Word Agni is common in Indian Language (Hindi) which means fire . Recently Lithuanian minister gifted us book where 76 letters and words directly match with Hindi . Indo - European roots still exist today but unfortunately many of these were destroyed during the Christian conversion period of Europe. @user-lq2ny3oz1k *slavic religion has many similarities with Hinduism. Swarog is Swarg in Sanskrit. Gypsy, Roma and Sinti races have also similarities with Hinduism. Swastic is the sign of Hinduism and Jainism and also Swastik is used in slavic people and Aryans of Germany*
*Many massacres was committed by crusaders to kill Hindus in Europe. Statue of Jupiter was built by Great Hindu Architect Phidia, statue was destroyed by Cruel christian king Constentinopole of Italy. Also watch hollywood movie King Arthur, this cruel king of sexton race in the movie killed many hindus in Europe. And sexton race came from Africa to Britain to kill hellenic-celtic people*
We should also know that JEUS was the supreme god in celtic-hellenic religion. A professional thief wanted to declare himself god. He inserted ''S'' in the middle of word ''JEUS'' and converted it to ''JESUS''. But thanks to god JEUS, he showed his ultimate power and soon the thief was arrested by local king and punished to death on cross. in last thief prayed to god JEUS to forgive him for sins but his stupid followers thought that his leaders asked god to forgive the king. Angry by death sentence of their evil leader, Christians destroyed Temples of JEUS, Athena, Hera, Artemis, Parjanya, Pluto, Apollo, Statue of Jupiter and killed many Celtic, Hellenic, Slavs of Europe. History revealed that christians of Europe are not Europeans, the are Sexton race people who came from Africa to kill Gypsi, Roma, Sinti, Slavs, Hindus, Celtics and Hellenics*

Christianity is an Abrahamic religion like Islam & Judaism, created by Afro-Asiatic speaking people (the Arabs, Jews, Ethiopians etc.); you guys would be better off believing in Hinduism or Buddhism, both of which are Indo-European religions. For instance, Svarog in Slavic paganism is cognate with "Svarg" (which means heaven / sky in Sanskrit). Zeus Pater (the Greek god of thunder), Jupiter (Latin) and "Dyaus Pita" (the sky father in Hinduism) are cognates for one another. Agni is the Hindu god of fire, cognate with the Latin word for fire (Ignis), Slavic words for fire (ogień, ogni, ogon', ogenj, oganj) and the Lithuanian word for fire (ugnis). The ancient Hindu texts known as the VEDAS (“knowledge”) is cognate with Polish “WIEDZA”. Like Greek mythology and Slavic paganism, Hinduism & Buddhism are also polytheistic religions, unlike that of Christianity, Islam or Judaism which are monotheistic.

Svarog is only name of god. The word "svarog" is not exist in modern russian language.
Heaven in russian is "nebo" or "nebesa"
But "svara" is archaic form of word "ssora", what means "swearing" or "quarrel"

Hello Daria! It is so important to understand the cultural history of a people when trying to understand their language and culture. I am mostly Celtic (Scots-Irish) but my mother's family is also descended of the Muscogee Tribe in Mississippi. I grew up with my mother's family's tribal customs and spirituality. I began researching my Celtic roots about 15 years ago. I see so many similarities in all the tribal cultures. I am sure you are already familiar with the similarities between what you spoke of with Slavic "mythology" and Celtic "mythology". Here in the Americas, it was much the same. Spirituality is deeply attached to the natural things and nature. We have the beliefs of the Thunder People, Mother (Grandmother) Earth, The Great One or the Great Spirit, and on and on. There is a Spirit which governs all things in Nature, as everything is alive. Some nice, some not so nice. But all working in balance. I have recently begun learning Russian through your videos and I am actually finding Russian to be more natural than I expected! You are a great учитель! Keep up the amazing work! *slavic religion has many similarities with Hinduism.
And sexton race came from Africa to Britain to kill hellenic-celtic people*
*We should also know that JEUS was the supreme god in celtic-hellenic religion.

It's not that there are many gods.
Indo-European religion have a specific distribution of gods.
      Sky Father and Earth Mother.
Sons of Sky Father and Earth Mother:
      - Upper Realm God (Heaven) married to Horse Goddess
      - Middle Realm God (Human world) lover of Sovereignty and Intoxication Goddess.
      - Lower Realm God (Underworld) married to the Kidnapped Season Goddess (Persephone, Bláthnat)
      - Champion God, son of the Upper Realm God (Cú Chulainn, Hermes, Thórr)
      - God of river springs, hot springs, healing and physicians, who was the son of the Sovereignty Goddess and the Champion God. He was married to the Lower Realm Goddess known as Guovovwinda, a goddess of war, death, cows, rivers and cattle.
      - The God of fire, youth, beauty, agriculture and love (Mac Óg, Mabon Mab Modron, Baldur-Loki) who is the son of the Lower Realm Goddess and the Sky Father. He marries the Sovereignty Goddess (Medb-Méabh, Ushah)
      - God of light, summer, festivals and the sun (Lugh, Lugus, Lleu, Apollon) who is son of the Lower Realm Goddess and the Sky Father, and acts as the opposite god of the Champion God.
      - God of Knowledge, oral tradition and poetry (Oghma, Ogmios, Bragi).

Slavic mythology and the pantheon is прекрасно. It really deserves as much study and adoration as other ones such as Scandinavian or Greco-Roman mythology here in the west as well as in the Slavic world.
I think that Veles has a lot of similarities to the Celtic god Cernunnos, except that Cernunnos often appears as a big stag, so perhaps also a bit like the Leshy. Celtic languages are very far removed from Slavic languages in the Indo-European family tree, so the names aren't similar.
