How To Break In Leather Cleats

  • Hey guys!
    I just got in a new pair of full K- Leather cleats that needed a good breaking in. There are a few different methods used for breaking in cleats so I went ahead and showed you the style that I used. It's relatively simple all you need is some hot water a new pair of cleats and time!
    Make sure you wear your cleats as much as you possibly can especially when they're wet so they can begin to mold themselves to your feet and when you are done wearing them to leave newspapers/socks in to hold the shape of your foot in the cleat and to absorb all the water.
    Hope you liked the video too!

    Nice video Alberto learned a lot of stuff from you.
    Hey I gotta ask you why my gloves have little tears in the finger area. Like I know if it tears in the palm it's from bad diving technique but I don't get much tears at the palm. I tend to get it from my fingers. Can you explain why? Love your video btw taught me a lot of stuff thankyou.

    • @ARSGoalkeeping
      @ARSGoalkeeping  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Latex will just start to rip after time, if you handle anything other than a soccer ball the gloves will slowly start to tear

    Can't the hot water eventually damage the adhesive material between the leather and the sole plate?? And would you recommend using a shoe tree instead of socks or news paper??

    • @ARSGoalkeeping
      @ARSGoalkeeping  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zacarias Hashemi I haven't had any issues with my cleats but I would use newspaper just to soak up the water.

      xxTacoRevolutionxx It just comes with practice. Take your time and practice both feet every single new number is progress after hitting 10 in a row I promise you can hit 100 it's just being fit enough to follow and control the ball

    Using warm water ob leather cleats actually damage the the cleats. The cleats wont be as durable as a pair of non watered cleats. The easiest and best way to break in leather cleats is to wear them a couple of hours, after a couple of hours, or days if its a slim model, the leather will take the shaoe of your feet and it will be more durable.

    • @ARSGoalkeeping
      @ARSGoalkeeping  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Cleats are made to withstand all types of weather and leather is extremely durable. You can do a simple google search to find out other methods that use water and warm water to break in cleats. Wearing them for hours works too though.

    I heard from SR4U that you should not do this. It can damage the cleats, and it is just better to just break them in over time. Just what I heard though.

    • @ARSGoalkeeping
      @ARSGoalkeeping  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do it either way, this method makes the cleats mold better to my feet. I don't know how water can "damage" the cleats if that were the case we wouldn't wear them during rain thanks for watching and commenting!

    • @joseramirez9706
      @joseramirez9706 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I can't really say anything because I never had leather cleats but I have had some higher end synthetic cleats that have fallen apart from to much water in them from puddles.

    • @kevinvuong9945
      @kevinvuong9945 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      He is talking about synthetic cleats which are held together by glue. Most leather cleats are stitched together.

I am also looking for some new drills that are effective and challenging, and was wondering if you had some ideas for me. Lastly I am looking to get a new fairly cheap ball and some new goalkeeper shorts and wanted to know if you had any recommendations for either of those. Thank you!
