The mesmer is a fantastic DPS class! The Elementalist is a very versatile class as it's different attunements allow it to do different things like healing and support but for straight up DPS, I would choose Mesmer every day of the week 😊

I fell in love with greatsword Mesmer the moment i tried it. Nothing compares to the feeling of *_YEETING_* your big huge sword at a dude from miles away and spawn tons of clones.
When I first got to try mesmer with greatsword I couldn't get over the fact that you could shoot people with your sword. The friend that got me into GW 2 recently had to suffer through my fascination, and I almost got map chat into that mess as well. I deleted the char(r)because I wanted to get an impression of other classes but I think I need to go back and level one to max now.
Welp... It's been years since i've last played, but got the itch to get back into it. Wanted to know more about the mesmer, and definitely got it. Now i want to see your guides on every other class. You got a sub man. Keep it up!

I’m looking into warrior (berserker?) as my main with a tank secondary character because I do enjoy learning both sides of the game (fuck healing tho). I want to start with the warrior, but at the same time I imagine it’s a little harder to level a tank because of their dps loss.
@@alilarhdiri9666 that’s what I’m doing. Starting with human warrior or guardian, then boosting the other human warrior or guardian (just prefer human aesthetic rather than another race). Just not sure which to main and play through

Just found this video and just started playing this game in like the last month. This class is crazy fun, but I was a bit lost given all of the nuances each class has. This guide is amazing! It is still a lot, but this breakdown makes it understandable and not intimidating.
It's my second day of playing the game. I started off with a mesmer and it's definitely a lot of fun! had trouble figuring out how the clone thing works but I'm getting the hang of it. Anyway, just wanted to ask the best weapon swap combos that Mesmer can do as a dps. I'm currently using a 2H sword 3>2>1>4>5 then swap to a 1H rod and gun with the skills 5>4>3>1>2. And yeah, I am more of a range-type of player. any suggestions?
Hey man, so when it comes to weapons for a DPS Mesmer, 2H sword is a definite so you're definitely on the right track there. With your other weapon sets, most meta builds would have dual wield swords which can offer very high melee damage. However, if you're quite squishy and want something ranged, I enjoy using scepter and pistol as my second weapon set. 5 to stun the enemies, 4 is a powerful phantasm, 3 is a powerful channelled beam and 2 is a good counterattack ability 😊
I've been struggling to choose between elementalist and mesmer. I ultimately chose elementalist because people claim mesmer is really hard for newer people and because I generally like to heal and elementalist seemed like a good choice for a healer, but have i made a mistake? Mesmer looks really cool. I know I COULD do both but honestly I have very limited free time and don't get to play often so I really don't have the time to play both and make any sort of progress.
It's completely up to which one you find the most enjoyable 😃 I prefer the Mesmer myself but they're both very good options and yes the Ele is definitely a better choice for healing 😊
I have a mesmer I neglected for years and I want to learn the class. It's full zerker and squishy as fuck. Should I keep it that way or I could use something else to soak a bit damage while I learn to use it? I'm struggling even with combat mastery points
Personally, I do play my Mesmer with full berserker and don't have too much trouble with survivability! However, I use all ranged weapons (Greatsword/Scepter+Pistol) which allows me to deal tonnes of damage while hiding behind my clones 😃 if you've not played it in a while, you may just need to get used to the mechanics again but there's no shame in sticking some vitality on your jewellery to give you a helping hand ☺️
Before watching: looking at the names on the play head you didn't include shatter skills as its own section? It would be nice to get stand alone section talking about those. Like how, when and why to use each of them. Maybe you included them somewhere and I just am reacting to nothing ^_^ internet, our attention span is max 30seconds lol

It's the PvP lobby area so if you press "P" to bring up the menu and choose to go to the lobby you can go to this area where you can try all skills and specializations 😃

You can have 3 clones up at any time and the three circles above your weapon skills shoe you how many you currently have active which is very useful for knowing when to use your shatter skills 😊
I do like to pair the Scepter & Pistol with the Greatsword if I want a ranged only build 😃 not quite the damage of the dual swords but definitely viable!
