You really question yourself about judging Wily as a stupid when he makes a machine that is the hardest opponent for Mega man just because it can split into pieces that move left & right
I failed so many times on this boss until I finally beat him with a near flawless victory. Its all about getting the timing and pattern down and so much more rewarding that using the cheat.

Yellow Devil, in my opinion is difficult in Mega Man 1. The Mega Man 3 version of Yellow Devil is cheap the fact that you can slide which means the MM3 battle is WAY easier.
This was the #1 most difficult boss to beat in Mega Man 1. I'm not very good at defeating the Yellow Devil for sure, but when playing Mega Man 3, it's exactly the opposite since Capcom came up with the idea of allowing Mega man to slide which is smart.

It wasn't much of a rehash as much as it was a remake. It now has desperation attacks, random patterns, and new appearing areas. And nowadays, I would say Mega Man 11 is the closest to rehashing this fight since it used the exact same pattern.
Yep I never really played every entry in the MM franchise growing up and I really only want to "experience" what young gamers played back in the day as a popular series, i don't at all care about being a professional gamer or boasting and proving how insanely hard core I am at difficult games. I simply don't give a shit. Besides most NES games were not just challenging, they were due to poor design as well and Megaman is no different. I am mostly an rpg gamer, but I thought I would play through some of the popular franchises like Mario, Megaman, Metroid, Metal Gear, Donkey kong, etc.
at least the yellow devil has a pattern so you can learn and be able to defeat him, the Shadow Devil in Megaman X5 though, no pattern, all moves are random, harder then hell, and I bet alot of people threw there PlayStations out there windows trying to beat him.
out of all the devils i fought: Rainbow devil in Megaman Zero, Shadow Devil in Megaman X5, yellow devil in Megaman....i thought Rainbow devil made more of a challenge....shadow devil is second challenged cause he does one hit kill if u run right into him or his outline he leaves behind -.-
I was in prison and we had tablets, Mega Man was one of the games for sale, I had to do this with a touchscreen, never forget the homies on the inside 🫡
I remember first time fighting this dude... Then continuing for like 2 weeks until my big brother showed me the infamous select glitch. Thank god for older siblings (Also got me through water temple from Ocarina of time)

You have to experience it yourself man. It looks so easy when a hardcore player dominates the game like this. I had to use the glitch tho I would like to beat it without that.
It ain't so bad, trust me. The pattern is just, Middle, Floor, Middle, Double Whammy (One Floor and One Middle), Middle, Floor. Remember this, and you'll be able to take this guy down legit. Now, keeping the rhythm can be tough though. Just keep trying. You'll get it.

Omg I finally beat him!!!! Guys... The trick is: Every 4th block he throws the fifth is super close so you have to time a bigger jump than the rest of the blocks. Once you’ve mastered that than he is bearable ugh! Took me like 40 tries >:)
gg I gave up on him after trying this piece of shit for an1,5 2 hours I never got more then 2 hits in before dying every low block I jump I get hit by an higher one every single freaking time
I never beat him when I was a kid, and when the anniversary collection came and I was already a man, it was time for my revenge and I finally got that bastard.
On NES, if you don't close the game, you retry the level but all the level you beat don't need to be beaten a second time, UNLESS, you shut the game off.
