    Pogacar is already one of the greats, looking at his age he could be the greatest of all time. Besides the fact that he is freakishly good, he also has some sort of star quality to it, which makes him appealing in every possible way. Combining all his abilities with the technology available to increase performance, he can be the guy to Change the sport dramatically, as the Next generarion of riders Will want to be " the Next pogacar".
    Pogacar is actually so good, that only himself could prevent him from keep on winning. If he refrains his efforts, riding less with his heart and more with his brain, relaying on his teamates a bit more, he Will be unstoppable.
    At the same time, we don't him to Change do we?

    True that the "Sky train" was incredibly BORING.
    That year when Wiggins won the TDF was probably the worst TDF ever.
    Happy to see Pogacar and some others ride with a bit of panache these days, even though it's still nothing compared to the races of last century.

      @tonyg3091 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Much as I love Big Mig…and I love him a lot, about the only reason he has won so many Tours were the crazy long TTs at that time. He could put 3 minutes into the second best in a TT and then just hang on in the mountains. If we had 2 or 3 TTs today, we’d be talking about how great Remco Evenepoel is.
      But yeah, provided he stays healthy Pog will win at least 3 more Tours. Maybe more.

  • @Mrwhomeyou
    @Mrwhomeyou 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    idk if I can agree to many of the talking points here, it ultimately comes down to how much stronger the top riders are compared to the rest of the field, or else none of these spontaneous attacking strategies would work at all. And you gotta remember that chaos is how most cycling races go, this "current strategy" never went away except on the very very very top races, all the other races pro and amateur are chaotic as always. The "sky train" was rare even in team sky days, most of all races were chaotic af

    This premise is wack. Everyone knows Vingegaard rode the Jumbo train to victory in 2022 and 23 same as Froome and Armstrong. This year Jonas's team is injured and so is he, but otherwise, they'd have tried to grind down Pog same as ever. Pogi before this year was not that impressive in the mountains. People that know about watts, different strentgh in the sport knows Jonas was way stronger in 2022 and 23.
      Futher more the 2023 UAE was a stronger mountain train than VISMA was. They had even the top 2 and 3 on the podium proving the point.

I watch it with open eyes these days and do not believe the top contenders are clean and for me I find it much better. I also don't believe the UCI is interested in a clean sport, they want to be seen to be doing the right thing but want the fast speeds and money. Jonas weighs 58 kilo. Armstrong weighed 75. Explains almost all. 17 kilo less uphill with more watts. Except how the ugly pedalling style of Pogi with 66 kilo beats all.

      Has it been confirmed if Pog' s weight is 66kg? Last year his weight was 66kg, but this year he looks leaner. It would be interesting to know his actual weight this year vs last year.

    Next year Pogi will be put to his place. Vingegaard is the best rider, and Pogi knows it
