I remember going camping with my parents in the woods when the psp hadn’t been out for too long. I took both my psp and my ds with me, with Some games I owned. It was Sonic rush for ds, and stuntman for GBA. On the psp I brought killzone liberation and WRC rally with me. Playing those games in a holiday mindset is something that I’ll always remember. Just enjoying the excitement of playing such deep games on the go in a completely carefree environment goes a long way. I’d almost say it’s therapeutic
Also, I share you love for machinarium, especially its soundtrack! I heard a dj spin one of the tracks on a party last summer

Few months ago i went to Philippines on holiday. From Manila to Baguio City would take me 8 hours by bus, thanks to Pinball arcade on Vita, i didn't fell asleep but gaming on the go, Cheers!

This is perfect. I've never owned PS Vita before. I just purchased this device and accessories from Amazon a couple days ago and will get it next week. I am going for a 3 week vacation next month and will be spending over 40 hours of it at the airport and on the plane back and forth total. This is perfect to have with and I am pretty excited. Gravity Rush is first in line.

Ninja Garden Sigma, Mortal Konbat, Persona 4, Akiba’s Trip Undead and Undressed, MGS3, and FFX would have to be my go to games for the vita. Good list tho loving all the vita content

I'm going to mention a game that NO ONE talks about: Ninja Usagimaru: Two Tails of Adventure.
It's a puzzle-action-platformer. I'm playing it now and I recommend it a lot.

Haha yeah maybe true! I like to go out and explore, climb a hill, have a swim etc, but after that I'm gonna need a rest. Lots of people take a book on holiday, might as well sit and play some games while they are reading :)
PS Vita games you can play on vacation = ANY games!
The great thing about the Vita is you can hit that power button and it will hibernate right where you are, you don't even have to pause! No looking for save points either. Played Uncharted Golden Abyss on the airplane over to Ireland and back from the USA, it was awesome.
That is a good point. I had a friend who kept it in hibernate mode for like a couple months or something and forgot all about. Turned it on one day and couldn't believe the battery still had a charge.
I just got my new Vita and I love it. Sad that near is dead tho. But my thoughts exactly as you said in this video. Vacation best time to play. Especially if your on a plane for 5 hours.

I have always taken a portable gaming device with me on vacation. I wake up before my wife so that’s a great time to get a little gaming in with a warm cup of coffee.

Machinarium is a game that I played long ago on my cellphone, and it was AMAZING!!! Im not into point and click games that much, but this game is something else! I think it was a "Boom" on mobile devices (cellphones and tablets) And when it came out to the vita, The moment passed. Anyway, MACHINARIUM RULES!

Zen Pinball never leaves my Vita memory stick. Video game pinball has always been a bit hit or miss over the years. I think it's a hard concept to replicate in programming code. Zen gets the design and feel of a pinball table just right, I'm old enough to remember arcades full of pinball machines in pre-video game days. Plus Zen has the crazy character animations that wouldn't be possible on an actual pinball playing field.
What zen table do you mostly play on? I can't get enough of the street fighter one.
@@SuperJumpReviews I don't have the Street Fighter but will give it a look since you recommended it. I like the Marvel tables, especially Iron Man and Spider-Man. Also the Blade table is really neat with it's Day/Night cycle with certain areas only available at one time or the other. The Star Wars tables are kinda meh. The best of those are the ones based on the original movies. My favorite without question is the Tesla table! Great design, sound and play. You're right in your review....all those tables have different characteristics and feels to them. When I recently got a PS3 found out they were cross-buy...bonus!
I know! Love how they're cross buy. That's how I got the street fighter one onto the vita. I saw it available and was hopping I didn't have to buy it again on vita. Turns out I didn't. Score.
If you are JRPG fan like me then trails in the sky is a must for you... very beautiful game.

I always carry my vita around, it is super portable (more so than switch)and love it when waiting the next plane at the airport.... love my vitas (more than 2 I’ve got)

As asian, this is not a problem for me to get the physical of these games. But I realize it's quite pricy and hard to find for western people. My tips, try find these games on singapore online shops. They sell many the english subs version. Many video game shops in singapore sell online too.

Monkey Ball on Vita was the first game in the series that I played. It's pretty fun and challenging. Its visuals are simple & clean and its performance is rock solid. Definitely a great vacation title.
The first time I ever heard of monkey ball was when the gamecube was first released haha. That just shows how old I am.
Another game for the list could be "Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours"

I bought Zen Pinball 2 and several tables for my PS4. Are they mine to download from Sony on the Vita I just bought? (I don't pay them money every month)(same for Limbo). Also, I absolutey loved Machinarium back in Windows 7. It was written in (I think Flash or one of those now defunct languages or extensions that Adobe had). My favorite game of all time is Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (it needs two joysticks like Ape Escape). Do you know if they ever had Brothers for the Vita?
I absolutely love Brothers: A tale of two sons. Such a touching game. I almost cried. No, it was never ported to the vita, but it was just recently ported to the Nintendo Switch though. As for the pinball tables I'm not quite sure. Why don't you try it out and see if it works or not.
I am disappointed PlayStation never imported PAIN..... It was release for the PS3 but never for the PS4 or PS Vita I would love to play it on the go.

Nice list although I think I would have substituted Rayman Legends for Origins instead. I just couldn't get into those murphy levels where you had to use the touch screen.

I'm not gonna lie, I hate vacations, only because my dad always wants to go straight to visiting his side of the family. And you might be thinking "Well what's wrong with that?". Well it sucks because all we do is sit around and watch soccer or chit chat while drinking beer; like I can do that stuff at home, let's go sightseeing. So sightseeing is out of the question and that is when I bring a portable game console or my tablet with me. Once I graduate and move out of my place, I'm going out there and exploring other countries, forget my family, they can waste their time visiting each other for all I care

My 64gb card got corrupted and have yet to buy another card. Truly a bummer, but I still love my vita.

Way too many games to pack on a vita. I loaded up with Psone classics the most recent time and I was super happy. Some of those older games just hit different.

What happens if you want to use more than one memory card on the PS Vita? Is it as simple as just replacing it or when you insert the other one you have to re initialize and/or re enable your games by going online?

I have two memory cards that I switch back and forth between vita and pstv. So far it's as simple as replacing But regarding game saves you might need the card that you originally saved the game on. Can anyone else verify this?

I just got my vita today and I love it. But sadly I’m one of those people who don’t know how to download psp games to the vita😭 my cousin downloaded my psp games for me and he lives in Mexico, and I’m about to go on vacation for 10 days. Can you maybe point me to a guide on how to do it or explain in your own words? I’d really appreciate it🙏🏽
You need a psn account. Go into "PS Store" on the homepage. Scroll down and tap on "Classics For PS Vita/PS3/PSP/minis. Pick the game you want and start downloading. Or you can download the "PS App" on your phone. Sync your psn account to it and search for game on there. Once you buy it on there you can go over to your ps vita and it'll show up in your download list which you can then download onto your vita :)
It's not that complicated. You'll figure it out I'm sure.

Get the Nyko grip for your vita...best used when playing fighters and racing games
I looked up the Nyko grip on ebay. There's two versions, a 1000 and a 2000 series. Which one is better? The 10000 series is super expensive for some reason.
