This truck is the most expensive in the 3s range but it does come with some excellent features not found on the other models in the line-up.
The Vorteks has upgraded electronics and is now running a spektrum DX3 transmitter with AVC (Active Vehicle Control) built into the receiver.
So what does AVC do and is it a deciding factor when considering the 3s range?
AVC is a system that monitors your trucks every move and makes small minute adjustments to steering and throttle to ensure things stay nice and stable when you are out bashing or on the track.
But does this make the Vorteks worth the £400/$400 Price tag?
With an upgraded motor/ESC/Servo, New improved shocks and absolutely epic body and colour scheme this stadium truck does offer lots of great features for the money.
This is the fastest RTR 3s Car Arrma have ever produced and in my opinion it’s EPIC!

I have a question did yours make a weird noise or noises like a grinding sound when doing some aerial tricks? Mines been making grinding sounds when backflipping sounds like a pinon gear grinding but not to sure
@@coryfatur9866 i have noticed it does sound different to my granite. Definitely a grinding noise and will be investigating that ASAP!

Cheap, easy to work on it, relatively fast and quite durable. A very good option for a newbie and also good for experienced people. Got two of them myself (stock and modified) and I'm pretty pleased with them.

I can’t wait to get one of these in the next month. We live near woods with hidden hills/gravel paths so I can’t wait to thrash it about. We already have a granite and senton plus a couple of fast UDI’s but I am sooooo excited to get one of these. :) such a great review and it has definitely made me more excited now x

The colour is amazing! The purple and pink is the best colour in my opinion 😎👍. Handles very well and the typhon will be great! All the 3s range are excellent!

Just had a change of mind! Am looking at the team associated mt10 or possibly the mt8! My last rc car was purchased from Tandy over 30 years ago for those who remember that shop.
Been waiting to watch this one properly haha bloody so all up the caravan was terrible, great vid mate full of info, it’s a canny little thing that, but still fancy me a Senton man n the 3s range

Its a difficult one as this costs £400 is very close to the 6s range so does make it hard to decide. Stay top end 1/10 or go 1/8? Have to factor is battery cost as well unless you are already sorted with batteries :) 😎👍

Im a noob to the rc game, so i ordered a ARRMA granite 3s v3 blx. Because I like talking my rc cars through rough roads and high grasslands. But if i wanted the vortex I would pay the extra 50-70 dollars for it. But im glad that ARRMA came out with the 3s lineup, i picked the granite over the team associated rival mt10. I just want something that is not going to break on me to fast, and those mt10 arms r like glass. I like ur content keep up with the good reviews.

The arrma 3s cars are one of the best affordable cars with a lot of strength.
I love it ! I am going to buy the body + wells and place it on a 144001 chassis and 120 amp ESC for higher speed :-)
But the Vorteks is 1/10 scale, and the 144001 is 1/14 scale, so the body would be too big and would not fit, unless you drill new holes, but it would still look a bit weird. What do you mean by "wells"? If the Vorteks was 1/14 scale, I'd probably put one on my 144001

I noticed that mine has a light clicking sound just like yours does. Doesn't seem to affect anything, performance wise, but sounds different than my other V3 3S RCs from Arrma....have you noticed this too?
I have noticed this and it appears a few people are having the same problem. Now im not sure if its normal or something is wrong but i will be investigating this further as i know my granite certainly doesn't make this noise 😮
My personal opinion is to go with the Granite V3. I had the Granite V2, which I sold to a friend and bought the Vorteks. I wish I would have saved the extra $60 and bought the Granite V3. I'm pretty sure it is just my driving style, but I love to do big jumps and as many front/back flips as I can get in. I thought the Vorteks would flip as well as the Granite, but it does not. If you're looking for something that handles better, then the Vorteks is great, especially if you want to drive it on a track or do speed runs. I personally prefer the higher clearance and better aerobatics of the Granite. The Vorteks is still a great truck, it just depends on what you want it to do.

I have had mine for a month. I am using a 6000MAH 100C 3S Lipo and I am only getting about 12 minutes of run time. I was hoping for a lot more run time, and this is on 75%. Hi Nick. I have exactly the same issue on mine. Having had a lot of dialogue with Arrma in the uk (Logic RC) it’s a known problem - the LVC point is set too high (on mine it’s 3.8 v) . An update patch is coming that can be installed by the spektrum programmer or by your LHS. Until then, use the biggest battery you can, gear down the pinion to a 15t or even swap out the esc.
