right? lol I played years ago ( start of game actually ) and went back to wow..sick of wow, coming back to gw2 and want to start fresh and this is what I'm going with lol
I'm very ungifted as a player and I enjoy the Revenant very much. I think what it does well compared to some other classes I have tried, is it gives you the ability to kinda sorta ignore some of the mechanics while providing the illusion of doing something. You can build it for very powerful sustain and grind things out at your own pace while staying in the thick of things, which is good for enjoyment. I tried the minionmancer and the summoner elementalist and the problem I had was that necro was very hands-off, while the ele, even when toughened up, takes quite a bit more skill, which I don't seem to have :). So the Revenant, due to all the healing and the powerful upkeep skills, provides a usefully high skill floor for noobs like me.
@@michajozwiak5557 well, if you have a Necro already and want something powerful and thought that minion Necro is too hands off, you can always turn your Necro into a Reaper and faceroll the game with a hands on approach that includes whacking people with a big ass sword, slowing and freezing everything around you and turning into a big mothafucka with a giant scythe that steals life.
I have a soft spot for unconventional use of weapons, so whenever I see a class that straight up chooses to *_YEET_* their melee weapon from a distance, i fall in love. Gonna try out Greathammer Revenant someday, hopefully it's as fun as my Greatsword Mesmer.

Would like to say after getting all but elementalist and engineer elite specializations unlocked and played with, Revenant Renegade is the one I enjoy the most. With the right build he can burn thru just about anything. Obviously, other professions can do this as well or better, but Rev is the one that's the most fun for me. 10 outta 10, would recommend.
I've been playing a lot of Necro and Warrior the last few months but really been getting in to the Rev in the last week or so 😀 really loving it at the moment!

I just started gw2 again (played last back in 2013...) and chosed the revenant because I play solo without friends. GW2 is mainly a group game but i cant always rely on the randoms, so I need a class, which can survive alone in pve and pvp because I also want to play WVW sure the revenant is difficult to handle, but like in TEKKEN you just need to find the correct combos and then you will have less energy problems. Pure thing or the really good thing is you really feel the specializations. without specials i thought i chose the wrong class, no high dmg less health regen... but as i chose the specials damn son.... this class is thick....! Its a fast class, you really need to know what your abilities do and in when to use it. If you handle some spells wrong, your energy is at zero and your potential attack dmg is much reduced. Can I recommend the revenant? Yes, but only if you want to learn multiple move sets. Its a dynamic class, which never tires me.
It is nice that there is a profession that is very solo friendly. All the GW2 professions can be solved to some extent, but this one works well for solo play
The other day I decided to play my Revenant for the first time in months, and I was confused/saddened to find that the "banshee" sound-effect on "Surge of the Mists" (10:21), "Riposting Shadows" (32:14) and a few other mist/teleport skills is totally gone! No more high-pitched wail that I thought was so cool and added a unique flavor to the class x_x Is this a bug or was it removed intentionally? I can't seem to find any information on this via patchnotes, and I haven't seen any players mention it on the forum...
They're all outfits you can buy from the gem store but the stock does change so best to look what's available right now 😃 the one on the Warrior guide is the Balthazar's Regalia Outfit!

The race you pick doesn't really matter at all! The only differences it makes is comestic and the first part of your Personal Story 😃
