Hope you enjoy your truck, as a Big Rock owner and a very sucky driver (getting back into it after 7+ years), I've hit from nearly every possible angle and nothing has broken yet. This includes a tree hit at about 35-40 MPH, where the ESC plug broke a solder joint (switched to deans), partly my rusty soldering skills, but there was a chunk of wood removed from the tree
@@TheRCNetwork, yeah these trucks are tough, Mine is the longer wheelbase onw, chose it to control the power better, same Power system, except using the Arrma 3s version esc
do these trucks have shaft upgrades at all? seems like the plastic ones are pretty strong. im just curious to know if there are any upgrades for it? especially the center.
there are upgrades out there...but I wouldn't trust the upgrade companies though....I think the stock would be a better upgrade than those. I didn't see anything for the center
Yeah, early on, I broke a TON of RC's there....mostly from not knowing how to land/drive. I still don't know how, but seem to skirt around breakages more now
Oh, gosh, no......These are plastic chassis'd plastic drive trained trucks...plus the weight penalty of that system.....If you want a 6S Arrma that's similar, look at the Typhon or the Talion - they're the closest ATM
how do you bind the vortex 4x4 the new one I don't know how I ran it when I first got it with a little bit of battery power I had until my battery charger came I pushed the set button by accident and now it won't work at all what do I do someone please tell me what the f*** do I do?
Nope, it didn't. It's crazy - just a few years ago, any RC doing that would have been destroyed. Only damage I had was a bit to the body...the front shock towers punched through the body a bit
It's good to know nothing broke after all the bashing. I should get one soon. Just wondering why those who complained about the losi lasernut not being durable arent making a video on the vortex.. #rcpolitics.
Great video once again. I own an XMaxx but I’m looking into an ARRMA Big Rock to keep in my work truck. Now I’m wondering if I should order this. So which would you choose?
Hey John, I hung up my RC hat back in August 2021 - After nearly 10 years on TH-cam showcasing RC products with well over 1,000 videos, my time was done. I ended up selling off nearly my entire collection and went back to my first hobby - Mountain Biking. I've made both an MTB channel and a Toyota Tacoma channel if you want to keep up with me (They're highlighted at the top of my channel). I only make videos now when I want to though. RC started as a new hobby in 2010, but it grew into a second job very quickly once I turned the cameras on in 2012.
@@TheRCNetwork Well good for you! You sound happy and that's the name of the game I think. I'll definitely check your new channels out. Please look out for an email from fpmc**** in a day or two if you don't mind. I have a question for you. Talk to you soon.
I use copyright free music as a way to cover up any talking done by people in the video. Also, I can't please everyone...but thanks for at least "watching"
@@TheRCNetwork Yep. Some have suggested its something to do with Spektrum, and declaring it the 'Spektrum Tax'. I dont really understand it but when you consider I paid £310 for a V2 granite (expensive enough) and now Arrma want near £400 for this, its beyond a joke!
@@TheRCNetwork I know. Just looking in to it, and if I imported a 6s Kraton from the US with a battery and 70usd shipping, it would still be cheaper than buying one over here WITHOUT a battery. I might just bite the bullet ago for it.
Awesome video! loved the old school Jang montage.
Thanks buddy! Dang was one of the greatest - inspired much of my video style
@@TheRCNetwork I used to view all his videos. I even joined his forum, thats how I won my arrma granite.
Best Vorteks video I have seen yet. Tracks pretty straight and seems to stay planted. Subd
Thanks buddy - I appreciate the nice comments! Thanks for the sub
Great bash Rich! Vorteks seem to hold up well. Love the old Jang Durability Montage😁
The Lego durability montages just aren't the same as the old rc ones were.
Some may not remember those. But I loved that
Some may not remember those but I loved it

Very nice Rich! You always put together great videos. Thank you for the footage!!
Thanks buddy! It's fun editing these
Awesome session. Of course if I tried pulling jumps like that I'd have that broken in half in less than 2.5 minutes.
Thanks buddy! Yeah, I've had my share of breakages.....
Less bashing, Nice drivetrain on low mounds, I'm very impressed that it handled very well! (B+)
Thanks for stopping by!

Hoping to find a good bathing spot like that.
🎉 I am getting mine this Saturday!🎉!!!
Nice! Have fun!
Just received mine the other day. Loving it, I went with the purple variant and love the colours and body.
Nice! I like the purple....
👀 Those were some big sends Rich! 🚀 Vorteks looks to handle it all with ease 👍
It sure does....a bit harder to rotate for flips, but it does well at everything else

M2c racing has been coming out with upgrades for it. Check them out I’m sure they will have more coming fairly soon.
Cool, good to know....I did a quick search and nothing from M2C popped up
@@TheRCNetwork go to the website then look under arrma 3s blx upgrades.
Just curious i just got mine i seen lot people say the spectrum motors are junk what motor do u recommend something same power
Take a look at the Hobbywing EZrun (RTR upgrade) or the Xerun (Race series). I've never been a fan of the Spektrum stuff, tbh.
@@TheRCNetwork cool thanks
Nice Rich!
Love that spot, but it’s brutal on equipment! ......those jumps just call to my inner “Jason Perrin”😎

Will the drive train handle the six s arrma system thats on other trucks. Is there a six s version off these

There's re-bind instruction in the manual.....simply pull the manual and it'l walk you through the steps
Did that thing not break? Particularly during the durability Montague? That's amazing if so.

Hello
New subbie from Indonesia👋
Greetings one remote from Indonesia👋
Awesome footage bro 👍
Extreme power😍😍😍
Very agresif 👍
Thanks GGWB RC! Thanks for stopping by!
What’s the top mph with that gen ace 8000mah 100c battery?
Top MPH is determined by more than just the battery.....it's also gear ratio, motor kv and terrain.
have you had a rc land on the tree in front of the jump?
Yep......I clipped a limb in the durability montage

This one has a few updates with the electronics, slightly more speed and AVC, I believe over the Big Rock. Either is a great option
This video is great, but i wanted to know what have you broken after the durability test on this new vorteks 4x4?🤔
Zero. Besides a puncture in the body caused my the front shock tower
Great video bro im sold 👍🏽
It sells itself! Thanks for stopping by!
Hey where did you go bro? I hope everything is okay. Please come back soon if you can.

Nice truck, I was thinking of getting a senton for my first rc car , now I'm not so sure
The Senton is decent too!
awesome vid! looks like great truck, can I ask how much run time you get with that Lipo? Thanks in advace
This entire video was shot with one battery pack.....and I ran for about 30+ minutes
that's a little beast. did i get some damages at the failed landings? cool location/jumps/shots...subscribed.
Thanks for watching! Nope, no damage other than the body taking a bit of abuse....otherwise 100% full working order!

Thanks - was working a while on the edit last night

Like a good 35-40 minutes....and it was on 3.8v/cell when I got home after filming
