Buying the wrong brand of milk is a mistake. Kidnapping a little girl, choking her, slitting her throat SA her and leaving her broken little body for dead unclothed in a field is not a mistake that’s a conscious decision and the fact that man attempted it again years later shows he had no remorse and if he hadn’t been arrested, he would have probably have kept doing it. I don’t believe the fake crocodile tears either, he left that child for dead .When faced with the consequences that’s when he decides to take the easy way out.

This is how I feel every time every time someone is arguing like rehabilitate criminals and I'm like they make conscious decisions to do what they did. There's no rehabilitation for certain crimes like you could rehabilitate. Maybe a thief. You can rehabilitate someone who assaulted. Not assaulted but like physically assaulted somebody. You cannot rehabilitate our predator once a predator always a predator. The only difference is there is scientific studies showing like as they get older the desire to commit these crimes lowers because they were trying to connect it to testosterone because of you notice like there are tons of serial killers who have never been caught and the reason that they probably stopped was because they were just getting older. Obviously as males get older testosterone levels drop and all that other stuff but you still can't rehabilitate them. They still need to be caught and pay for their crimes. I don't care how old they are. The dude can be 98 on his deathbed. He needs to be put on trial. He still committed the crime even if it was 40 years ago

I disagree. People are more complex than that. He might be sick in a head, have sort of violent impulses, lose control and on the next day - be normal again. His criminal history doesn't look like well-thought and premeditated, no killing sprees whatsoever. I would bet more on him having ability to feel full spectrum of emotions, rather than being cold blooded socipath with no feelings. But did he really prayed for that girl? Honestly, who cares. Him getting away with his crime looks like more of a flop of a police and lack of technology at that time. I'm sad he got those 20 years of life.

I can't believe he said, "My life has been f*cked up for 20 years for my mistake". Kidnapping and assaulting an 8 year old girl isn't a mistake; he knows what he was doing. No sane person would call that a mistake. Jennifer has to spend the rest of her life remembering that day. I wish he would've gotten the chance to rot in a prison cell for the rest of his life. I am so happy she could speak again and have children. I wish her nothing but the best as her life goes on.

I watched him get stung/bit by a fire ant and the pain /tingling or like I guess even numbing their bite causes is amazingly horrific, but I imagine that the pain of the ant bites would be minor to not being able to breathe and the weird sensation of bleeding out. You get warm really warm and in some cases feel pulsing like if you wound your finger, I think she could've felt like that just all over so an ant bite would send a more shocking type pulse and stimulus that causes adrenaline and yes more pain in the sense she's been bitten by dozens .but I'm not sure of the pain comparison to the damage to her throat. Like the ants bite is similar to a bee sting just a bit worse 🤔.but so many all over is a lot worse than a bee sting 😅

Very few good doctors these days. As even then there have been moments of people coming back from dying of natural causes. Even how a person CAN survive, they could have died if otherwise, but when a person has a will, there's a way. Or at the very least, they can die in a little more comfort. As some people die en route to a hospital or at the hospital or merely wish to not die alone, or even walk to get help despite terrible excruciating pain. There's miracles, I know there are. Some have proved where there's a will, there's a way. Some don't believe in the almighty, some don't even believe such nonsense can happen. But me? I believe miracles can happen. God or magic, it can happen, scientific explanations or not, there is much about our own bodies we don't understand, the mind and soul. There's things we still don't know about ourselves. Which I find very intriguing.

    • @Thedarkbunnyrabbit
      @Thedarkbunnyrabbit 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

I realize nobody is likely going to believe it because we live in a world of extremes, but: he confessed fully and made no excuse before he knew she was alive. Those tears were relief that she was alive, not tears that he was caught. He knew he was caught already before this. People don't want to think about it, but it's true that the worst monsters are still human, and even if their morals make no sense to normal people they still have them. He was clearly plagued with guilt and hated himself for what he did, but was afraid to face the consequences, so never turned himself in. When he realized he was caught he confessed immediately, and only after he found out she survived did he cry - either out of happiness or relief. He still wasn't willing to face the consequences of that in prison, though, and so he took the quick way out.
He's monstrous for what he did, and no one should feel bad for him, but it seems - unlike many who take similar horrible actions - he's capable of feeling remorse for it. Often juries and the justice system function in such a way that saying 'well they feel remorse' is a defense or used to get lesser punishments, and thus we're trained to argue against a killer or monster feeling remorse, but in this case it's simple fact. And while it wasn't an official judgment, he did ultimately receive the death penalty for it and he didn't offer his remorse as a plea for lighter sentencing or sympathy, so I am willing to believe it is true remorse.

She is now a police officer in that same area and she was there to watch him be executed. She wore a shirt that said “long over due” because his name was Bobby Joe long. She’s an absolute hero
Edit: one thing I forgot to mention was that she was going to take her life the same night she got kidnapped. In a way, this traumatic experience saved her life because she realized she has to fight to protect other girls and women by getting this man and others locked up.

But form the sound of it you didn’t do any of those things that’s why you’re not in jail so if you mean just by hanging by the wrong people, saying some things you shouldn’t have, threatening someone, ect things like that then you 💯% didn’t deserve that iont care what you said with ur words facts are you didn’t do it nor did you ask to get ur throat sliced just like this little girl didn’t ask to be treated how she was by this horrible man

I read a story of a woman/man who was a victim of a plane crash, and was severely injured but was saved. The reason being that his/her body was on top of a fire ant Colony, and the ant bites actually kept the heart alive. I feel like those ants kept Jennnifer awake too. She was such a strong little girl. I literally got chills.

Back on September 25th, 1999, a forty seven year old woman named Joan Murray went skydiving.
Unfortunately, on that day, Murray’s parachute failed to open after she jumped from a plane that was flying at an altitude of fourteen thousand five hundred feet.
Murray’s secondary parachute also failed to deploy, which led to Murray crashing into a fire ant mound at more than eighty miles per hour. These fire ants did not waste any time attacking her unconscious body before she was rushed to the hospital.
According to doctors, the fire ants shocked Murray’s heart into beating in addition to stimulating her nerves. By attacking Murray, the fire ants were helping to preserve her body until she reached a hospital.
Murray was in a coma for two weeks and several operations had to be performed on her, but she survived thanks to those fire ants.

@@thegrimlooper I was eleven and slapping away the hands of men from my thighs and refusing to hug the males in my family just because they were family. SA of young girls is a joke. And I do find that forced hugging of uncles and one thinking that a kiss was cute. I had male cousins, because of how their dads treated the females of the family, would make sexual advances even toward their own cousins. Yes, it's time that SA as a milestone for girls and boys stops. My sophomore year in high school I wrote a paper about incest and SA about both sexes and the stats that I know have not changed. 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys. Think about it when you are in a group setting. Sitting in a church. Restaurant. Theatre. Go to your high school reunion. How many people are victims and are perpetuating the cycle just in that setting alone.

Yes! I just had twins a boy and girl. I already found myself worried about someone touching her and never want her to go through the constant touching and comments made by men. It breaks my heart that it'll probably happen no matter what I do. Yesterday a creepy old man asked me how much I would sell her for. I laughed it off like it was a joke, but he didn't laugh. 😧

As a victim of sa myself this case gave me hope about seeing my two rapists in prison some day. It was last year when I was at my freshman year at college, 18 years old when they drugged me and... The remaining of the history y'all know. I knew one of them and the other was a complete unknown for me, I reported it on the same day and gave hair samples for the drug test (that was kind os useless since police never had interest in testing it), the doctor at the emergency room called me a liar, my body of crime exam was leaked to the local journalists, but it seems my case has been archived since one of the guys hasn't even been in prisoned preventively and the other was released the next day. I had to move colleges and left my place at the uni that I've always dreamed of... The rapists? Both are free and living their best life, even tho I had it all to catch them, except for the money... Hopefully one day I'll meet both of them in the court and they'll not be able to touch anyone ever again
