Thanks for the review. I’d like to add the reason of spin customization is for cloths that gets stretched or damaged on high spins. So choosing carefully the spin is important for non-cotton cloth.
Use the cold quick wash and slect lower spin speed..

So, we just bought this washer but I don’t really see the need for the extra cost for Wi-Fi. It’s a beautiful machine but I’ll be really impressed when it will load clothes, put them In the dryer, fold and put away.😅

Just moved into a new apartment and it has this washer + dryer combo. Doing one load, it’s telling me it’s going to take 7 hours… I can’t for the life of me figure out a resolution. After the initial wash and dry, the clothes were still extremely wet. Tried drying again for two hours and clothes were still damp. Tried taking most clothes out and left about 10 items of clothing in - after another two hours those are still wet. Now, trying again and it says 7 hours. This is a BRAND new unit that was just installed last week.

I had same issue ... Got a brand new machine did wash and dry still wet tried another 2 hours drying it's half wet and clothes stink idk what good is this machine... Probably old ones do this much quick and better

@@imtiaztariq4155 Does yours also give off the burnt clothes smell? We have tried everything and can’t seem to figure out why it does that. No lint inside the lint catcher and we clean the rubber around the doors every cycle.
Are you able to adjust the drying temperature? Or is it just one set temp? If so, have you had any issues with wool or cotton shrinking?
Hi there, you can't adjust the temperature. So far no issues with the wool or cotton shrinking.
From my experience of one of their similar machines, using it wasn't that intuitive to use, the dry cycle worked but took quite a while and often too long on some clothes (yes, shrinking was an issue) and the app never worked consistently, but it was a decent washer in spite of the above. I now have a Samsung washer only and must say I prefer it.

Historically anything that is a washer / dryer has not been very good. The idea is good in theory but it comes with a caveat. They all operate OK when new but when used for a while not so good. These reviews only show what they perform like when new. I do not want to pay for effectively being a beta tester so I did not purchase a washer / dryer when replacing my Laundry appliances recently.
@TheAllEngineering well that's what makes this GE specifically special. First one that works well and is holding up well. All the other ones suck. Not this one. That's why i got extended coverage on it. So far so good! Will it last 20 years? Probably not but by then i would eant a new set anyways. I hear your concerns though. I'll enjoy testing it out for you for the next few years. I'll let you know how it goes

Good day, i use the same machine as yours, so far it is so convenient and efficient as my space is limited. I just have a bit of frustration when it comes to its drying… it cant bring out the full scent of the dryer sheets (none at all) despite of the more sheets i use every time i dry… maybe you could give me insights regarding the use of such in our ventless machines, is there really a difference from using it in vented dryers.?Thank you
Hello, as far as dryer sheets i noticed that as well, it couldn't bring out the full scent. However i stopped using dryer sheets as i have red somewhere that it is bad for our lungs. So i switched to the dryer balls. In terms of the scent i am currently using Downy scent boosters. After drying you can't really smell the scent yet, but i noticed after a few hours the scent will strengthen. Hope this helps
Dryer sheets have bad chemicals. Please look up other options but dryer sheets worst of the worst!

Ive had this machine for ten years. I do enjoy it, however if the load is mixed, drying is poor. Also it has eaten through 4 drain pumps. Takes about an hour to replace. 25.00 part.
Indeed drying part is poor on these washing machines but i found a work around by setting the spin to extra high to whisk extra moisture out of the clothes. And set the drying time to just 2 hours.

I use the quick wash and cold wash ..i just got the lg direct drive and do not overdose with laundery soap then you will get resdue if it soap powder .. the water must not be very soapy ( tip)
The lg is low water and power consumption
After the wash, can you open and take out some clothes and then continue with the drying?
you can hit the play (pause) button, ang wait for a couple of seconds for the door to unlock. Then after taking out the clothes, close the door and you can hit play button again to start drying.
I like dryer very much too.

5 hrs is fine. Drying your laundry under the sun takes about the same time even more
You're right about that, but i think some people's concern is the electricity bill. I usually do set the "SPIN" to "EXTRA HIGH" so that it whisks the extra moisture out of the clothes and could lessen the drying time to just about 2hrs.

@@corincrilow9172 Don't quote me on this, but I think it's due to manufacturer laziness. Most washer-dryers are made by slapping the standard dryer mechanics onto a standard washer when they weren't designed to operate in such an environment, and as a result, they tend to be really bad dryers. If it's a heat pump dryer specifically, then it's also bogged down by the common problem plaguing those of the heat pump often being severely undersized for the space it's acting on. Case in point, GE recently released a washer-dryer whose dryer half was specifically designed with it being a washer-dryer in mind, and aside from a couple edge cases, it gets the job done just as quickly as a dedicated dryer does.

it dries pretty good. You could speed wash your clothes for 15mins, then the drying part depends on how small or big the Load is. small loads usually takes 1hr to dry and big loads usually takes 3hrs to totally dry up.
Is it hooked to already existing hooks ups or did you get them done? Please show these if possible.

yes, just choose on the click wheel "drain + spin" Then set dry time, after setting dry time, click the spin button and set to no spin. So that only dry function will activate

Yes it does dry the clothes, full load takes around 2 1/2 hrs to 3hrs to fully dry.
How about the water? Will it fill up first before it washes?

So i recently got one I bought used already and need to know if it’s supposed to be loud ? And does it fill up with water where you can see it or no ? 😭😭 I need to know if something is wrong everything works tho
it should not be that loud, maybe somethings wrong with the motor that you just bought. Though the filling up of water part is normal, you can't see it because it uses way less water compare to traditional washing machines where you can literally see the water from the glass window. But regardless it gets the job done on removing stains with minimal water needed.
Ours was very loud. We quickly realized shipping bolts were still in. After removing it was quieter.

yes you can use just the wash setting, because by default the dryer is set to off, you need to manually set the time for the dryer.

it has a sensor dry, but i like to time mine for 2hrs. It's just my personal reference.
any tips for cleaning the door gasket after a drying cycle from all the lint that accumulates? Just trying to figure out the best way to do it lol.
you can use dryer sheets as it attracts lint, wipe the used dryer sheets around the door gasket. if you used a dryer sheet for drying, use that to clean the gasket, no need to get a new dryer sheet. I use a damp paper towel for the lint. I started using Nellie's detergent. Tide blocked up the pump on the previous model this LG I had. Liquid detergent gunks up the pump on these machines, especially the concentrated liquids. Tub clean often or switch.
I use a tough chami or synthetic wipe cloth slightly damp to wipe the door and gasket when possible - and empty the dust into a bin near unit. Also having a vacuum with flex attachment near by helps. Also use white vinegar when doing self clean ever while to clean the areas.

I have a combo in my new house but I’m having a bad time. When I turn it on select normal then I want cold extra high spin heavy and time dry of 2:30 but the buttons on spin won’t go to x high and the dry time won’t work. What am I doing wrong

I have a similar model. After a dryer cycle, a strong smell emanates from the clothes, however clothes are 100% dry but making them unwearable due to smell. Have you encountered this issue too.
By smell you mean the laundry detergent smell? or just foul smell?

I have the same … but Everytime I dry a lot of lint inside the house it’s horrible and a lot of link stuck inside the machine and I have to clean the house and the machine from inside … I don’t know if there is a pipe so I can assemble it to the machine and then so the lint can go at the same place in the pipe where the water goes ….

Yes, just choose spin + Dry then set the drying time then after that change the spin to "No Spin"

Hi does your unit exhaust moist air from the safety air vent on the back of the unit? Mine does during the drying cycle and it makes the wall behind the unit wet. Even with the 4" of space behind the unit as recommended in the manual the moisture on the wall makes me uneasy.

You can fold it already, depending if there are still some slightly wet clothes left that are not totally dried up yet, then you can hang that instead of running the dryer again just for that and waste electricity.
one tip is after your wash cycle is done, throw in some dryer sheets then set spin to extra high and dryer time to 2hours that should dry up the clothes.

it actually uses hot water to dry the clothes. set dryer time to around 3hrs to fully dry the clothes.

This machine is an outright POS. My wife has issues with her lower back, she wanted the combo so she wouldn't have to move heavy, wet laundry from the washer to the dryer. We've had it for about four months, have had to call the service guy twice already and will have to call again on Monday. It's just us two - it's not like we have a family of five and we do laundry all day - a couple loads of laundry per week max.
One - The lint situation is horrible - very little lint winds up in the filter, most of it winds up in, on, and around the rubber gasket on the door - or more likely, all over your laundry. I took a blue blanket out of the dryer, it looked like it had been snowed on -- so much lint it was almost funny.
Two - No more putting the clean clothes in the dryer and starting another load - you have to wait for each load to wash and dry before you can start a new load. And each load from start to finish takes minimum THREE HOURS. Doing even two loads of laundry takes pretty much all day.
Three - constant maintenance issues despite this thing being brand new and not being used much.
This morning I went to the garage to find water all over the floor, and the storage drawer under the washer was full to the brim with dirty water. With any luck, we can get them to take this total POS back and we'll go back to separate units.

if you mean like the literal wash time without the drying time, try to set the dial to "speed wash" it only takes 15mins.
Now if you mean how to decrease drying time, set spin to extra high to whisk out extra liquid then set dryer to 2hrs.

yes it does on the lower left
Grant the bottom left door is to access the drain pump filter. It catches coins and other objects. This machine does NOT have a lint filter as in a traditional dryer. Some of the lint is flushed out when the wash water is pumped out, some of the lint sticks to the door gasket.

Are you able to use just the dryer setting if preferred or do you have to run the wash before drying?
you can run just the dryer, all you need to do is navigate to " spin + drain " on the preset functions then choose how many hrs to dry then before hitting start choose " NO SPIN " so that only dryer function will run.

60-90gallons of water is for the conventional washing machine washing cycle not the dry cycle.
Are you sure about the numbers? Because my 10yrs old Siemens washer 8kg is a A+++ that uses 50 liters (I.e. 13-14 gallons)

yes thats normal, but what i usually do is that i turn the spin to the highest setting, so that i could save time on the drying part, and just set the dry setting to just 2hrs.
There are NO directions anywhere for just using dryer function. Have watched TH-cam videos but still can't get dryer to do the job. Can you help?
Hey there i included that instruction in the video, anyways have the click wheel point to "drain + Spin" Then set dryer time first. After setting dryer time then set spin to "No Spin". You should set it in that order specifically.
Can you use dryer balls with this? Like is there an option to have it tell you it’s done washing through the app and delay the drying so you have a minute to add them?

@@ToolsandGadgets yeah I think so. I currently have a WVC9-1410W (10kg washer, 6kg dryer) but it's on the fritz and I was thinking of upgrading to the WVC9-1412W (12kg washer, 8kg dryer) so I came across your videos looking for reviews of the larger model.
Yours look like it is what we have as the WXLC-1116B. That one is physically too big for the place I can install it unfortunately.

I agree that the drying time takes too long. However mine takes only 2hrs. What i do is to set the spin at very high so that it whisks the extra liquid to make the drying time shorter. So far all my clothes are dry in the 2hrs time span.

Why doesn’t the light turn on when I open the door
The light only turns on a few seconds after the cycle, beyond that the lights stays off. I still haven't figured it out how to turn the lights on.

I just wanted to Turn it on for the washer and then how to turn on the drier....... I just died.
To turn on the washer and dryer.
First set click wheel to "Normal"
Then leave all settings as is, only change the drying time. in order to do that just click the Dry button, just keep on clicking it till you see the time increment of 30mins. i usually set dry time to 2 hours 30mins.

I have this washer win …. I think it is very loud …the washers spin cycle is so strong that the machine starts to move on a level ground. Is there any way I could tone down the machine where it’s not so powerful.
Mine isn't that loud though and doesn't move when spinning very fast.
Maybe try the "soil" setting, set it to low perhaps
It had the shipping bolts in it that’s y it was loud I took them out and the machine is very quiet now

Kindly do not buy LG AI products, it's poor quality plus poor service, since 2 weeks my laundry has been piled up, my brand new washing machine stopped working in 15days... The repair is taking months.. Worst choice I made in electronics
With new technology you got to buy the protection plan with it. As to not end up in the situation you were in. Its just hard to combine electronics with mechanical. Not just in use, but in problems when needed to be fix aswell. Its harder to diagnose. Because sometimes they could be nothing wrong witb the machine. You just dont know how to use it. So if you dont like buying protection plans then I suggest just stick with pure mechanical washer or dryer with a turn nob.

Not sure what else is a good option but all I know is that the one we got is nothing but headaches. Just had the pump changed on a new unit it's not 2 years old. You have to go through this laborious process of taking the machine apart every now and then to do a thorough lint cleaning.
The machine we had was probably only six or so years old six seven years old it was constantly braking down like half a dozen times at least kept on breaking down and finally got rid of but the property owner insisted on replacing it with the exact same kind of machine but it has the same kind of problems.

I have a combo in my new house but I’m having a bad time. When I turn it on select normal then I want cold extra high spin heavy and time dry of 2:30 but the buttons on spin won’t go to x high and the dry time won’t work. What am I doing wrong
