I started doing my own laundry when I was around 11. I accidentally washed some money, and it was fine but I was afraid I was going to get in trouble for “money laundering” because I had no idea what it actually meant 😂. I wouldn’t even ask my parents about it I was so afraid.

Carla, thank you for sharing. I've used a compact washer and dryer for about five years...wanted to suggest a few things. I use a mesh strainer in my sink along with regular cleaning of the one in the washer. Save your pipes from getting clogged. Also, you MUST vent your dryer to the outside. Lint is a fire hazard and it is unhealthy to inhale. You should not have that blowing freely into your home...for the health and safety of you and your dog. Proud of you for pretreating...that is one step I omit (but probably shouldn't).

    • @TheCarlaProject

Also please get a lint trap to attach to your drain hose or used a pair of cheap nylon stockings. I use a sink strainer and the lint trap to be double safe. It's amazing how much the lint trap catches. People forget about the lint trap on their drain hose I notice in most videos.

I even added a second dryer at one point, which required some renovations, to try and solve my issues with doing laundry.

I have a Panda PAN6360W, the younger and slightly bigger sibling of your washer, for a little over a year and I've found loading the washer only 3/4 of the way results in much better results as far as how clean your clothes can get. These impeller washers aren't as strong as the OG central column washers so they need a little extra room to allow the clothes to move around and rub up against the drum where all those holes and indentions do the "scrubbing". Just a heads up. You do what works for you. Nice video and chill BGM.

Your bedroom is gorgeous. Those windows, with the beautiful trees outside, and the light! Love the wood floors and how light and airy it looks. Had to say that first. I had one of those small portable washers when I lived in a place with no washer. No dryer, used a clothes line but I have to say those little washers do a great job spin drying so clothes are almost dry. Thought about getting a small dryer but had nowhere to vent it. Your washer is great, almost like a regular full size one, and no transferring clothes in one side, into the other, babysitting it as it fills. Still, it beat going to a laundromat. Your setup is much better.

I don't use a dryer, I like to hang everything around my apartment. I would still wash my comforter and my livingroom rug (yes I put my livingroom 12 ft rug in the medium washer at my lm, it only costs $4 to wash and of course Tide gets it sparkling clean. I have it in storage now I know how to get it together. I have to give up my storage at the end of this month so now I'll know how to use one of those. "What's the worst thing you've put in your washing machine?" OMG THIS BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES. Once I couldn't find my prepaid flip phone. Yup. I was frazzled from work and left it in my pants....... It was dead. Though it survived many drops in puddles before and it was $20 so I didn't cry about it. Another time my mom left cash (like $15 worth) and luckily I found it before putting it in the wash!!

Love the laundry set up I think it's cool. Love the windows inuour room. The sun is so nice. Just a suggestion maybe use a used dryer sheet to clean lint seems to help me when I clean my lint filter.

I live in a rural area. I have gone through several portable washers over the years. I have it outdoors and wash and hang on clothesline. My clothes smell so much better. I have an auertech brand. I have an electric dryer but never use it!

Is there room to keep the washer in the kitchen? Maybe next to the tall shelves? This way you don't have to take up so much room in your closet. Plus it will be more accessible. You could do a load of laundry once or twice a week instead of all at once.

    • @TrendingTami

Agree...keep the washer in the kitchen. And also keep the dryer in the kitchen if you can or does the dryet fit in the bathroom.

an illegal underground laundry in my apt, lol. U inspired me to buy on marketplace a portable washer and dryer for my new apt. I grew up having to use a laundromat but for years havent had to. The washer i have gotten used to, works actually really great, the dryer doesnt really work consistently and creates a lot of extra work. Loved this video!

I'm so glad YT suggested this video. Your channel looks amazing, and I can't wait to watch your other videos. I just replaced my 2 year old twin tub manual washer with one of these. Can't wait to get it. Believe it or not, my apt is even smaller....400 Sq. Ft. 3 guinea pigs and 4 cats, so hair is definitely a problem here. Thank you for showing the dryer so well. That's on the list for later now.😊

I had this exact washer! It was such a life saver--until it wasnt! Eventually the motor burned out and the door lock stopped recognizing when the door was closed. Make sure never to overload it! And dont leave the door open for extended times. I upgraded to the black and decker.

Probably gum in my pocket. Or my magnet jewelry. Once you finish on your closet purge it seems like you'd have room to keep the washer in that area with more ease of getting it in and out. I can't believe how much you can get in a load. Samson smiling like.. look she is doing my laundry and I can lay here and relax. Total service ! Our dog is the same. He either likes to sleep or watch us. He especially loves to watch us cook in the kitchen. It's the cutest thing.

I also do the same things that you do with the washer and dryer in the apartment. I have a Magic Chef 3.0 cubic feet washing machine with all the same settings and a 4.0 ft.³ Splendide dryer with a Better Vent and it catches any extra lint. If you are looking to upgrade your washer or dryer, I did so much research on both my machines so that I could wash large amounts and save time and money as well as having a dryer that is dry followed from my large size washing machine. She is a workhorse with a really good large size drum. The Splendide dryer it was so easy to set up it is and dryer that does not get excessively hot It is designed for RV and Marine use so they are extremely well-made. Well worth a little extra money it cost for the dryer that will work well and last. 3.0 ft.³ Magic Chef dryer was a little over US$300 and the splendide Dryer was between 500- $600

My husband is in the trades, i used to be really bad about checking pockets until a sharpie was left in the washer and dryer and not only did it ruin a ton of my kids clothes but my husbands company shirts and carharts which are like $65 a pair.. it ruined 3. The whole load was stained. Another time a razor blade was left in his pockets… I cried having to replace my teenagers Levi’s which took the brunt of the damage 😭
