As Jonathan is the keeper of firearms AND artillery I think it would be cool to see him react to armored core weapons, since its basically a mix of firearms and artillery just from the size of the mechs.
I imagine when Jonathan does one of these videos he gets to go around picking out guns from the collection like a kid in a candy store. Sounds super fun honestly

That being said, his selection is greater than probably all Americans and there will be a few full autos in the collection that he can use.

Bit of a weird one, but it would be cool to see Jonathan react to the guns in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Between the hidden gun from AC2, Cesare's gun from Brotherhood, the 18th century guns in AC3, Black Flag, and Rogue, the Napoleonic era guns in Unity, and the revolvers from Syndicate, there's a number of really interesting things from a huge range of history that he could talk about. Edit: And I even forgot to mention the artillery cannons in the beginning of Brotherhood, all the cannons in 3, Black Flag, and Rogue, and the Greek Fire from Revelations! Not to mention the Da Vinci weapons from brotherhood, like the machine gun. There are so many really interesting options to talk about from that series.

A lot of the guns in signalis are actually really similar to real life counterparts which is pretty cool. If i remember correctly, the Rhino or what is called the Sforza Bison in payday 3 is actually the revolver from signalis.
8:58 this actually does come into play ingame. Killings civilians cost you money in "cleaner cost" and makes the cops come after you harder with longer and more difficult assault waves, also during the art heist its mentioned that the paintings are very fragile but since I didn't try i don't know if that actually effects gameplay or if just for flavor.
On the art gallery heist you can destroy the paintings that require the USB key to deactivate the security on the blood tainted paintings. I've seen one go up in flames but thankfully it was one of the fakes
It’s really funny too because when people first got a hold of the gun in the beta, there were lots of people who were downing themselves because of the large radius lol
the weird regenerating ammo is an effect from the in game perk i believe, it's a buff that if the required action was done the effect will activate, payday is more of an RPG than a tactical shooter, which makes it fun and unique
a couple dozen or so M32's got sold as surplus to civilians a couple years ago. You just needed to fill out a form 4 transfer form for a destructive device and wait for the tax stamp. Now getting the projectiles for it is another whole ordeal.
The attention to detail on that 870 also extended to seeing light in the barrel as you rack it, but not to the chamber and bore being painted pink as well.

It sounds like for just the sake of making video game firearms realistically depicted, there needs to be an online museum that allows modelers to see everything important and distinct about the weapons they want to use.

Also since he's talking about wear patterns there, you'd imagine that even if someone could paint the inside of the barrel, it wouldn't last more than a couple of shots till it was stripped away or blackened by the combustion. Even the inside of the chamber where it's protected by the shells would get a lot of wear just from them going in and out, plus the heat.
As hes done more and more of these, he takes game design into account more and more. Which i appreciate. Sometimes devs get chastized for not making something realistic, when realisn in that context would have significantly hurt gameplay.
Hi, M14 guy here. Re: the M14 bolt hold open, in stock configuration it only operates to hold the bolt open, it is almost impossible to operate with your thumb or with a slap as it is a tiny bit of metal with no way for the user to get leverage on it. The MagWedge or similar aftermarket replacements for that part gives you a paddle that can definitely be slapped or operated with your thumb. I cant get in close enough on my phone to see if such a device has been installed in the footage.
Its a shame they didn't show Johnathon the game's MP7, it "HK slaps" the air where an mp5 charging handle would be on the empty reload. Would have loved to hear what he has to say about that
Fun fact about the Milkor MGL, you cannot recharge the the cylinders in a stop and go motion, you must charge the cylinders in a full 360 to have the weapon system cycle all 6 rounds.
As Jonathan is already wearing the distinct blue gloves I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a future addition to the payday gang as their firearms expert :P

Before anyone tries to complain about the incredibly small amount of guns compared to payday 2, understand that both games run on two entirely different engines. All of these guns likely had to be made from scratch since they couldn't just be ported over. We'll probably get back to payday 2 levels of guns but it will take time.

We actually do have suppressors that work this well now, where If you're using subsonic ammo, the loudest thing you hear is the gun cycling. Commercially available suppressor baffling technology has made huge leaps and bounds over just even a decade ago.

On the M14, it’s just a bolt hold-open device. There’s no good way to use it as a bolt release. The best, and really only way, is to simply pull back on the charging handle with no magazine inserted, or a full magazine inserted.
As a Heat fan, someone needs to give Jonathan a Nebula account with a linked Steam account with a Payday 2 infamy level so he has access to the retro AR preset with the integrated carry handle and clamshell handguard.

I’d say the M14 is one of the more chunky guns I’ve used. Surprised me how heavy the action and how stiff the mag release was on the M14 I used.

On the M14, it’s just a bolt hold-open device. There’s no good way to use it as a bolt release. The best, and really only way, is to simply pull back on the charging handle with no magazine inserted, or a full magazine inserted.
