She absolutely loved it, was asking if we could go back again the next day but as they had a sleepover and didn't go to sleep until 2:30am, not surprisingly they wren't up for it 😃
Lol, my Mum still tells a story of when she and your Mum were kids and your Mum and your grandparents were visiting. They had been sent to bed but it was summer and light nights and they were giggly and wouldn't go to sleep. They were apparently singing 'Mockingbird Hill' loudly which goes "Tra-la-la, tweedlee dee dee it gives me a thrill, To wake up in the morning to the mockin' bird's trill." And either my Gran or Auntie Mary had shouted up the stairs "I'll come up and give you a thrill in a minute if you don't go to sleep"! My Mum still laughs about it 70-ish years later. I wonder if your Mum remembers... @@Stopadoodledoo
Watching yours and Christian's vids, it was evident the kids had a great day..which brings a smile to the dads faces! Mountain bikes are ace! Great vid mate.
Thanks mate. I knew Sara would like it but I was surprised by just how much she loved it. Only problem is that I'll now end up riding at Degla quite regularly 😂
Great day mate, they proper laughed on the downs and exploring, and kicked off on the climbs 🤣 How they even have any energy left after this was beyond me! Yet they did 😭🤣 Sara got it right it should be called the 35 mile climb! Top day, and a top video of it.
Best day ever 😃👍 Yeah, the 35 mile climb was a bit of a moan fest but even then, they were giggling a fair bit at the many thousand breaks we took on the way up 😂 So was it you who had done a wee near the bird hide? 😂
Absolutely mate. We were riding old BMX's and trackers around the woods at her age. She's really keen to go ahead. We ride to school together most days and then I leg it to work (as I'm always running late). On days where the weather is too grim to cycle, she's gutted that we have to take the car!
She had me worried at times. She's one of those lucky people who seems to just pick things up quickly and be good at them. Was exactly the same with ice skating (she's way better at that than I am - I am a reluctant participant in that activity though)
@Stopadoodledoo The lower centre of gravity helps! It's the same with skiing... the younger they start, the easier they learn! I suppose that could be applied to most things really. 'Old dogs & new tricks' may have some truth to it! 😆
We did try to warn them that the cafe may be shut but luckily it was open. To be honest, as Christian and Charli were staying over that night, they were just really excited about the sleepover (they were yapping away until 2:30am 😂)
Her shrieks of joy were fabulous. Can't believe she's so grown up now since I saw the baby photos from your Mum.

Wonderful to hear children enjoying themselves. Much better than any ipad.
Absolutely mate. It can be a struggle to get her outside and away from screens but when you do, she loves it (whatever we do) 👍
Well that's what Andrew says.
Fantastic! Great to see you all having fun!
Thanks. Sara wanted to back the next day 😂

Her little laugh 😂
Yeah, not heard that uncontrollable laugh/giggle in a while; it had me laughing too 😂
Get 'em started early and before you know it, they'll be showing you the way down the hill 👍

Ha love that! Your daughter's already a speed freak... where does she get that from!? 🤔👍🏼

Be sending it more than you before you know it......thats whats happened with my lad ha
You're not wrong and when she gets a bit more strength in her legs, she'll probably be toasting me on the climbs too 😂
