- Almir made a joke about a mimic medic bag, so I absolutely psychoanalysed it and turned it into a special unit. Meet the faker, who will place down fake deployables around the map causing an explosion to any idiots who dare touch it.

God that sounds scary but cool. Like you are doing poorly, you run to the nearest cover and find a medic bag. Withought thinking twice you use it and 2 seconds later you die in a fiery explosion. If the faker is somewhere close you can even give him voicelines that react ti you getting got: "Got you, moron" "Are you blind or something? Makes my job easier." "Haha- Dumba**." It would give everyone cloaker levels of paranoia and im all for it
I like the idea to look out for ressources, tho i dont like the idea of heister calling it out, it would be funnier if their only distinction is via the nypd logo and if the faker is moving
This is pretty cool concept. It would be good if when you destroyed the fale bag, it would give you one of the coresponding recourse. So if you destroyed a fake medicbag, it would drop one medkit

If they ever add a medic, they should make it so the medic has a chance to deploy a medic bag that will poison the player if used.

Hear me out: The Faker guy should look like the guy from Crime Boss: Rockay City and upon being spotted by him he closes Payday 3 and automatically boots CB: Rockay City and you basically have to play the whole game to have a chance at playing any Payday game again

What if instead of exploding or stunning they each do something different if consumed?
Like a Fake medic bag or Fak will either do tick damage or give you negative grit (-10% damage resistance)
A fake armor plate could be consumed but break on 1 hit or be exploded by the faker either for damage, stun or gas
And A fake ammo bag gives blanks which you have to manually reload to get rid of
Its a interesting concept not gonna lie
The deployable actually being a bear trap it the case of the medic and armor bags would’ve been funny
I could only imagine the cocky lines this unit would have

Why not apply this to loot bags too? The mimic can drop random loot bags around the map that explode 3 seconds after you pick it up

My only issue with that concept is that the logo may not be noticable from every angle, and in the heat of the moment you may just not be looking at it from the right direction to spot that, so maybe something that looks off could be seen from all directions maybe? And additionally, they could make it so during interaction it looks like its the normal interactable, but at 50% of the animation being done, then it explodes or something.
The enemy thatd place these would also have to kinda be able to maneuver well to place these without suspicion unless they get spotted.
Locations at which the said enemy would place these would also have to somehow be figured out. If the enemy just throws them out everywhere itll look stupid and unconvincing, but if the enemy will be made to place these in specific spots, then it will be quickly learnt that these are fake, so im unsure how they could implement this while being convincing enough to players to not get screwed over by this.

People will just grow a habit of marking the deployable every time its a new deployable they interact with, this way they will never be fooled, so maybe lock that behind a skill.
Theres also that the enemy could place deployables where old deployables were that were used to fool people better.
Itd also somewhat synergize with cloakers destroying deployables

If this was discussed in a meeting for a game update, i'd bring up: the one problem i see in the game's design with it being explosives would be the hostage mechanics. Naders swap to non lethal grenades when there's an hostage around and cops swap to sidearms when they have shotguns and the likes to not endanger hostages further, how would this play along with this system? If there's no hostages around and the faker rigs the mimic up with explosives, what happens if the heisters then bring hostages around the location later on? Would he have to spawn in only after the hostage rescue team evacuated them? What happens if someone is running the "Menacing" skill and can make swats surrender on location, creating a new hostage after originally having ran out of hostages?
Quite a funny/hellish concept though lmao, sure would be interesting to see the people that devour bags like snacks get their face blown up out of the blue from one of these rofl

I would suggest few changes to Faker:
1. HP reduction from 175 to 150 on Overkill (All enemies, no matter if special or not, have the same ampunt of HP and Armor across all difficulties)
2. Add 70 Armor (For a little extra durability, so Faker won't be as easy to kill like Cloaker)
3. Diffrent Desing (My Idea is to make him wear a Hoodie, inestead of usual tactical uniform, alongside armor set similar to light SWAT, with few extras to make Faker stand out)
4. Deployable deploy order (My Idea is to make Faker to deploy an deployable based on player's needs, for example if player misses an Armor chunk, the Faker will deploy an Armor Bag)

@@jhondoe2139 …About that… A few months ago Starbreeze released a blog post saying that they’ve raised the enemy HP on Overkill. This becomes apparent when you have HUD mods that show enemy HP on.
I highly agree that the enemies shouldn’t have different health pools, but if he *does* get added then he’d have to follow the payday 3 balance system.
Again, I highly agree that enemies should just get smarter the higher the difficulty it is, and starbreeze really fumbled with this decision. Our opinion their choice I guess.

I just realized the synergy with high capacity weapons, using an lmg or pistol with extended mag will allow you to check deployables with less downside. It may even give the glock and other low damage weapons a useful niche

@@thisiskret Yeah, the boys in blue update seemingly broke their spawn cooldowns because one seems to spawn right after the other dies.
it would make you have to pay attention and by proxy be more engaged with the game. it’d add something else to be wary of and more variety to enemies.

@@khoo_lol the cops in 3 are all the same hp on all difficulties, but their damage output is increased.

@@khoo_lol they literally did no such thing. the famas can kill in 3 headshots with edge on every difficulty consistently, so long as you hit all 3.

I don't know why I thought they did so, and I've tried to find the blog post that said they raised the max hp on ovk but couldn't, so I guess I'm just schizophrenic lmao.
