, so is Song of Myself
Storytime is very catchy with good energy
Ever Dream has lots of high vocals...
just pick one, they all good 😎
Thanks so much, she absolutely knocked my socks off!!
@@infin8reactions Best to leave 'em off - it saves having to pick them up every time. 😉
I don't doubt it! As a first time listener I am totally blown away I'll add those songs to the list 😀🤘
@@infin8reactions Better now than never. I've been a fan since 2010, but I didn't fully fully dive into them until early 2018. I was lucky, since the end of that year was one of their concerts for the Decades tour at Wembley Arena. Best concert I've been to.
Yes, I agree baby ( Marko Hietala at the end of Wacken concert).
@@pete70 *Yeah baby, I agree
Also, I like sausages.
You have a new sub, for two reasons. First, anyone who reacts with such joy to NW deserves a sub, and second it's always good to hear a northern accent on th U-toobz :)
Ha ha thank you so much! And thanks for the sub, you can't not smile at this music, it's incredible 😀
Thank you a much! She is absolutely amazing! Thanks for the nw army initiation ! 😁🤘

Thank you so much, you nightwish guys are so amazing and so freaking nice!!!!
She’s the best female singer there is, her voice goes straight to the soul 😍
I cannot disagree at this moment in time, she's incredible!!

That is correct, because Nightwish are one of those rare bands. That sound a million times better live, than they do on any of there studio recordings.

To make it more mind blowing that was the 13th song of the set. It was about 75 minutes in, and she pulls that off.

Another Great Nightwish performance is their live performance of the greatest show on earth in Tampere! You really need to see this😉
Deffo!! As soon as I'm done with Wacken 😁🤘
The song goes through several stages, much like grieving :
1. The lover and the beloved meet, then the lover begins dreaming and longing :
We used to swim the same moonlight waters
Oceans away from the wakeful day
//...//
Scent of the sea before the waking of the world
Brings me to thee, into the blue memory
2. The lover longs and is inexorably pulled towards the object of his affection, unable to resist even if it leads to their destruction (Sirens are creatures in Greek mythology who lure sailors into reefs, to their death) :
A siren from the deep came to me
Sang my name my longing
Still I write my songs about that dream of mine
Worth everything I may ever be"
3. The lover's vulnerability is revealed against their the pull of their emotions. The romance is depicted as almost a godly figure, magnificent but cold and cruel:
The Child will be born again
That siren carried him to me
First of them true loves
Singing on the shoulders of an angel
Without care for love ‘n loss"
4. The lover is lost, unsure what to do as the beloved is out of reach. All they have is their own feelings, dreams and memories:
Bring me home or leave me be
My love in the dark heart of the night
I have lost the path before me
The one behind will lead me"
5. As lover's plea remains unanswered, the romance turns to obsession and suffering:
Take me, cure me, kill me, bring me home
Every way, every day
I keep on watching us sleep
Relive the old sin of Adam and Eve
Of you and me
Forgive the adoring beast
6. And finally, acceptance and eternal devotion:
Redeem me into childhood
Show me myself without the shell
Like the advent of May
I’ll be there when you say
Time to never hold our love
All the while, the lover is aware of but powerless against the fact their unreturned feelings will lead to their destruction:
(chorus): "My fall will be for you"
(choir which is repeated throughout the chorus):
My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
If you be the one to cut me
I’ll bleed forever
There you have it :) That was my analysis of Ghost Love Score.
Greetings from Florida!
Thanks mate, greetings from the UK 😁🤘

The documentary is called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" (th-cam.com/video/vhExkmWKMEU/w-d-xo.html )

Wearing earplugs at gigs is absolutely sensible if you still want to have decent hearing later in life. Ringing in your ears afterwards means damage has already been done. Nice reaction, I'm glad you like them, hope you continue the journey. A little suggestion : since it's really hard to understand the meaning of a song while listening to it for the first time, you could reserve the lyrics interpretation at the end of he video, after reading it quickly? The song is about a love that doesn’t exist. It’s a tribute to some of Marcos favourite prog bands (Jethro Tull, Genesys, Yes).
This is one of those rare bands that's even better live than in studio. The first song you reacted to, Noise, was off their newest album... due to obvious reasons there's no live version and probably won't be one for a while. Nightwish Wacken 2013, you simply cannot go wrong with any song from that show and given that Floor had only been with them for a few months when they played its even more remarkable (check out the "learn the set list in 48 hours" video about how she was parachuted into the band half way through a US tour).

@@infin8reactions Yes, and members of Nightwish themselves have stated this as well about their music.
I found that the more you listen to NW the better you get at understanding the lyrics. Tuomas is not a songwriter, he is a composer. Tuomas is not a lyricist, he is a poet.
Guylain Prince might be able to. Idk if he already did GLS. He an an Epica Series going when I last checked.
welcome in symphonic metal and the Nightwish's world !
Thank you and thanks for watching!! I will definitely check that singing styles video out, I'd be interested to see that 😀🤘
We are spreading the love 💕💕💕
Thanks so much for the info, I will deffo.do the live versions where I can! I know I've only scratched the surface but I'm hooked already 😁🤘
Tuomas’s lyrics are often deep and enigmatic. I wouldn’t try too hard trying to analyze them on a first listen. Just enjoy the magnificence of the music and Floor’s singing. Let it wash over you!
Yup, if you watch my latest reactions you will see that I've given up on the lyrics lol 😀🤘
Congrats on 50k Jackass 😋💞 you’ve worked hard for that lol
Great reaction. If you stick with Nightwish live you've got a magical road ahead. Especially with Floor Jansen on vocals. Take care my friend. See you on your next reaction to Nightwish. Peace.
Thank you!! I'm looking forward to it already !!! 😁
Lol..love it, Floorgasims never get old.
Haha I think I'm still having it!! 😂😂
I'd like to still hear my mates when I'm 80 years old. So yeah I'm one of those guys that takes earplugs to a concert. :)
Haha fair enough mate, thanks for watching 😁🤘
Tuomas's lyrics are full of the ocean, fantasy ( he reads lots of fantasy, plays Skyrim), really deep emotional personal stuff, literature, angels and all sorts of stuff about evolution and creation. He is the Devonian Sea.
Wow that's interesting to know, maybe breaking down nightwish lyrics will be too difficult in reactions then, I'll still listen tho, they are awesome!
This is a great one to get to know the band. Can't really tell you which one to watch next as they are all great. Enjoy the journey
Maybe do Romanticide next before you take on the the other 2 songs of the holy Trinity.
The Poet And Pendulum and The Greatest Show On Earth.
Just love when an add comes in. The look of surprise 🤣🤣🤣
There's just one rule with Nightwish reactions: Always react to their live versions (if they exist, and they probably do, except for their latest album)
By the way, my suggestions for reactions are (in no particular order btw):
- Shudder Before The Beautiful life @Wembley 2015 (awesome solo)
- Dark Chest Of Wonders @Wacken 2013 (opening to this show)
- Greatest Show On Earth @Tampere 2015 (take your time with this epic 20 minute masterpiece)
- Storytime @Wacken 2013 (one of their best performances)
- The Poet And The Pendulum @Wembley 2015 (another epic, but do a couple of others first and be sure to read up on the story behind this one. Trust me, it's important to be able to understand the meaning. It's deep and heavy and beautiful)
You should check the live version of Nightwish - The Greatest Show on Earth. This 20min. masterpiece is incredible.
Mate, check my nightwish Reaction playlist, I've got two greatest show on earth reactions, I did Wembley first then tampere
I loved it thank you! That means I've got a lot of back catalogue to work through, can't wait!! 😀👌
Welcome in Nightwish Army
Thank you!! 😁
From the same Wacken 2013 show, I recommend Storytime, Everdream, Romanticide, Song of Myself, and I Want My Tears Back.
🤗 nice reaction! Welcome to Nightwish! If you are interested in more: check Floor Janssen doing a duet with Henk Poort, the Phantom of the Opera, or the Poet & the Pendulum 😁
I have always thought this song is describing Tuommassed soul (long time ago), but that my interpretation.
Floor stands 6-1 (183 cm) in bare feet, 6-5 (195 cm) in the boots she's wearing.....audience of 82,000.....
Thank you so much for that info! I shall do the proper speed ones next 😁🤘
@@infin8reactions This one was correct speed so no worries, just thought I'd warn you thinking of future reactions. Looking forward to those!
Yay thank you so much, at least I'm doing something right 😁🤘
LOL!!! tried to dissect the lyrics but got lost in the experience.... awesome
Sometimes mate....you've just gotta hold your hands in the air and ride the wave!!! 😂🤘
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Nightwish.
Liked and subbed, now I'm curious what song your Nightwish experience started with. Will check that out tomorrow, getting late here :-)
Haha I didn't know what I was in for when I started nightwish... Shit got serious when I watched that live one!!!! Thanks for subbing and watching! 😁🤘
