    As a Romanian we have Slavic culture and we feel Slavic even if our language isn't

    • @Aladinzc
      @Aladinzc ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Original meaning of Slav is light, spiritually awaken person. It has nothing to do with ethnology. So anyone can be or become Slav.

    • @slavi7191
      @slavi7191 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hehehe, so true. But I like the Romanian language....it's very Italian sounding.

    • @ArtemySmyslovsky
      @ArtemySmyslovsky ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@Aladinzc Stop with that leftist nonsense. Slavs are a European ethnic group so the only thing it has to do with is ethnology. One is genetically either a Slav or not. And the self-name "Славяне" ("slaviane") is derived from words "слово" and "слава", "word" and "glory", i.e. the famous people about whom the word is spread

    • @Aladinzc
      @Aladinzc ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@ArtemySmyslovsky You can lament as you want. It is nothing against Slavs. No one is genetically 100% anything. We are mixtures where some genes are or can dominant. But we are at first spiritual beings who are born on different places in different lives in different ethnics but it is important what level of spirituality we develop or keep. If high ig gives better chance to be born in so calle "slavic" regions repeatedly till we are ready to leave. That is just my opinion.
      And we still know so little about our true history so mine or your claims can become laughable in future ;)

      @@Aladinzc Nah. A Slav is a Slav. You can tell just by looking at one. There's a reason that ancestry tests give out Eastern Europe and Russia as a category. All Slavs share the same ancient ancestors and many modern ones as well. Don't be silly.

      anna ilv the slavs use an alphabet created in Macedonia by Macedonians and the old Church Slavonic language, the language which was used by Macedonian missionary’s to convert people throughout Europe to pravo slaven/slavic orthodox, is closest to today’s Macedonian language.

    • @WatchmanofMKDN
      @WatchmanofMKDN 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      President Putin payed homage and congratulated the Macedonian President and said
      “Macedonia is the cradle of slavic literature” because he knows Russia and others got their religion and alphabet from Macedonians in the 10th century.

    • @WatchmanofMKDN
      @WatchmanofMKDN 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      anna ilv the SLAV DNA is the R1a haplogroup DNA. The ancient Macedonians were ancient Slav people because they had the R1a slavic DNA. This is proven by the hunza kalash and burusho who live in Pakistan region. They claim to be the descendants of the ancient Macedonians of Alexanders army. They have many blonde hair and blue eyed slavic looking people and have similar cultural clothing and even have a language called burushaski. The hunza and kalash have different DNA origins to the Pakistanis and Indians around them.
      The ancient Macedonians were not related to Greeks because they weren’t in the Greek E1b1b Y DNA haplogroup and the Thracians and Illyrians are also considered as ancient slav people because they too were in the R1a Y DNA haplogroup.

    Now as an answer to your final question, Darya, what I would like to see covered is: just how much mixture was there between Slav and Finn as Slavs from the Kiev area moved north into what was later called 'Muscovy'? Kluchevsky states that this mixture occurred, but did not even try to estimate percentages: he reached the conclusion based on archeological artifacts and linguistic facts (e.g.. Finnish influence introducing far more soft consonants than in Slavic). But one old Russian scholar I knew personally even claimed that gene mapping has now been done, proving that there is very little admixture, Russians are really almost *entirely* Finnish!
    I find that hard to believe, but genetics cannot be lightly ignored or discounted.

    • @user-iu6rw9vh2j
      @user-iu6rw9vh2j 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All gene mappings show that finno-ugric admixture is only about 10-15%. The way of life of finno-ugric peoples was based on hunting and gathering, that is why their population was low and they couldn't compete numerically with agriculture-based Slavs who quickly outnumbered them.

    • @user-gx3hj5ur3n
      @user-gx3hj5ur3n 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      About 15% of Russians do have N1 (Finnish YDNA). In some Northen areas up to 30%. In the South not more than 5%. Its strange that Lithuanians do have about 35-40% of N1 YDNA.

      Only a part of Russia was "slavs of mongols". But there were not slavs,there were just paying money for Mongols,that's all.
      ONLY A PART of east slavic. And there are also south slavic,who were conquered by turkish people,but then there were reconqered.
      And west slavic were friends with Germany. Some lands were conqued by other lands,that's normal. Finns were conqed by Swedes,Spanish by africans.
      There is one myth,that Russians were mixed up with mongols and finns,ukrains and south slavic with turkish,and Polish and Chehs with germans. That's wrong,because:
      Ukrain was fighting with turkish. FIGHTING. There were no other contact between them,only a war. That's why they can't be mixed up with turkish.
      Russians and south slavic were conqued,but the conquerors were in other lands,there only got a money from Russia/south slavic and there had some power. (Only with the resolutions on mongols a man could become a knyaz/tsar in Russia. (Knyas and tsar are like a king in Russia,in that time there were no united Russia,but many Russians countries (like in a Norway,but in Norway king was called "konung")

    *There were almost NO SLAVS on the russian territory! The Ugro-finnic Russia was a vassal of Crimean Khanate until 1700 and then that year Russia (under title "Moscovia") appeared as an independent state for the first time in history. Kyivan Rus was actually Ukrainian country only! The first capital of Rus was Kyiv. Moscow was created in period of 1259-1272 by the Mongol Khan Mengu-Timur (Khan of the Golden Horde), and Moscovia (the modern Russia) as an ulus of Golden Horde was created in 1277 by the same Khan. The modern Russia is a true descendant of Golden Horde. According to the historical documents.*
