- When I asked my brother in law to go riding with he told me he had a dead battery. He then told me the bike wouldn't always start.
Based on a few other questions I was leaning towards the stator having gone bad.
Today I'll walk through the process of removing and installing a new charging system on a 2006 Honda CBR1000RR. This process is similar to many sportbikes but the specifics apply to a 2004-2006 CBR1000RR.
I recently started working with eManualOnline for their searchable service manuals. They have virtually all makes and model motorcycles, you can search their site for others. Here is an affiliate link to the one you can use on a 2004-2006 CBR1000RR:

Its a shame you didn't show doing resistance checks on the stator 3 phase plug to ground as this is how they usually fail , to confirm diagnosis and to help others fault finding.
You're right- a definite miss on my part. Sorry.
where is the link for the parts?
It's in the description but here you go!

First
Very bad idea to use power tools on fine threaded bolts
I knew someone would call me out for that :D I get the bolts started by hand and then just the driver to get through the thread and a torque wrench to finish it off.
If you mean on the removal, that's a fair point, but as mentioned in the video, I only did it because someone else called me out for only using ratchets on another bike. I seldom actually use power tools. Good to note for others, thanks
