    My 1st grade teacher did this to a 12 year old boy. I was in 5th grade at the time, so around the same age as the victim, maybe even in the same class as him. I remember it being big local news, and she got prison time. I wasn't even directly impacted by it, but I just remember how confused and sick I felt when I learned about it. I trusted her. I remember loving her when I was in her class. They had trauma counselors come out to the school and talk to us about it. It really rocked the whole community. Sadly, some are in this profession to take advantage of them. Parents, I urge you to be extremely vigilant with your children. Install monitoring apps, ask the tough questions, and never blindly trust anyone around your kids. Too many issues are swept under the rug and never make it to the courts.

    Hi Stephanie!! I just wanted to let you know that it looks like Adam and his friend were interviewed by a forensic interviewer at a children’s advocacy center. These centers are often nonprofits whose only goal is to use trauma-informed and child friendly services like forensic interviews, counseling, family advocacy, and forensic medical exams. One way the apply their trauma-informed approach is by having law enforcement, cps, and/or prosecutors watch the interview in a separate room so that the child never has to directly see them, because it can be so intimidating. While the child is being interviewed the parents are often talking with a family advocate who spends that time providing support and psychoeducation. I’m currently interning at a CAC and the work they do is wonderful and I hope more people learn about the amazing resources that are available to children and their families.

    • @Ohmygodbritany
      @Ohmygodbritany 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I think it really depends on the center and the forensic interviewer. I took my teenage daughter to one of these centers in regard to SA, the interviewer only spoke with her for 7 minutes, she didn’t allow her to speak about what she wanted to say, and she brushed us off like we were wasting her time. Months later, the man in question admitted to SA. That interview and experience made my daughter feel beyond worse and unheard in what was a truly traumatic time.

    Sadly this is a very common issue where I live (France). I can't even remember the number of times I've reported teachers who were behaving inappropriately with their students but NOTHING has ever been done under the pretext that we are experiencing a shortage of middle and high school teachers... For me the most striking example of this problem here is literally our president, he started dating his wife (our first lady!) when he was 15 and she was his teacher. As a girl who experienced being molested by a middle school teacher (male) when I was only 12 years old, it hurts me deeply to see people blaming these poor children.

    Thank you so much for covering this case Stephanie ❤ and actually calling it what it is-sexual abuse-because I've seen some shorter videos covering this case just calling it "sex" when it is absolutely not just sex. It is sexual abuse towards a child. Thank you so much for covering this Stephanie ❤
    -
    And as somebody studying to become a teacher, i genuinely am disgusted by this case. People become teachers to help the younger generations. To TEACH that generation. Absolutely NOT to ABUSE those precious children. They are precious and they will help lead the future of our country. Its absolutely awful for her to be doing this and for her (now former) husband to be DEFENDING this.

He's not showing any remorse over what was going on with his wife and also when they tried to tell the “GROWN UPS” what happened which I bet would’ve taken a lot for the kids, and he didn’t really do anything or believe him. It’s also terrible how the kids didn’t even know what most the things meant and she was showing them what it was. Just honestly disappointing. Also I LOVE YOUR BACKGROUND❤

    I cannot understand how anyone can blame the child in ANY of these cases. It is clear in everything that Brittany was the one driving the relationship. She told the students to message her. She told him to meet her places or come with her and make the plans. It could not be more clear. Adam was only doing what an adult he TRUSTED wanted him to do. Kids often end up in these situations because they are susceptible to people pleasing tendencies.
    Even IF Adam had been the one to flirt or ask her to come meet him somewhere, it is the adult's responsibility to tell them "no". That isn't even what happened in this case. Brittany is a monster. The principal is a monster. The husband is a monster. Anyone who blames Adam for these actions is a monster. I really hope he gets the help and support that he needs to heal.

    I can NOT stand how people diminish Woman on boy rape, especially when compared to how they respond to Man on girl rape. They are all CHILDREN who are preyed upon by ADULTS! And if you think that that little boy is lucky, well you're right. He's lucky his parents were vigilant! He was lucky they protected him and saved him from a disgusting monster. That poor baby will never trust people again, he will have to cope with this for the rest of his life. My heart goes out to him. Hug your babies, watch out for the evil aiming for them, and teach them that adults don't love them in that capacity, the ones who say they do just want to hurt them. I just wish the monsters under the bed were the only monsters in the world, they're so much easier to protect them from. 💔

      You mean, make jokes about it? Say the victim is making "false accusations" and/or deserved it? Ask what the victim was wearing?
      Or that the victim should stop being so hysterical and overreactiong, because it's "just a compliment"?
      Or perhaps that the victim "seduced the poor assaulter, the assaulter is the real victim here, ,really"?
      Is that what you mean?
      You shit for brain can't even express your sympathies to a victim without making fun of everything female victims go through.
