  • Prison Misery (2002) - This documentary examines undercover footage from South African prisons, taken by the prisoners themselves to expose the widespread corruption amongst staff.
    Subscribe to Journeyman here: th-cam.com/users/subscription_c...
    In footage that rocked South Africa, secret filming by four long-term prisoners reveals the drugs, guns and sex sold to inmates by warders. A convicted murderer is even sold a loaded gun to help him escape. It’s shocking evidence of the corruption in South Africa’s prisons.

    What pisses me of is that they are still on duty and yet not arrested. SA law is terribly weak AF.

    The fact that all the warders seen in these videos are all still on duty and that the prison chief that authorised the video recordings has been threatened by the prison bosses tells one all they need to know about corruption in the prison service and their attitude towards it!

      The scene with the boy is especially hard to watch, I also feel the inmate who bought the boy has no self respect, I understand prison life is something else, but to openly flaunt yourself buying young men for sex as a male figure is disgusting and animalistic, it shows no morals and lack of self control, shame on you old man, you're no hero, you're a damn perv in my opinion

    sadly the weed n methaqualone i get, you're locked up, bored, fuck all to do and it helps pass the time but the gun is a bit much, especially knowing it'll be used against your fellow guards in an escape attempt, this guy sets anew low for corruption. i got more respect for that one guard who refused the bribe but turned an eye to the weed

      bringing drugs to prisoners is as wrong as bringing in a gun. The punishment should be life in prison for any prison guard who is involved in any type of smuggling. Prison is not a vacation for criminals, why should they bring them drugs? drugs in prison are dangerous for everyone even society at large

      For seven years McKenzie had witnessed violent crimes committed inside the walls of the Bloemfontein prison. But helping the bleeding youngster who had been raped by 18 inmates spelt a Damascene conversion for McKenzie.
      "At that very moment," says McKenzie, "I became sick of crime, sick of all the rapes and robberies. I wanted to change my life."
      A couple of weeks later he convinced three other inmates to help him film the routine rapes and other illicit activities in the prison.
      He was the first prisoner introduced at the beginning.
      He is now a multu-millionaire, mayor and motivational speaker.

    I have mixed views about this, while this is wrong I also understand that it is a matter of life and death for the guards to form these relationships with the inmates.

    Sometimes one wonders why God creates such beings. They are the children of the devil. The worst is the leaders, authorities etc. How can they let these people live.

    • @justinmartin4662
      @justinmartin4662 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? Have you ever even read the Bible? By modern standards god makes the devil look like a Girl Scout with the things he does.
      Plus, you know, it’s myth...
