Tossing the sanding block on the glass really makes you seem so cool. Can you throw your materials around more next video so we can think your even cooler.
You're literally a godsend dude. Every other shadowbox video I've seen overcomplicates everything about the process and makes it seem so daunting. This is spectacularly simple and beautiful, and I can't wait to make mine!
That ambrosia maple was an awesome choice. I’m gonna go through my stack at home and see if I have enough but I may go with cherry. Thanks for the video
That’s a great question. Unfortunately the answer isn’t anything great. Haha…I just felt like doing them with the router and then I immediately regretted that decision. I generally do them all on the table saw.
@@familyman1071 Generally you would make them yourself. But if Lowe’s carries 1/8” thick stock then it should be the same thickness as your sawblade and can fit in that kerf.
Man, I wish i had tools and space to work. I'd be making these all day, for collectables, jerseys, military awards, disney pins, you name it. I dont mean to be bubba gum shrimpin ya, but dang. lots of ideas.
I was just looking up shadow boxes so I can make for my wife's crafting shop I'm building her (The SHE SHED ) LMAO.... What type of Router Bit and Glass did you use ? Awesome video

For you, anything. Can you comment on my other videos so everyone can think you’re even cooler?
@@staveandhorn7301 All 222 of them?! Nah not worth it 😂😂😂
@@Mike_VH You’re hilarious.
Hey, at least he’s not tossing salads, 😂
Where can i get that 4 corner clamp setup?

You did a great job of showing how to do this without spending a lot of needless time explaining. 👍👍👍
Simple, elegant and great video!
Excited to replicate! Great video that is super easy to follow. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you! I’ve always loved the way it looked.
@@staveandhorn7301 The splines were a great touch too. I like adding them in my projects anywhere I can
Very nice video. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
Great video mate. This is really going to help me with my current shadow box build for a customer.
That’s awesome to hear! Good luck!
Great video. Hoping to make one soon for some memorial flowers and pictures of my best friend that just passed away. You made it look easy. Thank you
Great skills!
Oh yeah, I forgot, tossing the sanding block on the glass got you a subscriber.
I love this
Thank you!
What’s the name of the strap that you’re using at the 2:00 mark? Great video!
I missing something. How do you open the shadow box to put the jersey inside. It looks fully incase.
The clips on the back just get loosened and the whole panel comes off.
You music is off tge chain. 😊
Thanks, I’m onna do mine this way for my skateboard decks
I am so glad to see that I am not the only person that pulls a push broom. I got so much flack for that in the military.
If it works, it works!
I’m building one like this, will acrylic work the same
Absolutely
Curious. Why did you cut the rabbet with a router instead of the table saw? Project turned out really well. Love the wood and the splines.
That’s a great question. Unfortunately the answer isn’t anything great. Haha…I just felt like doing them with the router and then I immediately regretted that decision. I generally do them all on the table saw.
What are those little black things called to hold the back on
They are called Picture Frame Turn Buttons
What are the wood strips you put on the corners?
They are called splines. A miter joint is a notoriously weak joint over time. A spline is a way to reinforce the joint and strengthen it.
@@staveandhorn7301 awesome, thanks man.
@@staveandhorn7301 when going to lowes what do i look for?

Any plans or material list?
Love the video but do not have to tools...any chance you are selling?!
Jc what Model Table Saw is that? Good video.
It’s the 3hp Sawstop. Best purchase I’ve ever made.
Awesome video mate! What is the corner clamp called/where did you get it from? I'm in Australia so hopefully we have it over here!
It’s pretty neat to see how there mad I’m just lucky I found a nice old big one at goodwill
Great video....No wonder they are $500-$900 on line for custom. The tools need to do this is pricey and will set you back. Table saw, router etc...
Very true!

why make the slits in the corner?

And it looks gorgeous
What kind of wood did you use?
That was ambrosia maple with walnut splines
@@staveandhorn7301 🤔🤔🤔 sounds like something I can’t get at Lowe’s or Home Depot...?
@@GodsWarrior4221 You can get walnut from Home Depot. You can use any wood you want!

Thank you! I’m pretty sure it was a 1/4” rabbet bit, possibly 3/8”. I think the glass was 3/32”
